She is extremely professional and knowledgeable about my skin condition, especially treating my aggressive acne and eczema. I've been a patient of Dr. Stevens for nearly 15 years and I wouldn't go to anyone else. She always listens to all of my concerns and answers all of my questions. She even notices rogue moles and deals with them instantly. She is so meticulous. And so very knowledgeable. In reading the other reviews, I do have to agree that at times the wait can be a bit longer than anticipated, but I honestly feel it's no different than seeing my GP doctor. (Now that I think about it...maybe it's all of my rogue moles that causes her to fall behind). Sorry people! I highly recommend Dr. Stevens. As an added bonus, her staff is so friendly and helpful. I called to make an appointment in May 2020 and the first one available was for July 10, 2020. I had no choice but to wait. On July 9, they called me to confirm the appointment. I thought "ok, this is professional" and was looking forward to the appointment. I get to the office at 1:50 and see that the building is very old and unkept and something tells me that this isn't going to be a pleasing atmosphere. The receptionist was on the phone and no other patient was there. He ignored me completely for 15 minutes! No "hello" or anything. Finally a female receptionist came to the window to ask "what did you need?" which I thought was strange but I answered back "I'm here for a 2pm appointment with Dr. Stevens." She looks at me and says "oh, well the Dr. isn't here. We called patients this morning." I told her that no one called me today, and I find it suspicious that they called me yesterday to confirm, but not today to let me know not to come in? She asked if I wanted to reschedule...Are you kidding me? How many reasons does one need to make an informed decision? No cordial greeting at window, no call to advise of situation, long appointment wait times, and shabby/old office. Nope. I won't be rescheduling. Seems like a big joke of an office. read more

Prepare to wait forever! Usual wait time with appointment is more than 2 hours if you're lucky! The doctor sees you for 5-10 minutes. After, they'll recommend products that they sell in the reception office that I believe is over priced! If you can find another dermatologist in the area, go there! The waiting room in this office is so small too. The group of Receptionist can get very loud on the phone too, you'll hear everything in the small waiting room. I came in today with my appointment scheduled at 1 pm; I arrived early at about 12:50 with one other customer/patient in the waiting room already. I was taken in shorty after I signed in but I sat in the waiting room waiting for the dr for almost an hour before I had to leave. This would not be such a concern for me but taking the fact there were 3 nurses on shift that I seen and there was only one other patient in the building, it was extremely terrible service. The front desk tells you when you schedule your appointment to expect to wait anywhere from 1-3 hours. I found the best dermatology office in the upland area!! It doesn't matter if you go there for a skin cancer, rash, acne or something cosmetic, my family and I have been there for everything. Let me tell you, Dr. Gloria Stevens and Dr. Ronald Liskanich know their stuff. My son is being seen for acne, he usually gets an acne facial once a month and his skin is looking terrific! My husband has had numerous skin cancers(all caught early) and is required to be checked every six months. As for me, it's cosmetic procedures. I have had a few things done in their office and have been VERY VERY HAPPY! Just recently I had Restylane done in my lips, they came out BEAUTIFUL!! They look so natural, I am so HAPPY WITH MY RESULTS. One of my girlfriends saw how great my lips looked and decided she was going to go to her dermatologist and have Restylane injected in her lips also. NEEDLESS TO SAY, they didn't quite look like mine and she ended up making an appointment WITH MY DERMATOLOGIST'S!! Her lips look FANTASTIC now and she will not go anywhere else for ANYTHING!! I had my first appointment to see Dr. Stevens early last week and contrary to some of the reviews below I had a very pleasant experience at this office from the very beginning. The receptionist was accommodating in getting my appointment scheduled for a future date that I felt was appropriate, honestly I would question the quality of any doctor if they regularly had next day appointments open. I was politely addressed as soon as I entered the office by the staff and waited for a maximum of 20 minutes before I got to see Dr. Stevens directly. Dr. Steven's bedside manner instantly reaffirmed with me why I scheduled my appointment with her rather than a different doctor. I felt very comfortable as she practiced great empathy in educating me on my condition and all possible remedies. I had a truly 5 star experience in my visit to Dr. Stevens and would highly recommend she and Dr. Liskanich to anyone seeking cosmetic dermatology in the future. read more

