I've been going to this salon (Nashua location) since it opened, but my experience yesterday was really disappointing. I came in for a Gel-X removal and gel manicure. My nail tech (Dara or Dana) immediately questioned my color choice when I said I wanted black, saying "BLACK? WHY?" in a way that felt rude and judgmental. I explained I liked it, but she continued making comments. During the service, one of my nails had already broken off at home, so I asked her to make all my nails the same short length for consistency. Instead, she seemed confused, laughed, and initially kept the other nails long until I repeated myself. While doing my cuticles, she cut my skin and caused bleeding, then applied alcohol directly on it, which was very painful. When she was painting, she missed part of the side of my pinky nail. When I pointed it out and asked her to fix it, she said she avoids the sides with black polish to prevent messiness. She then painted onto my skin to demonstrate and wiped it off, which didn't address the issue. After leaving, I noticed the polish was streaky, uneven, and messy overall. This was not the level of service I expected, especially as a returning customer. Completely regretting paying for this service and plan on never returning. There are much better nail salons in the area. read more

The best pedicure I've ever had!! I get ingrown toe nails a lot so it's tough for me to find a place that's gentle with them ! Denny is incredible!! She has a way of digging out my ingrown toe nails and I don't feel a thing!! Plus the way she massages my feet and legs is pure perfection!!! I would drive 2 hours to come here!!! read more

I tried this nail salon after it was another owner. The receptionist was very nice, however I unfortunately didn't have a good experience. I got a manicure gel and pedicure. The pedicure she kept digging in my cuticle so hard I had to ask her to stop. She seemed annoyed and kept trying to dig/cut way too much. Then she completely missed painting one of my toenails, so I had to go back the next day. My manicure she was way too aggressive. I've never had my fingers/nails so sore. She actually cut my finger which bled and now all my fingers are raw and hurt. I kept asking her not to cut so much, but she just told me to "stop watching her and watch TV". I paid alot of money only to be sore and have to return due to she didn't even do the whole job. Way overpriced for what I got.. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed my full set and pedi today. Linda was phenomenal and thorough and made sure I was happy. Shop is clean, although the nail salon smell is STRONG when you first walk in. I took off a star since they didn't clean under my nails after polishing and top coat nor did they have lotion or oil for my hands when done drying. Still would give a 4.5 if I could;, I love my nails and will be back. *****Update**** Came back for a pedi and fill-in; there is still no lotion or or cleanup after finishing your nails. Aside from this, I don't know if I can come to this nail salon anymore. I was jokingly called fat by someone doing my nails (when I mentioned how fast he was doing my nails) and then another person doing my feet asked if I exercise, tapped my calves, then gestured to how thick my legs are. This salon has definitely won me over! Rosie was the sweetest woman ever and did an incredible job. I had a 6:15 P.M. appointment and it ended up going past 7:00 P.M. when they closed. Absolute trash. The woman was rude she nicked my skin doing a pedicure, she cut my nails so short they look like baby nails and her paint job was so sloppy that the paint didn't go to the edge of the nails on some nails and went on to the skin of other nails. She filed my fingernails crooked and put on so many layers of color that even after an hour they still weren't dry and ended up scuffing. I am so beyond disappointed in Galaxy Nails. My mom and I were regular customers and loved the salon. However our last few visits the service has gone down quickly. My last pedicure was basically a quick rinse and my heels felt like they hadn't been touched. It only took 3 days for my moms first nail to break (acrylic with gel) and by the end of the week every nail had broken or completely popped off. I never break nails and I broke 2. We spend too much money to have that many problems. We will not be back. read more

I went in asking for dip she took my nails off with a fake nail, broke 2 nails & then put 2 fake nails on them. The location is convenient and they took me right away without an appointment. That said, the salon was a dirty, the nail polish bottles were kinda nasty, and the manicure was terrible. Usually, I can get at least a week or two out if a regular manicure. This one didn't look that great to begin with and started chipping off within 48 hours. I ALWAYS go to galaxy nails they always have the best customer service and my nail tech Henry is just great always friendly and always knows what I want before I do, every set comes out perfect and I never have chips I finally tried the dip nails and I have to say they came out better than I ever wanted I've thrown complete curveballs at these techs and they always end up looking fantastic highly recommend for anyone trying to get nails especially from henry! read more

I was greeted by Hoang who soaked my old acrylic set off then Kim did my nails. They were both so nice and my nails came out great. I only wish they had some solid glitter gel polishes and nail art samples or someone that could do more intricate designs because I'm used to getting crazy nail art! Lol! Since moving to NH I have been coming to Galaxy, today was my last time. I went in for a dip mani and regular pedicure. The woman that did my feet was completely rude and mocking my feet (into which I am already insecure about) and the water was freezing cold. At that point I didn't even want my nails done, but they already wrapped them. Dip manicure was rushed, looks awful and my nails still have cotton on them that I was picking out on the way home. read more

I have gone here 4 times each time with a different tech and out of those 4 times only once can I say my nails came out decent. This past time I went this week the first half of the time I was in the chair she was on the phone, the rest she rushed through did not use the right top coat for the gel so within 4 hours my gelnail polish chipped, went back to have her redo it and she tried to say it was my fault. Then the following day another nail did the same and all i did was wipe down a table with wipes. She completely missed the sides of almost all the nails, I asked for round and she did half round half almond so non of my nails even match and that was after arguing with her about wanting them round! i've been here 3 times and had a different nail techs each time, unfortunately my gel polish would chip the same day or next day after having it done! they aren't very friendly, they barley touched my cuticles and there was no hand massage. $28 is too expensive for the experience/results i also wanted to try the dip so i asked the guy who was doing my nails the last time and he admitted they do it the unsanitary way by just dipping everyone's fingers in the container instead of taking some out and using it in a separate container for each client. he actually told me to go buy my own dip powder and bring it in if i'm so worried about it because he had never seen anyone get an infection! all set thanks! read more

Took my daughter and her friend for a mani pedi tonight for her birthday, she's 10. They have chairs especially for kids and did an awesome job with the girls- very professional and made sure they were comfortable. I was not all that impressed with this new salon. I had made an appointment for a pedicure on Saturday morning. I didn't have to wait at all. I sat down for my pedicure and the water wasn't warm. I had to ask for the technician to make the water warmer. The technician kept getting interrupted to answer the phone and cash customers out. It was okay.. I looked online and saw their ombré and it looked very nice so I decided to give them a try, I sat down the guy in the front was talking to my nail tech, she didn't seem like she knew what I was asking for, he told me she would do 1 nail and see if I liked it she ended up just doing them all, I asked for almond shaped nails I got a mix between a square and an oval, for 72$(with tip) I didn't get exactly what I came for. She didn't file them much so some nails are uneven and some are lumpy.The man at the door also as I was leaving told me to come back if any of them fell off or anything happened and they would fix for free, which was nice but made me very nervous that they are using cheap stuff, the salon was clean the women that did my nails was nice, not to ruff but she was a deer in headlights when I told her what I wanted. I'll probably go back once more and ask for a different person, and see how they come out. read more
