I'm not sure if my spouse and I were just unlucky, but I did not have the great experience other reviewers had. While the massage I received from Chamad was great (I kind of wish he was located at a better spa), I can't really say there was much else to write home about. My spouses massage (who I booked the gift for) was "ok." I also booked for the February "Kiss me special" and we didn't not receive anything outside of the massage itself that was included in that special. We were supposed to receive champagne, chocolates, and a foot massage for the $220 price. I can also confirm what another reviewer stated, nowhere is it noted or advised that a "convenience fee" would be charged. Not during booking or even after I was charged was it mentioned. I did not receive sandals for the service and had to walk barefoot throughout the location (my spouse did receive sandals.) I wish I could recommend this location and I am not one to post reviews as I feel every business goes through their moments, but I just cannot recommend this business to anyone. It was a bit shady not advising ahead of time of the fee and even more shady that most of the service paid for was not received. Do not offer "specials" if you cannot fulfill them. read more

Kim is the best!!! She has completely transform my skin and brought my confidence back. I never thought I'd see the day where I would love my oily skin. Kim really makes sure to get to know your skin and listens to what your needs are, she carefully explains what she is doing and why. She surpasses any facials I have ever gotten, my skin is so plump and I come out of there literally glowing! You can't go wrong with someone who cares for your skin just as much as you do. While the services I received were excellent my checkout experience was not. This business charges a fee when paying with a credit card. While many businesses are doing this they inform you when you call in an order or make an appointment. This business does not and it is not disclosed anywhere on their website. I received 3 different appointment confirmations via email and text. Not one mentioned the credit card fee. Had I known I would have brought cash. My boyfriend and I went for a couples massage for my birthday. We went in with not such high expectations since it was our first time getting a massage and we didn't know what to expect. I booked the massage 1 week before my birthday and we were able to get fit in. The woman attending to me over the phone was very sweet and marked in the computer that it was my birthday which was nice. Obviously I went in expecting a little birthday glass of champagne or something....got nothing. There was infused water, tea, and some treats everyone in the waiting area could grab though. We were the last appointment to get massages. I told my massage therapist that this was our first time and I don't think it really sank in. First off, I had my glasses on. I was nervous and didn't know what to do with them. My boyfriend had an eye treatment while I wide eyes open because my massage therapist WOULDN'T STOP TALKING TO ME. I didn't get the eye treatment. It was just strange that since it was my first time and I didn't know proper protocol, they would make us feel relaxed. We didn't. I finally closed my eyes after 25 mins of my 60 mins and tried to enjoy it. Never again. It was a weak ass massage. The place is beautiful but our massage therapist, eh. read more

