First time here! I didn't book in advance, but I was immediately seen. The room was large, with a lot of pedicure and manicure stations. I asked for a gel pedicure. The basic pedicure "The Buff" included: "nail trim and shape, cleansing and cuticle care. Indulge in a hot stone massage with lotion and warm towel service. Top it all off with lacquer in the color of your choice." (According to their website). This level pedicure cost $34. I was surprised at the end of my service to see that my tab was $55. $21 for gel polish was the highest I've ever seem. I probably wouldn't go back for that price, honestly. $10 for gel seems more reasonable to me. All that said, my nail tech was wonderful and I loved the pedicure & color I chose on my toes. read more

I had a few coworkers recommend this place to me and it did not disappoint! Me and my Mom walked in around 11 on a Saturday for two pedicures. Within 10 minutes we were sat down and getting started. Our basic pedicures took around 30 minutes and cost $95 total. I got Kenny and my Mom got Luu, both of us were very happy with the service! Kenny made some great friendly conversation and my Mom said Luu was very gentle and did a great job. The place is super nicely decorated, very clean and modern. I tired Gloss for the first time yesterday. The long luxurious pedicure was so worth the relaxation and I was happy with the final finish on toes. The place was relatively quiet for a Saturday morning (noise level) and the service i received came with a take away lotion pack which is a great touch. I received a gel manicure in a cute color. All my services were done by "Ken" and she was attentive, kind, and seemed to pick up on my enjoying the quiet moment. Not sure if I have completely dumped my old salon but I will be back. The prices are higher here but I am willing to pay for the additional quality of service. read more

i had a very poor experience at this salon. i waited much longer than i should have, and when i was finally seen, the service felt rushed and unfinished. what's most frustrating is that i was still charged full price for what felt like half of a job. the quality did not match the cost at all. i did not feel valued as a customer, and the overall experience was disappointing. i won't be returning and would not recommend this salon to others. read more

The nail technician that was working on me did such an awful job. I had to ask her multiple times that i wanted a shorter length, she absolutely destroyed my natural nails and cut them down to nubs. She cut me with the nail drill multiple times, the acrylic job is a mess, she used improper tip sizing for my nails and the shape is overfilled and upward pointing which is not only incredibly uncomfortable but also very ugly. My fingers hurt and feel awkward, I don't think i've ever paid so much money for a set of acrylics and have them be so poor quality. I typically do my own nails myself and needed these in a pinch. I'm not sure if she was new or in a rush, But I am quite disappointed. read more

DRAAAKEE!!! I enjoy coming to Gloss. It's located in the busy Town Center, but once there, the salon is rarely super crowded. I typically don't have any issues getting an appointment. The inside is beautiful and always clean. Some techs are hit or miss, but they have solid techs here, too. No complaints about the service. My tech is Drake and I honestly can't say enough good things about him. I've been other places, but I always end up back in his chair! Honestly as long as he's doing nails and I'm in Jax, he's my guy! He's super talented, meticulous with a great eye, and stays up-to-date on designs and techniques. He's even memorized how I like my nails shaped and the length I prefer. He never gives me a hard time about choosing my color or adjusting anything if I ask. His patience and customer service are as good as his work, and my hands look flawless every time I leave! I recommend Gloss and I especially recommend trying to get in with Drake if you have a chance. You won't be disappointed! read more

I'm so surprised by the negative reviews of this nail salon. It's very clean and I can always call ahead for an appointment (usually day before) with Jackie, who's been my awesome nail tech for about 2 years now. I go in with a picture of what I'd like recreated and Jackie always does a great job accommodating my requests. When she does my nails, a gel manicure typically lasts about 3 weeks! As far as the pricing goes, I find it to be very transparent- everything is listed specifically on their website, including extra costs for polish change, nail art design/shaping/repair/etc and when choosing your color up front, the color swatches indicate which ones cost extra (like chrome is an additional $15). I'm also cost-conscious, so I usually remove my polish at home and go in with bare nails to save the money (and time) of gel removal. read more

Second time going here for gel manicure both horrible experience. Got 2 infections from her using dirty tools and digging into my cuticles. One finger bled and she just painted over while my finger continued bleeding. I get manicures monthly and never have this issue any where else. Unsanitary, and poor technique. Sooooo expensive. I got a fill for $66... Guy was super sweet, but that was way too much for a FILL. Plus my pointer finger doesn't match any of the others and the ends are white (instead of painting them to match the nail color I got). If they were better or faster maybe the price would be reasonable, but it wasn't. read more

Let me start off by saying this place has amazing workers and the art perfect, thank you jolly. I first came to this place for a cruise set i wanted the acrylic hibiscus flower my artist Suzel i believe her name was, said towards the end after setting and painting the base she couldn't create that flower, which i found irritating because i showed the picture at the beginning and she said okay.... I had a whole simpler french i could have chosen instead, but lol okay thanks for the heads up. I realized as she was drilling and shaving down my nail, that she did it to thin!!! I came back and had a refill due to the condition and look of the nails, the refill came out amazing! Love the design. I eventually hit one nail at work and its rose my real nail with it, i have left it on to let it heal, i eventually was able to take some of the remaining nails off and you can see my nails are verrryyyyyyy thin, they are damaged!!! The one nail where it broke my real nail came off today and the way it looks made me want to say something about this! This is very unprofessional for the lady who did my nails, Suzel. If you couldn't do a design say it from the start, and don't file people nails so thin! Im very unhappy with how my nails are now and regret coming here, regards all my friends cute sets from here. The new renovations look great! As soon as we were seated they walked away. The water was ice cold. So the lady cranked up the hot water and walked away again. ( yep, it got too hot). Customer service?????? As with any place, they started on my pedicure. Good job! I have been coming here for 5 years, since moving to Jax. It's half hour out of my way but I have always been treated better than places close to my house. After today though, I think I'll start looking for a new place to go. One of the best pedicures I've had at this place was with Kevin! My new favorite pedicure man to go to! He made sure the water temperature was what I wanted, and let's talk about how gentle his hands are, weird i know but when he moved my legs in and out of the water he wasn't rough about it he just slightly tapped and after having many pedicures in my life, I REALLY enjoyed that. Gloss nail lounge is great! The service was good, they greeted me as soon as I walked through the door. And I went there to get an acrylic fill in and it was good but could've been great. I had red French before my new set, and half of the red was still on my nails. The nails were a bit chunky at first so asked her to file them down and they got a lot better. And I had the nail tech Wendy and she did such a wonderful job with my design. The atmosphere of the place is good, clean and very neat and has a very modern look. This place is pretty great.
