It was installed September 2024. We however were not the happiest with the installers. One of them seemed to be in a rush and tried to cut corners when it came to the gas line. Seemed a bit annoyed when we asked him to do it correctly. Other than that, our experience this far has been great.

They were able to install it anyway, so the fireplace is up and running, but I have to wait until the face panel arrives from the supplier to complete the job. That may be a supply-chain issue, but I'm not sure.

Manny visits houses to repair gas fireplaces by day and gets customer requests and schedules appointments after the work day. He is fully insured and factory trained. It is him and one other employee that handle manage repairs and scheduling. Manny was marvelous! He gave us a window of 1.5 hours and showed up shortly after the start time of that range. He had the parts he needed for the repair and quickly fixed the issue. He then cleaned the fireplace and adjusted the flame and it looks way better than it did before. We have another fireplace downstairs that had a very cloudy window and he went down and cleaned that one as well. My frustration in trying to make an appointment with Woodland Stoves, along with other incidents,…read morehas prompted me to express myself in hopes that management might reflect on this feedback and revisit certain business practices. I will try to be objective. 1) Purchased a wood stove from them 8 years ago. It was difficult to get the attention of anybody working there, but eventually we were helped. 2) Purchased a hearth pad at the same time. The design was wrong upon delivery - too late to change. 3) Installation by them was okay. Employees were patient, efficient and friendly. They had, however, initially positioned the hearth pad the wrong way. My wife, who was present, corrected them, but they had already drilled the hole for the stovepipe in the ceiling, so things were a little off. I can live with it. Clean up was great. 4) We also hired Woodland Stoves to service our wood stove every two years. Scheduling was a bit difficult, but the wait was no more than two months, and things were done rather efficiently. 5) Having Woodland Stoves change out the hearth pad was marked by poor or no communication on their part. I had the feeling that they were not very invested in helping me with this, and when the error in communication came to light, the exchange turned sour. Frustrating. 6) Day of installation of the new hearth pad - and cleaning - was great. Workers were again kind and thorough. 7) This summer I have tried to schedule an appointment for a routine service. There is an online form one can fill out and submit. One can also call and have information taken from you. For some reason, my attempts to get an appointment have gotten nowhere. I filled out the online form twice and called once. Supposedly, this only puts you in a QUEUE for the scheduler. After three weeks, I have not been contacted, neither via email nor by phone. There is no mention made via phone conversation or online of a suggested timeline for a simple response. This has been beyond frustrating. At the very least, service representatives should make some mention of when to receive notification. I feel that my request has been buried, forgotten or ignored, and this has prompted me to finally take my business elsewhere. Three attempts - and three weeks - is beyond acceptable. I was never even contacted by them with a suggested date for the cleaning. I submitted an online request with another company and got a personal response within 24 hours. To me, this speaks volumes of a company's actual service, and I look forward to doing business with them. Woodland Stoves - I really, really tried.....

We want to have a wood-burning fireplace to gather around in the winter. We had a couple of estimates and Chimney Doctors were confident and took the time to explain the work to us. Probably, that's our biggest issue with them. The estimate was a bit confusing since some of what seemed like options were both elements to have addressed if we wanted to have use of the fireplace and an option for one of those elements. But when we called to ask, they were great. We most recently had our chimney rebuilt from the roof up. It was such a smooth process working with Cole and everyone at Chimney Doctors. We had all of our questions answered, we got a call each morning letting us know when they would arrive, and the rebuild looks great.
