I came with my partner after spending the day at the outlets near Palm Springs. We arrived pretty close to closing, and even then, it was such an amazing experience. I finally got the Bass Pro hats I've been dreaming about, and honestly, this is one of the coolest stores I've ever been in. They literally have everything for the outdoors; fishing, camping, road trips, hiking... if you need it, they probably have it. They even sell boats! There was a shooting range, archery equipment, grills, snacks, a restaurant, sweets, and so much more. I could have spent hours exploring. And the prices?! An absolute STEAL!! I was shocked seeing hats for $5.99 and $9.99. How?! We also grabbed their BBQ chips, and they were chef's kiss. The employees were very friendly. The cashier who helped us was incredibly kind. She did spend quite a while helping the customer in front of us, and my partner and I were joking that it looked like love at first sight between them. It made for a funny moment while we waited. One important heads-up: Apple Pay is currently not working. When we visited on July 3, 2026, the cashier told us it might not be fixed for a few months. If you usually rely on Apple Pay, I'd recommend calling ahead or bringing a physical credit or debit card just in case. Overall, I absolutely loved this place and can't wait to come back. This store has equipment, apparel and gear for the serious outdoors/adventure- rough-tuff, serious-bad ass person. Their products are primarily targeted for military personnel, law enforcement, first responders, firefighters or serious outdoor survivalists. I have purchased several items from 5.11 since its early inception due to my long years of service in the USMC from 1998 to 2007. Many of the gear I have from 5.11 have endured the test of time, combat and rough terrain. Today, I still purchased their products since they also have a wide choice of urban, city wear with unique and versatile use.

She showed me their less than lethal projection "gun" and let me fire a few round projectiles to try it out. She explained everything I needed to know about it, how to change out cylinders, maintenance etc... I didn't intend on spending anything, I just wanted to check the place out. So glad I stopped by. This will be the perfect self defense weapon in my RV since we will be traveling for 2 months this summer going across the entire country with multiple states (that have different gun laws) This weapon is legal in all 50 and is not considered a fire arm though it looks like one (and probably will feel like one too briefly for a bad guy). The shoes we wanted were marked with a "CLEARANCE" tag, yet when we went to check out, there was no clearance price or discount applied. When I questioned it, I was told they apparently hadn't determined what the clearance discount was yet and could offer me 5% off. If you don't know what the clearance price is, perhaps don't put a clearance tag on the merchandise. Offering 5% off at that point was insulting. We walked out without purchasing anything and I'll never return. This is why online shopping is taking over. These stores do not offer any type of customer service.

Even while helping another customer at the same time, she still made sure to check back with me and ask if I ended up finding the right size. That level of customer service really stood out to me.
