Horrible experience Glosage Engineering was contracted by the local sewer district to replace the main sewer line (not the lateral), trenchless. There is a utility easement along the property line, so no problem giving them access. They gave us a description of what they are going to do, and that seemed fine. However, reality looked much different. First they placed the line further into our property than planned. Then they excavated a huge hole, digging plants out and cutting irrigation lines. Next they decided to actually pull the new line across our entire property, damaging more plants and ripping out sprinkler heads and rocks embedded in the slope to prevent soil erosion. I pointed all these things out to Glosage's foreman and they promised to take care of it. Nope. They filled the hole, haphazardly put the tree back in the ground (not even streight) and just took off. I called them and the sewer district, nothing ever came out of it. The sewer district admitted that they had issues with that contractor and many complaints. I ended up spending a couple of hours and some spare parts from Home Depot to put things back in order. So my gentle advice: Be very careful with these guys! read more

Hands down one of the best 'plumbing' experiences I've ever had. Luis and his crew could not have been more polite, professional and efficient. They did what they said they would do and overcame any obstacle that arose without any complaint. The quote was 100% accurate, even though they incurred more cost than they originally thought. If I could give zero stars I would. PLEASE BEWARE!!!!!!!! My clients purchased a house where Glosage did the bid for the sewer later bid. Well, he did a bid alright... for the wrong house. Glosage actual bid for my client's house ended up being twice the amount of his original bid. He admitted he made the mistake but was not willing to work with my clients on his bid.... So not only did he not care that he made a mistake but he still insisted on making a profit. Someone said he is a man of his word. He is not a man of his word he is only out for himself and runs a shady business. This is a very late review . Glosage Engineering did an excellent job ! Luis and his team was very professional and fixed our sewer lateral drain with no problems. Their price was excellent, compared to others in Marin County . Luis was very communicative and explained everything, step-by-step! They had to dig all the way out to the street, He coordinated all his men, also directed traffic. They were very careful not to destroy our plants in the garden. Luis and his crew did a great job at a great price. He knows his stuff and takes pride in his work. I recommend him to everyone. When I needed my sewer lateral line updated I got bids from a few places on Yelp with 5 star reviews. Just when I was ready to sign with one of them, a neighbor sent Luis to my house to ask if he could bid. I wasn't sure since I hadn't seen him on Yelpl. But he explained that he's been doing this work since 1999 and started his own company in 2016. Plus he's bonded, insured and licensed, so I let him bid. The other companies' bids had a clause that if they ran into problems the price might go up. But Luis said the job seemed straight forward and even if problems came up the price wouldn't change. So I hired him and I'm really glad I did. Here are some reasons why: 1) He kept me informed all week about the status of getting permits and utility companies coming out to mark off utility lines. 2) On the morning of the job he walked me around the work spots and explained all the steps of the project. Luis stayed on site and worked with his crew. 3) He took extra care to find where my sewer line crossed the water-main in the street and went very slowly and carefully so as not to damage it. When a neighbor had his line done a few years ago the contractor wasn't careful and broke the water-main, flooding the street and causing the block to be out of water half a day. 4) Luis encouraged me to inspect the work at every step. He and his crew really take pride in their work. They put my yard and the street back like they were before the work. Perfect. 5) Luis was always smiling and wonderful to work with and everyone on his crew were nice. It was a great experience. You can't help but want to give these guys 5 stars. read more

I literally met with like 5 different contractors and all their quotes were way above my budget. I ran into Luis & Glosage Engineering by pure faith in my opinion. After meeting with him and going over his proposal, which was very competitive among 3 other big companies, we decided to close the deal and start working right away. Luis and his crew repaired the sewer lateral and installed drainage for my newly purchased home to bring it into compliance. I have nothing but good things to say about him and his crew, and the experience overall. Before doing the sewer work, Luis came over to the house and took the time to explain the entire process to me and showed me where and how the work would be performed. From start to finish he maintained great communication with me and was always polite, cheerful, and a pleasure to interact with. His crew were very professional - they were respectful of the neighbor's property and made sure to clean up after themselves and put everything back as if they were never there. While doing the repair, Luis and his crew discovered additional connections to the sewer lateral that weren't considered in the original bid, but Luis honored his original price. Then it was discovered that one of the downspouts from my roof was illegally draining into the sewer lateral requiring additional work to pass inspection. Luis explained several options to me, including the need to abandon a portion of the sewer and reroute the drainage from the downspout to avoid water pooling around my house.
