Came here for pedicures -- they weren't bad at all for the price. I actually enjoyed them, came multiple times. So I decided to get an acrylic set -- the first time I got a fill. They didn't do too bad I actually liked the set! However when I came back to have the set removed and a new one put on, the woman who did my nails literally ripped off the acrylic set with a tip of an acrylic nail. I had to kindly ask her to stop and start drilling them off as she ripped off a huge chunk of my pinky nail - literally left such a big gap that now nearly three weeks later my pinky nail fell off. Truly, I'm not one to bash or write a post for the hell of it. I don't trust their practices after this & will not be returning. read more

This has been one of the only nail salons I have been a frequent repeat customer to. Nina is who I request to see and she always does an amazing job with my manicures and pedicures. She takes her time and is meticulous in her details - I always leave extremely satisfied with her work. The salon is clean, they have a large selection of colors to chose from, and prices are on par with other nail salons in the area. My first visit to this salon this evening, and Chi has managed to give me the most precise, beautiful, clean, and well applied manicure of my entire life. I'm not exaggerating... every single edge is perfect, my cuticles were trimmed clean and smooth all around. The application of each layer of gel polish was extremely thin and consistent in the pigmentation leaving the color nice and opaque yet not thick at all. I came here on the suggestion of a coworker and friend whose nails I admired. She suggested him by name and I'm so glad I took her suggestion. I've never had a more perfect manicure in my life. I'm a waitress and with all the physical work and hand washing my hands really get a lot of abuse, and I have no doubt this will hold up for me. Technical perfection in every aspect. Update: almost 2 weeks later sill looking mostly perfect. I work as a waitress and these nails have held up to me adjusting table legs, washing dishes without gloves on, and generally being extremely clumsy. Second photo to show grow-out. Both times I went, I left so annoyed. They messed my paint up so bad with lumps that were very visible and when I brought it to their attention, they acted as if I painted and messed them up myself. I literally had tears in my eyes. Nancy fixed them and did an amazing job. I went back because I broke a nail moving boxes and they were very rude. I asked how long would the wait be and all the lady kept saying is "a long time." Now I go to TY Nails & spa. Very friendly and did an awesome job. I treat myself to a mani-pedi about 1-3 times per year. Not a lot. This is my 3rd visit to the Nail Spa. My 2nd visit was amazing and my nails (i got a dip) were so smooth and even. They lasted 4 1/2 weeks and had to be removed by the pros. Today's visit was a pre-book with the woman who did my nails last time. I walked in and let them know I had an appt. (i made the mistake of trying a walk-in last time, but they got me in later that day). It wasn't overly busy. quiet with this flooding rain outside. I sat in the chair and waited for my nail tech- but it was a different person. I got the spa pedicure to save about $5-$10 - i found that no one is great and massaging my feet or legs. No point in jazzing it up for the same polish job. Then i was kindly transferred to the nail table. The next tech (not the one who just finished my toes) was super sweet but was distracted with phone and my nails ended up a bit uneven, not what I was expecting for $35. I have a bunch of glue under my nails and some jagged sides. The color is gorgeous and thankfully I wrote down the number last time so i could have it again. $60 after tip. I'd be hesitant to come back unless i could book with the same person i had expected to see today. My feet and hands are more tender/sore than when i left last time. I felt like the tech was on autopilot and she told me she didn't feel well. read more

