The shoes we wanted were marked with a "CLEARANCE" tag, yet when we went to check out, there was no clearance price or discount applied. When I questioned it, I was told they apparently hadn't determined what the clearance discount was yet and could offer me 5% off. If you don't know what the clearance price is, perhaps don't put a clearance tag on the merchandise. Offering 5% off at that point was insulting. We walked out without purchasing anything and I'll never return. This is why online shopping is taking over. These stores do not offer any type of customer service.

I came with my partner after spending the day at the outlets near Palm Springs. We arrived pretty close to closing, and even then, it was such an amazing experience. I finally got the Bass Pro hats I've been dreaming about, and honestly, this is one of the coolest stores I've ever been in. They literally have everything for the outdoors; fishing, camping, road trips, hiking... if you need it, they probably have it. They even sell boats! There was a shooting range, archery equipment, grills, snacks, a restaurant, sweets, and so much more. I could have spent hours exploring. And the prices?! An absolute STEAL!! I was shocked seeing hats for $5.99 and $9.99. How?! We also grabbed their BBQ chips, and they were chef's kiss. The employees were very friendly. The cashier who helped us was incredibly kind. She did spend quite a while helping the customer in front of us, and my partner and I were joking that it looked like love at first sight between them. It made for a funny moment while we waited. One important heads-up: Apple Pay is currently not working. When we visited on July 3, 2026, the cashier told us it might not be fixed for a few months. If you usually rely on Apple Pay, I'd recommend calling ahead or bringing a physical credit or debit card just in case. Overall, I absolutely loved this place and can't wait to come back. He opened it on 12/25, but we didn't actually use it until mid-January. On his very first use, the coffee spilled all over him because the lid was cracked. I tried to avoid driving an hour back to the store, so I searched everywhere online for a replacement lid but couldn't find anything even remotely close. My last option was to return to the store to see if they would replace the defective lid. Unfortunately, I was told the return/exchange window had passed by just three days (01/15), and the employee refused to help. He even called the manager, who also said there was nothing they could do. When I asked where I could buy a replacement lid, the employee didn't know and mentioned that other customers have had the same issue with this type of lid -- which makes this even more concerning. To make matters worse, the only solution offered was for me to buy another insulated cup. That felt like a slap in the face considering the one I bought was defective. Because this was a Christmas gift, it sat in a gift bag for a while, which caused the defect to be discovered too late. For a store to refuse to help over three days, especially right after Christmas, is unreasonable and poor customer service. I will not be shopping at this location again.

The only thing "wrong" was that the flimsy barcode sticker had fallen off -- something that clearly wasn't my fault. The hat was brand new, unworn, and still had its other tags attached. All I wanted was an exchange because he didn't realize it was a fitted hat and wanted a snap back hat.. Instead of offering any help, the manager, Jenna, not only refused the return but tried to claim there was a "hair" on the hat, as if that justified keeping my money. The accusation felt insulting and completely unnecessary. Everyone tried on hats in the store so to claim a hair was on it was absurd.. it was unworn and still in the bag.. The corporate office does not have a phone number or an email that works.. you must get on their website and talk to a bot and then a human and then they will email you back in a few days.. still waiting on my email.. Here's the kicker: when I drove back to my local store, they immediately offered to exchange or refund the hat with no issues at all.