As a matter of fact, our insurance has changed and I am not covered for any services received at her office. I go to her because she is thorough and knowledgeable and I trust her explicitly. I was impressed with Dr. Ronald Liskanich for many reasons prior. Today he removed my husband's stitches in seconds. My husband thought he has not started yet. When he did the surgery 2 weeks ago, he took time. And also my husband had few warts near his eye. He voluntarily took those off; just few seconds. He is extremely skillful. She has helped me with my skin conditions as well as my sisters. In fact, one time my sister had an appointment, but I had a skin flare up. In fact, she is not even covered by my insurance but I do not mind at all paying cash for her service. She throughly checks every mole (and I have tons) and removes not only the dangerous ones but the ugly ones that help my skin to stay young and fresh looking. She educates me on every visit and understands that us women want to keep looking our best, especially as we start to age. Dr. Gloria Stevens has been my dermatologist in excess of 23 years....and saved my life. At times, waiting for her examination has been long (much improved in recent years). The reason for the wait, I discovered, is that Dr. Stevens is VERY THOROUGH and, when needed, will spend extra time to examine thoroughly and completely. As a result of her thoroughness, a small spot, which could have been easily overlooked, did not look good to her. Sent to the lab, melanoma was discovered. Shame on the Drs and office staff for running this business as they do. Over scheduling, making patients wait for hours for their "scheduled" appointments, and lying to their patients-telling them you that the reason the dr is late is because she's spending extra time helping the previously scheduled patient with a newly discovered condition, like skin cancer! I find it hard to believe that every single patient has a surprise condition that needs immediate treatment, causing 2-3 hour long waits past your scheduled appointments. Shame on us as patients for allowing this business to treat us this way. I will never go back, and don't care if this dr is viewed as the best and worth the wait-as I overheard a women who said that she comes prepared to wait with a good book. This business will continue to treat their patients with disrespect as long as we allow it. We are sending them the message that we're ok with paying them to treat us like this. Finally, after waiting for 2.5 hours I asked the staff how much longer, they said 2 more patients ahead of me, but they could get me in to see another dr right away. WTH!!!??? Never again. Just wanted to post an update. One of the staff members, I can't recall, but probably a manager called to follow up. She wanted to explain why things were so backed up and wanted to see if there was anything she could do to get me to reconsider and come back in. Apparently there was an incident out back that caused them to call the cops. I did see two patrol cars outside of their office, so I can believe that it actually happened. It could be that this did exacerbate their wait line, but seriously, I don't think any more than what others have described. I let her know that their reputation for overbooking is pretty well known on the internet and that's what spurred me to leave while I was in the exam room. She said she had no idea or knowledge of their rep on the internet and so I encouraged her to read on Yelp and just search the company and read away. Anyway, I take my imaginary 0 and raise it to a true 1. I really appreciate when a business tries to make things right, but I think this place has a long way to go. I totally forgot to mention how cheesy I thought it was for them to make their nurses pitch/co-market the brother's cosmetic dental practice and the spa. My goodness, I hope they get a cut for being forced to do that. Why don't the doctors own that role instead??? read more

The wait is insane here. It is not worth it just as rest of reviews say. Hate to leave a bad review based on that but people need to know a lot of their time will be wasted waiting in a room. Not just the waiting room but back in the appointment rooms as well before even being seen. Very unorganized practice. It is supposed to be professional and there isn't much professional about it. Everyone seems busy, frustrated, hectic and just beside themselves here. I can see why. Over booked and out of order. Plan for a few hours if you come to any of these Drs. Dr. Liskanich lacks empathy and professionalism. My experience was several years ago (before the benefits of yelp could steer me in another direction), Dr. Liskanich performed laser hair removal on my lower legs. I had been complaining of the pain the laser was causing me and instead of taking the time to stop and view the condition of my leg, he just snapped at me and basically told me to keep still. When he was finally frustrated w/ my inability to stay still b/c of pain, he stopped and as he was about to tell me something when he realized that he had burned my right lower leg. My leg was covered in blisters, I was crying not only b/c of the pain but also b/c of the severity of the blistering all along my leg. This was several years ago and the scarring on my leg due to the burn has never gone away. At the time of the incident I was 13 years old and my parents optioned to allow me to have laser hair removal done b/c of a severe issue w/ ingrown hairs on my legs. I am now 27 and the scarring has never gone away. After the doctor reviewed my leg, he did not offer an apology or any reassurance about the situation. Instead, he called his wife in to review my leg and prescribe a burn cream along w/ a topical anestic (which was to be used an hour before my next treatment). Although, I can understand that my situation may not be common, the lack of empathy the doctor showed was unbelievable. read more