My friend and I ventured here one Saturday after coffee and surprisingly received the best pedis if our lives. The atmosphere was nice...cozy lighting and big new comfy massage chairs. We both got spa pedicures for $25 and they spent nearly an hour on us. The leg massage was divine, they dipped us in paraffin and gave us three coats of polish. This place rocks. We will be back. I don't have a point of comparison as this is the first time I have ever had a pedi done (apparently I got a hot stone pedi as a Valentines gift from my wife). I got there somewhat late and they were still kind enough to accommodate me. The lady that took care of me was suuuuper friendly and she recognized me (apparently my wife has shown her pictures of the two of us). If I was into this kind of things, I would not hesitate to go back. The place seems clean and the chairs were comfortable (but I guess you can get that anywhere). I went in for a pedicure and dip. Pedicure was mediocre but he did massage my feet longer then usual which was nice. Wish I could say the same about my nails. I have grown out my nails for months now and have been using the dip to help. I went in with my natural nails being long and the length I wanted for some time now. Sean (spelling might be off) BUTCHERED my natural nails. He began to file and shape them to all different angles. He proceeded to do the dip and once he finished they looked AWFUL! All different lengths and shapes! Some of the sides on my nails were missing the dip part. The nails I spent months growing were completely ruined! A couple ladies came over and said the only thing they could do to help was to soak them off and add fake tips because they would have to cut my nails all the way down in order for them to grow again and be able to be shaped again. I was furious!! I came in with intentions of only getting a dip on my own natural nail. I ended up leaving with my natural nails completely cut down and having fake nails put on!! On top of that they still charged me full price!! Highly don't recommend this place!! After spending 3.5 hours there I noticed the rude behavior of the ladies sitting by the front desk. Customers would walk in and they would be super hesitant to even great the guest and would just yell from their chair to "go pick a color". Zero enthusiasm to greet the guest with any type of eagerness or excitement. read more

The Nail & Spa might sound like a funny name, but there is nothing funny about the quality, service, and value of the services provided within. I've been getting bimontly lunchtime pedis with some office pals for the past few months and my feet have never looked better. We always get the $30 Hot Stone Pedicure...it's a most blissful lunch break. There are nail spas in the city with more bells and whistles, maybe a wall fountain for some splash, but none with the care and attention you will receive at The Nail & Spa. read more

If I could give this place a zero, I would. I came because of all the great reviews on Yelp, so I feel obligated to write about my experience. I had 45 minutes before I had to catch a flight, so I decided to pamper myself and get a manicure. My daughter's communion is this weekend, and I wanted to look nice. The man who gave me the massage was a very nice Vietnamese man. I paid and gave him a tip before he finished; he encouraged me so that I wouldn't have to dig in my purse and mess up my nails. He put my hands under a light to dry my nails and said they would be dry in 5 minutes. They were still wet, so I stayed. I was pushing it on time I needed to get to the airport, so I left. When I got into the sunlight, I really saw my nails (it's dim in the shop). I was so disappointed because they didn't look good. I knew I was pushing it on time, but also didn't think I should have to pay for a bad job. I went in and explained very quietly that I wasn't happy with my nails. I didn't want to embarrass the man who did them, and I also didn't want to make a scene in front of the other customers. They offered to re-do my nails. I told them that I, unfortunately, needed to leave for the airport. I suggested they just give my half of my money back (certainly not an unreasonable request for such a bad job). She told me he did a full manicure, and that they couldn't give me my money back. I explained that it was a bad job though. They, again, said they could re-do my nails. I told them I was already running late. Then, the one employee said "So you are just going to sit here and argue with us? We could've re-done them by now." Really? How rude and inappropriate for a businesswoman to say something like that. It would've taken at least 20-25 to fix them, and they were all already busy with customers. I asjed if the money was more important than good customer service. They were nasty to me again. I explained that I would just leave a negative review instead. They didn't care. Save your money, and do not frequent this business who truly doesn't care about their customers or the service they provide. Sad. read more

Well I wanted to love this place because it's convenient. I wanted an acrylic overlay on my real nails and gel polish. One guy did my pedicure while the other worked on my nails which was awkward and not very relaxing! I think the pedicure would have been great if I could've relaxed. The guy cut my nails pretty short, but I thought oh well they'll grow. Then he proceeds to put tips on, and I said I didn't want tips I wanted an overlay, so another man came and started trying to pry the tips off, finally I called uncle and said "please that hurts, let's just leave them on and cut them short to match the rest." He did that and then gave me my gel manicure, and at the end my nails were murky and not shiny! Turns out he left out a step and another lady came and fixed them. So now I'm leaving with short, nubby nails. It did take 30 minutes less than it normally does and the price was right, but sadly I won't be back. You can't rush on good quality!! read more