Went here twice. The first time was for a microdermabrasion facial. My professional was Super sweet and kind. The atmosphere is very clean and tranquil. The second time I went it was for a couples massage. A deep tissue. My professional was amazing he was able to work out many upon many knots. I still have more but I will def go back and for him. My husband however did not have a great experience. His professional was an older woman. She did not know what she doing. He felt that it was both a waste of time and money. I'm trying to convince him to give them another try. Perhaps he can request another professional. I'm due back there 5/20/17 as a gift for Mother's Day. Spontaneous massage! Called same day and was able to schedule an appointment! Amazing customer service. It's so nice, clean and tranquil inside. Cell phones are discouraged, which is so nice nowadays that we spend every moment on our tech devices! If I could give this place negative points I would! Not only is this place filthy, they have unethical business practice pouring out of the windows. We have $375 in gift cards that are valid through December 2014 and they will not honor them or call us back. One of them is for my 10 year old sister.Yes thats right, they are stealing money from a 10 year old with no remorse. Disgusting. DO NOT waste your time or money here, go somewhere better. Every time you call this place someone will have a new story for you which is mildly entertaining but also a huge red flag about the service. My mom had a regular manicure and pedicur. The lady who did her nails was great as she is very thorough and did a good job on her nails. She is personable as well. I had a regular manicure and was charged $30. This price seems to be unreasonable for the quality of work the lady provided. My cuticles are still hanging out on a few toe nails which she did not cleaned thoroughly as she was paying more attention to text messages on her phone. She was not wearing gloves as well. I do wish Yelp had a feature to delete old reviews when a new owner takes over a business. The spa has always been clean and lovely, however the manicure/pedicure room has needed some sprucing up. The new owner Dawn has been there two weeks and has already started making welcome changes. She has a wonderful, friendly demeanor, perfect for this type of business. There have been a few challenges this week with two snowstorms and then a power outage for a few hours yesterday. Dawn was very gracious and apologetic when I left - and the power outage was due to a pole coming down, nothing she could control. (I hope the irate, rude woman who had to have her facial rescheduled due to the power outage is reading this. A word of advice - all the beauty treatments in the world will not make you beautiful if you have a nasty attitude.) Special thanks to Hannah and Amanda who have been there for years, are great nail techs and deliver outstanding customer service! We even got to laugh as Hannah finished my pedicure by flashlight! IT SHOWS THEIR TRUE COLORS AND WILL SAVE YOU MONEY AND A HEADACHE!!!!! If I were able to select no stars, then that would have been my rating. First, I will start off with their manager, ANN. From booking my appointment to checking out at my appointment, she was just the MOST NASIEST, RUDEST, (I have other words that are completely inappropriate) person on the face of the earth. My favorite and most memorable ANN moment: I was checking out and my services totaled $100. I had 20% off certificate that still needed to be applied to the price. She told me my grand total was $90. I told her that that did not make sense and was incorrect. She argued with me back and forth while slamming her fingers on the keyboard stating she was just going by her computers total. And because that's what the computer kept telling her 20% off was, that was without a doubt what I owed. I asked if I could speak with someone else. She still proceeded to slam fingers on keyboard. I even broke it down for her on my phone calculator. The fact that she had to swear up and down, left and right that the computers math was correct and not even question it was completely PITIFUL. 20% of 100$ is probably the most simplest and basic math skill any adult with a single brain cell could do. Anyone who has any type of basic education, should have been able to look at that and said, "hmm, the computer isn't calculating this correctly." Instead, ANN continued to proceed on with complete attitude. I honestly cannot stress how much easier 20% of $100 could be. Clearly, with the level of "competence" and "skill" demonstrated today by ANN, you are barely required to hold a 6th grade certificate to hold a managerial position at Tranquillo Vi Day Spa, She is a complete embarrassment to the company and by far the RUDDIEST, MOST IMPOLITE, ILL-MANNERED individual's I have ever come in contact with. She has ZERO customer service. I would continue to inform/warn all potential customers about their "manager" ANN, but hopefully by this point you have decided to take your business else where. Additionally, while sitting in the waiting room waiting for 20 minutes after my appointment was scheduled, the employees flew in and out from the back and walked around just complaining. I could care less if you complain but that's something you should do behind closed doors and not in front of customers. Not really good "juju" to have a healthy, successful, thriving business. I do have to say the girls who did my nails were sweethearts and I feel terrible that they have to work under that kind of management. I would rather pay 5 times the amount Tranquillo Vi Day Spa charges for services then to ever give them another dollar; particularly, any money that would go towards ANN'S paycheck. But hey, ANN'S paychecks may help her work on improving her most basic math skills; let alone most basic life skill. I was given a gift certificate for a massage, but couldn't get an appointment so I opted for a mani-pedi instead. The girl that gave me a mani-pedi was nice, although the massage part was non-existent. So not worth $55. I would give her 3 stars; the front desk, on the other hand, I would give -2. I asked for the paraffin treatment to use my $10 balance and they wouldn't do it. Then she wouldn't let me put it towards lotion and said I had to redeem it with a treatment. I feel this is not ethical and it the $10 is that important to her she can keep it because I'm never going back. Any Asian place is twice as good for half the price. read more

When I called last week to schedule a nail appointment they said they were no longer honoring the old gift cards. Mine does not expire until December 2014 . My Mom booked me a massage appointment two years ago for my birthday, and the experience was top notch. I had just moved to the area from Colorado a few weeks earlier, and was still trying to get acquainted to the area. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in the right space. No commercial vibe there! The changing area was as tranquil as the robes were soft, further setting the tone of relaxation. After a short but calming wait in the waiting area, I was greeted by my massage therapist (Nicole), who led me to a good sized therapy room, with a soothing ambience. Not only was the massage on point, but Nicole went out of her way to give me inside tips on local must see, kid friendly, hikes to take with my two daughters. I just jumped on here to get the number, and was surprised to see I had forgotten to leave a review amidst the frenzy of unpacking. I am calling today to book an appointment with Nicole. read more

I was looking forward to my 45-min prenatal massage, followed by a pedicure, especially being 38 weeks pregnant! It was my last treat to myself before our first baby is born. I went in and waited 5 mins before someone even acknowledged me. Made my appt for the next week. They called two days before to reschedule me a little earlier in the day due to "an employee being sick." That was fine with me, it was only a half hour earlier. Then the day of my appt they called again to reschedule me for the same original time I had. They told me I'd have my 45-min massage, a 15-min break, then my pedicure. Well, my massage went well and I felt very good afterwards. I got changed and sat in the waiting room for my pedicure. Waited, waited, waited... the receptionists and other staff coming in and out to clear water glasses and pick up clients. Well, after 45 mins passed, my back was aching from sitting so I went up front to ask if they were running late. 10 mins later they came and told me there was a mixup and the girl would be there in 10 mins. She wasn't even at the spa and had no idea I was on her schedule! Well, it was another 30 mins before I actually got into the pedicure chair from that point! A total of 1.5 hours I sat there in between my massage and pedicure!! Needless to say, that completely negated the massage I just had. I should have just walked out but I wanted a pedicure before I gave birth. The pedicure was good, but not worth the wait. When I went to check out, no one ever asked "how were your treatments", no one said "I'm sorry for the inconvenience"....and they charged me the full price for both. I was so mad I just left, I didn't want to start a confrontation. I was hungry and achy. Never again. I told my mom the story and she confirmed, the customer service there is non-existent! Their receptionists don't know how to schedule. A big disappointment... and an expensive lesson learned. read more

