Very bad experience! Booked makeup and hair for my daughter's prom just to see what they use on these poor teenagers faces as makeup... filthy used brushes and applicators used on others and not to mention old makeup! Absolutely disgusting!! (The poor moms trustingly drop off their little girls) and leave never witnessing the level of unsanitary and dirty products their girls are being subjected to! Nevermid that they charge $170 to apply germs in an unhygienic manner!!! No I did NOT allow them to touch my daughter's face! I waited to post this review because I wanted to make sure that it was fair. Butchered, is the only word I can think of. On top of the technician being 10 minutes late with no prior client, the entire tail of my brow was taken off without permission. Then I was told I didn't walk in with that hair to begin with, it "looks fine" and it will "grow back fast". I had to ask for their makeup artist to teach me how to fill in my brows for the time being, no one even thought of it, everyone was just standing around looking while I was in tears. The owner didn't even come out to address anything (they asked if I wanted to see her..I don't even think that should be a question. And I'm sure now I'm that am writing a review she'll try and address it). Once the mistake was finally acknowledged I was offered a brow serum to help it grow back. But let's be serious, if those things even worked everyone would be walking around with full brows. Execution was poor, and the attempt at redemption was worse. I went in for a set of lashes for an event. The make-up artist made me wait 15 minutes after my appointment time even though she was just sitting at the front desk on her phone. Her application was terrible. And the lashes were bad quality (paid for the mink lash application). The salon itself is dirty and disorganized. read more

The Cranford salon is super cute, decor is chic and elegant and has a Hollywood vibe aesthetically. I found their acrylic nail tech Stephanie on Instagram and loved her work so I looked into the salon. I planned to get an acrylic ombré full set so I booked her about 3 weeks in advance along with a gel pedicure, hybrid lash set and waxing. Unfortunately, Stephanie was out sick the day of my appointment which was disappointing but of course beyond anyone's control which I understood. The gel pedicure was standard, no complaints. I received a hybrid lash set from one of the apprentice lash technicians and it looked pretty decent when she finished, but the lashes started falling out the next day. I know how to care for lash extensions and have never had that many lashes fall out so quickly in the past. By the end of the week, it looked like I never got them done. I was very disappointed given the price point. I would not return for this service although the more experienced lash technicians may provide a better quality installation. I booked all of my services for the Cranford location. There was a mix up and I ended up having to go to the Edison location (which was being renovated) for my waxing services the next day which wasn't a huge deal since I'm equidistant from both locations. Erica is awesome! I typically go to European Wax Center and Erica's wax and overall technique is WAY less painful! Brazilians always hurt, but it was by far the least painful wax I have ever received. I also received an underarm and lower leg wax. I'd highly recommend her for waxing! Overall, the Cranford location is gorgeous but I probably won't be returning. I'll stick to the Edison location for waxing with Erica since it is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. read more

I visited Glow to have my first full set of eyelashes applied. The salon is absolutely gorgeous. I was greeted by the super friendly Glow staff. The salon offers eyelash services, threading, makeup and waxing. Ashely applied my lashes and she did such an awesome job. I got #lashedbyAsh !!! She made sure I was comfortable throughout the application process which took approximately 1.5 hours. The lashes felt comfortable on my eyes and were not bothersome at all! These will last me about 2-3 weeks. (Check out my photos) Depending on which type of lashes you select they can range in price. Mine were $80 which I feel is fair especially because eye lash extensions can go up to $350 depending where you go. The lashes just open up your eyes and brighten your face to create a super fresh, awake look. I'm looking forward to waking up and putting on minimal make up! Brought my 12 year old daughter for her very first "basic facial" last week. Kristina did an AMAZING job! She explained everything she was doing which made my girl feel so at ease and super relaxed. Kristina took the time to ask questions to understand my daughter's normal habits (hair products, skin care routine, problematic areas, etc.) and even made recommendations for a skin care regimen that is easy to follow for a 12 year old. I called up today asking questions about extensions I had on at another salon. They were so sweet on the phone and explained that I'm not supposed to feel what I'm feeling. They were able to squeeze me in this evening for a removal and new lashes to be put on. Priya worked on my lashes. She worked so incredibly hard and was so knowledgeable and personable during the entire process. The other salon put so much glue on my lashes and glued my lashes together that it took Priya longer than normal to get all the glue off! Would not recommend for brown women. ALOT of makeup was applied to my face and I left looking dull, ashy, and harsh. When I called to make my appointment, I specifically asked if they could do brown skin and they replied "Yes." My makeup session started 30 minutes late, which was an issue as I was heading to an event - so I felt rushed. In addition, during my session, I had to be subjected to employee conversations around compensation, new merchandise, trips to NY and other things I should not have been privy to. (copy & pasted from google review) unfortunately it was my first time here and i won't be back. i went to melanie for a blowout and hair cut, at the beginning of the session i told her, please be careful with this piercing (conch) as it is very new and sensitive. during the entire time of her brushing my hair she wasn't gentle at all in that area, and when i was getting my hair washed, she raised the sink and it hit my piercing causing it to bleed and it will definitely now get an irritation bump, something i was trying really hard not to get as healing time will be more than a year. she didn't even say sorry or anything, just "i could never get my hair done with a new piercing." my earring back to another piercing went down the drain as well. i honestly should not have tipped, and i don't even think she expected one either. horrible experience here where my concern was not listened to. read more

I made appointment and I had to pay 50% of the service in advance (which was fine) the owner said that was to avoid last minute cancellations (less them 24 hours) unfortunately I had to canceled my apt 48 hours before, I thought I could be refund but the owner said "I would have a credit in her salon" .
