I never leave empty-handed and the majority (if not all) of my recent clothes purchases are from here. The items show little to no signs of wear or even still have the tags. Plus, the prices are beyond reasonable for what you end up with! The owner, Malina, is kind, fair, knowledgeable in fashion (& much more), and is so fun to be around while shopping! Read that they had added some vendors but still found it lacking . Vendors are not all open the same days and times so it is pretty hit and miss. Even some of the food trucks I liked last time were not there anymore. Unless they make big changes this was my last stop. There is no draw pulling me there. There are places elsewhere worth my time.

A night in Kaka'ako is always a fun place to explore, and just be entertained!…read more The Honolulu Night Market at Our Kaka'ako is indeed a fabulous adventure into the biggest street/block party filled to the brim with all things local...food, retail and culture. I've been to so many and each and every one is very unique where you can find either fashion runway stage, live street art, or even a dance night in the barn. I just love the vibe SALT and surrounding Our Kaka'ako brings with the vibrant art we're so blessed to have and this particular night (November 19th) there was actually much more shopping just perfect for the holidays and the party went further down to Ya-ya's. Tonight I was fortunate to have gone after work so I kept it short but found some awesome treats. Some straw toppers to add to my holiday gift giving and some cheesecake cups (OG, Strawberry and Cookie Butter) of course I got one of each to share...ate the Strawberry which of course omg was yummy!! Not too sweet as the Strawberries was just perfect as I tried to get an even scoop of it all in every bite. Walked further down and honestly wasn't in the mood to wait too long for anything found something that would just exactly work for me. Ya-Ya's Chophouse & Seafood and tonight they had two items - Steak Kebabs - Fat Fried Rice with TAB (aka Thick Ass Bacon lol!) I seriously wanted the fried rice but thought that the Steak Kebabs was more sensible for me personally and it came with two kebabs each fully loaded with steak, mushrooms, peppers and onions with a huge scoop of rice! So many options I really was considering including Henna from Henna Happens, Birria Tacos from Dolce Vita, Corn from Corn Onoz Hawaii but though there's always a next time yes!?! I remember pre-pandemic Yelp had a booth here and hoping as things return to normalcy that we'll see it back again one day (hint hint!) Absolutely love this Honolulu Night Market as it offers so many cultural coolness that you can't find anywhere else! Thank you!

Things do happen for a reason and before covid we would never see pop up events like these unless it's close to the holidays and the pressure builds to find, purchase or know what items items you'd want and may rarely see most part of the year. Thank you to Island Craft Fairs and Events they now have a calendar for 2024 not just here on Oahu but on Maui and Kauai as well. This Island Crafters Market that's held every 2nd and 4th Sundays at Ala Moana Center Mall level right outside Target which for the most part is a shaded area but is home to several local small biz with various merchandise from Pokemon cards, jewelry, mochi and even accessories for your pets. I did find a crafter friend that I'm so delighted to have found to a part of this event and did find a few items that are so adorable items like these just are so unique and special...thank you Shining Soul Jewelry! Costco was there as well and since I'm a member got to spin the wheel and win a lunch bag which was a nice treat to be a member is always a great deal, though with the upcoming Lunar new year there were a lot of items to help celebrate this upcoming special occasion with cute decor, keychain and money envelopes. The holidays are over but the need to find the unique items for any occasions...totes low as $3 are always in need and to have these craft fairs on a scheduled basis is a great support to our local small businesses and to easily reach out to folks looking for that something that's not easily found in one location. This Made with Aloha Gift Fair is at Pearlridge Center Mauka Wing every third Saturday and Sundays right in the middle of it all and the vendors may vary at moments though follow @islandcraftfairs as they will list the participating shops and what they have to offer...it sure got me down here to see what Chinese New Year items they have from Unik Gifts and Things and no they don't have instagram but though wonderful events like this reached out to many folks flocking over to shop and with my purchase he gave me a free frog charm for good luck as he says "you can't buy luck" very true and a generous gesture which was truly valuable and this made me smile. Thank you!
