My new go-to in Jax! My basic pedicure ($30) was done very thoroughly (not just a quick scrub and polish like some in a hurry) and I can't wait to come back and try the upgraded versions now. Lots and lots of polish colors for both regular and gel. Kids specials for your little one, which I thought was precious. The place is clean and sanitary, so I felt extremely comfortable here. I first started with a female nail tech, she's talented but still improving. She was polite and professional but there was an issue with the work done. The owner saw the problem without my complaint and deeply discounted what I was suppose to pay based on the work. I appreciated that so much and planned to get my full set done by the man himself. PL has taken over this shop and when my mom and I got there it was a peaceful environment, it wasn't crowded, it doesn't have the strong chemical smell and the staff were very friendly! We came into town to pickup something in Jacksonville and decided while we were waiting to get dinner why not get our nails done. Glad we did they have an awesome staff, very friendly and took there time on both our pedicures and wife's manicure. We got this bamboo package and there was this really cool gel fusion thing they used in the water that was nice smelling and really relaxing. They have been under new management for 5 months now and seem to being a great job in turning it around. Also it didn't smell like some of the nail salons w all the chemical smells. I went to get nails done for a very important wedding. I was shown no prices given no estimate at all upon arrival or showing my inspiration picture(included). I was given no type of manicure treatment (cuticle clip, nail cut) and after my tips were put on and cut and filed on only one hand i was sent to someone else. I tried to show the next person my picture which i could tell she did not care about. The application was not proper what's so ever no regard for the apex of my mail or the consistency of the acrylic. I told her multiple times I did not like the shape, the pictures included are from AFTER i shaped them in the car. They were crooked and not straight what so ever. The french tip technique was sloppy and crooked. My nails look chubby short and ugly. This is the worst my nails have ever looked. I was visibly displeased and to leave she tells me it's $60. I have paid $100's of dollars on my nails so this was not alot to spend. But for the length, quality, and everything else these nails were not nearly worth $60 at all. Sadly the person I wanted to go to was unavailable so I had to settle for a chop shop. This was a waste of hard earned money. After I filed them in the car the first lady gladly painted the edges black, I would of gone somewhere else and removed them but I had to be at the airport shortly after.