The staff is super friendly, and really make sure you are super comfortable. Dr. Liskanich is a miracle worker! I saw immediate results of my acne after just 2 weeks of being treated by him and even more results after 1 month. He gave a skin care routine that truly works! I have had severe acne and acne scars since I was 12 and after just one month they were almost gone! I have done the laser scar treatment once and I saw major results! I had been a patient for years, but saw increasing emphasis on cosmetic rather than medically necessary procedures. Posters on skin cancer were replaced with dysport, botox and cool laser. My annual skin check was completed in about 5 minutes, Dr Liskanich made sure to hawk a cosmetic procedure. He told me what a huge difference a cool laser would make on my face. He claimed all those nasty lines and wrinkles would be gone, and if they weren't he'd do a quick redo on any problem areas. I scheduled a year later, only to see a price increase of $500 for the procedure. 3000 bucks later, the lines and wrinkles were still present, though my face was more even and sun damage gone. I asked for the redo, but the new price was 2 grand. I took my prescription for Retin A and never looked back. See a plastic surgeon and forget this couple who obviously need to pay for their kid's medical school bills. read more

I have discovered that there are dentists and doctors that respect the time of their patients - this office does not. I have a business to run and believe it or not there are other companies that do the same thing we do so if the client finds us disrespectful of their time they will go elsewhere. Do you suppose that our clients would have waited 90 minutes in the lobby because we have other clients ahead of them. I don't care how good these doctors are - if they don't show up for the meeting how good they are doesn't matter! As patients we are clients to our doctors and dentist. i have a silver PPO with very good benefits and I HAVE A CHOICE. We need to let our health care providers know that we have lives outside of their waiting rooms. I did not pay attention to the previous reviews like mine and wasted 2 hours of time between traveling and waiting. I will never go back to this office. Do not I repeat do not take your children here! Do yourself a favor and take your child to someone that specializes in children. What a nightmare! I was referred by my daughters PCP for molluscum besides the fact that they make you wait long periods of time Dr Stevens in my experience is not very knowledgeable when it comes to children, and the treatment practices are old school and down right torture do yourself a favor like I did after coming for treatment a second time and being accused of child neglect go to a pediatric dermatologist where they actually care for your child and take the time to make sure they are comfortable not just scrape the skin off of their face to get you out the door. Worst experience with a Dr ever and I would never ever return. If your child has molluscum do yourself a favor and make the drive to Pediatric Dermatology of OC in Irvine they are top notch when it comes to treating children. read more

I was given a second opinion to Dr. Gloria Stevens and although I have Blue Shield of California was refused by her practice. I have an HMO and was cleared by them to see this doctor and they won't take a new patient that isn't from their local area. I just don't understand why that would be. The receptionist was matter of fact and this issue was quite black and white for her. I wonder if the doctor understands how devastating this was for me since I don't trust my local dermatologist for treatment. Disappointed in the extreme wait time for appointments. Every time I come here I've got to wait 2 hours, and what's worse is they don't even bother to tell you that they're hours behind. Wow unbelievable, I called to see if I could just come in and get some more Retin A that Dr Stevens sold to me during a visit while getting skin tags removed. I think I paid $160 or $180 and now since its been 2 years and no longer have insurance. They want me to pay for a Dr visit that's going to take 1 min for her to look at my skin and say ok now that I ripped you off on this visit pay the money for the retin A and they say its the law. If I have to be seen, ok be that as it may but put the cost of the visit towards my medication so you can follow the law and your customers/ patience don't feel like they are be swindled and taking advantage of people who can't afford health insurance. I referred my aunt to Dr Stevens to have some skin tags removed and due to not having insurance she put what ever the cost my aunt paid for the visit towards the cost of all the skin tags she removed. Dr. Gloria Stevens, now Liskanich and Stevens I believe, are much more than a hair removal office as Yelp has listed them. Dr. Stevens started here in 1989 and I became a patient soon after. They do everything to take care of your skin and I love her and her staff. We have all had to wait at Dr's offices and do you know why? Because they're great Dr's and in demand because they take the time to help you when you have issues that need immediate attention. How would you like it if she had just diagnosed you with melanoma and then said, "Oops, gotta go, your time is up", we'll address this on your next visit".? A schedule is a delicate thing, we all should know that by now. I have had nothing but the best treatment there.