Have had a several massages here along with nails and eyebrows. Each experience is different from the next. Not the best spa, but not the worst either. I would caution having a massage by one of the male masseuses. I was looking forward to having a relaxing massage and ended up hurting when I left for 3 days. I am young and in excellent shape with no injuries , but his technique was awkward and proceeded to bend my limbs in contortionist positions. Strange. I would be wary if you are elderly or have any injuries. I have purposely gone to other spas for massages in the area due to this. Good luck ! read more

I was looking forward to relaxing, but my experience left me annoyed. First, none of the lockers worked. I tried at least three of them and each wouldn't lock. The attendant had to get more keys for lockers which took some time. It was frustrating. I requested a 90-minute Swedish massage. While the quality of the massage was alright, I was constantly bothered with noise of employee chatter and laughing. I was unable to relax with all the noise. Upon completion of what seemed like a shortened massage, I checked the time to see that I had received a 60-minute massage as opposed to the 90 minutes I had requested. I figured it was easier to check out and pay for 60 minutes rather than barter for my additional 30 minutes. Upon reaching the check-out desk, both employees who were working were having a loud, animated conversation with two employees who were on their way out. I had to wait a few minutes for this to finish before I was called to the desk. At the desk, the cashier charged me for 90 minutes and I explained that I only received 60. She quickly realized the mistake and was very apologetic, advising me to reflect the inconvenience in my tip to therapist. I would consider going here again, but only if there are major changes to the process and experience. read more

My boyfriend bought me a $250 gift certificate less than a year ago when the business was "Serenity Day Spa" which is now "Tranquillo Vi Day Spa". A few months ago, I went into purchase two more gift cards for my sister and mother so that we could all go in together for facials/massages. I noticed the ownership had changed, so I asked the manager if I could still use my $250. She assured me that I absolutely could (since it would be illegal to not accept). So, today my boyfriend and I came in for a couples massage since the gift card expires in a month and a half, and we were told that they would be not honoring the $250 gift card, therefore, my boyfriend had paid $250 that he would not be getting back and no one would be able to use at the spa. It's safe to say that we left there with no massages, $250 lost and absolutely livid. We will be calling the Better Business Bureau, and I recommend the many, many others who purchased gift cards and are having their money stolen from them do the same! I understand that this business claims that they were never given the money from the previous corporation, however, that is not our problem. Tranquillo should be honoring the gift cards and not stealing from their customers. Buying a business is a risk, and this is something that can happen when you buy a business. A good business owner should be fighting the previous corporation for their money that was taken, and not putting the costs on their customers. Any good business owner would do that, which makes me question which business has pocketed our $250. I shouldn't have to worry about this. A $250 spa gift card as a gift for Christmas has turned into an enormous headache and huge disappointment, thanks to both of these businesses. In conclusion, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more

My team bought me a $125 gift certificate at Serenity Spa 1/2014 and I called to schedule an appointment several times and they never had an openings. they promised to call me back if i left a message and they never did. after a few months i gave up and then my asst said she would call them for me and make sure i got an appt. She called and was told they changed companies to Tranquillo vi day spa and scheduled me for deep tissue massage (90min) 2 weeks ago. I had a great massage by DJ and when i left to pay $90 i was going to schedule another 90min massage and was told i could not use my balance $35 but they would allow me to have 20% discount on future appointments until i used up the balance. This has to be ILLEGAL and such poor business. I was going to come back w/my husband for couples massage for $180 but worry about their credibility since they have such poor business practice. read more

Wouldn't waste my time. After booking an appointment for full day at the spa for my sister, my mom and myself the spa cancelled due to weather. Now I understand cancelling due to snow, but I would think a business would give you more than 25 minutes notice, especially when I called earlier on in the week to see how they handle bad weather and re-confirmed with the spa when they confirmed our appointments the day before. When they said they would call me the night before or the morning of I was thinking I would have at least got an hour call ahead. NOPE. Not only was my birthday ruined but the owner (or the manager whom ever called) said they would make it up to me as I was driving in the snow to get there as their policy is that you must give 24hrs notice of cancelling or they charge you for the full service and as there were 3 of us getting multiple services I really didn't want to lose out on a big chunk of change. Well they said they would make it up to me and yet they never called me back after I said we would have to discuss it another time because I was driving in the snow to get there. I obviously wasn't a valued client as they never called me back and when I called multiple times I was told they would have to talk to the owner or the manager wasn't there, or they would leave a note for one of them to call me back tomorrow. Well no one ever did. It's HIGHLY unprofessional and bad business to cancel with such short notice and on top of that to never call a client back. Will be taking my business else where from now on. My husband bought me a gift certificate to Serenity for a massage but when I called to make an appointment I realized it had a different name which I didn't mention a certificate. But number, web site all the same. They called the day of my appt to say they looked in my file from the other spa and saw I had a gift certificate however they will not accept it. Which is crazy! How do you want to keep customers? This seems like a common issue and pretty soon they will go under too by word of mouth.
