Saved at the last minute! I was in town for the weekend and had a received a spray town prior to coming to Chicago. Unfortunately I had also received a back and face chemical peel a week prior to getting my initial spray town. Well, by the time I got to Chicago my back had dried up and my skin looked like a blotchy half tanned skin peeling lizard. I started to panic because I had planned to go on a boat the next day and it was now in the middle of the afternoon the day prior. Immediately I started calling all spray tanning salons around and no one could help me or get me in. By a miracle, I had found Glowout on Yelp and saw all the positive reviews. When I called I was greeted by the owner Jennifer. After sharing my crisis, she became extremely empathetic and was eager and determined to help me look evenly tanned and beautiful. She ironically had one spot available (it was meant to be!) and told me to come in right away. The Salon was located on the third floor above a sandwich shop and the set-up made it feel as though I was in Jennifer's home. It was clean, cozy and the staff was welcoming. She introduced me to Becky, who is just as amazing and helpful. They told me not to worry and that they will get this taken care of. They had me shower and wash off the tan with a chemical they provided. Anything that I wasn't able to get off or reach, Becky helped scrub off. After drying, they gave me a hair net and both worked together on making sure that they were not over spraying my legs and arms where I was already tan and making sure that the new tan would match my existing tan. Trust me; this was not an easy task! They were on a mission to get this right. I had a dinner to go to that evening (making for an even worse case scenario) so they used the express tan and gave me the exact time when I could shower so I could be ready in time for the dinner. I brought a bag of clothes with me and they helped decide what shirt was best to wear out. They even offered me one of their store shirts! I was only there for about 45 minutes but I felt like they were my best friends helping a girl out. The next day I was able to relax and feel confident that my tan was back to normal and ready to take on a bathing suit! Next time I'm in town, I may just go there on my first stop instead of getting a spray tan in my own city. read more

I only signed up to Yelp to leave this review...yes, JUST to review this place! This was my very first time getting spray tanned by a person and let me just say, it was a great experience! I'm extremely body conscious and Jenny was really professional and really cool. I felt comfortable almost immediately after giving her my disclaimer. She first checked out my skin tone just so she can concoct the right shade for me. She was very meticulous with the application and very helpful/patient as she gave me direction as to how and where to position my arms and legs. She did her thing and made me look awesome! I'm extremely satisfied with the very natural-looking results thus far. She is the best in Chicago for a reason and I can attest to that! Mystic Tan, Schmystic Tan!! Seriously IN LOVE with Glowout! I really have no more words than that! Actually, I do. The space is beyond gorgeous and fun, just like the staff and owner, Jenn! My tans are spot on everytime, they even customize your own color for you. As someone who has a very blotchy skin tone, this can be hard. I love how I feel when I leave and for more than a week later I still look golden! I've even made my husband get tans before big trips. He's a guy's guy but feels totally comfortable at Glowout. The whole staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable, not to mention professional as can be. Glow Out a Golden Girl Salon is THE place to get the PERFECT spray tan. The owner, Jenn Dias has perfected her trade & her own products. I get a spray tan for all my professional photo shoots & it is always perfect. I am in & out in 20 minutes!! You can actually rinse off the express tan in 4 hours. Amazing. Jenn's Golden Girl lotion is the best I've ever found. Jenn and her staff are the sweetest, most genuine people you could meet. You will definitely love the energy & feel of the place. I discovered Jenn through my favorite spa Allyu downtown. I was very intruiged at how the whole process would work with her coming to my home and not being your standard spa visit. Was I surprised at how simple and easy this was.She came to my apartment with her cute little suitcase and tent and was in and out in 20 minutes or so. There are few times when I enjoy being viewed in all my glory but I could tell intstantly Jenn didn't worry about my flaws and just wanted my tan to be "perfection" as she called it. LOVE this place! So cute inside. Megan Fox sprayed me and it turned out great. I usually use the versaspa for my spray tans but have also tried multiple airbrush tans before and nothing compares to Glowout. I also want to take a second and rave about Megan. Not only did my tan turn out amazing and look super natural - she was fantastic. SO personable. She made me feel so comfortable and I could tell she really cared about me leaving happy. She even followed up on my tan to make sure I was satisfied. She will definitely be my spray tan girl from here on out. read more

I hadn't had a spray tan before going to Golden Girl, but I'd seen some pretty bad ones on my friends! SO, I was definitely nervous. I had to wear an ivory dress in a wedding, and in order not to blend right into my dress, I decided to try Golden Girl Chicago. IT WAS AWESOME! I looked GREAT in the photos and the tan looked really natural, not streaky at all. I had an amazing spray tan from Megan! I was nervous at first but Megan was so sweet and had such a great personality that I completely forgot what I was nervous about. We talked the whole time and before I knew it we were done and my tan looked AWESOME! I've never had a spray tan that was so naturnal and even all over! Jenn is AMAZING. I was in town from New York for a couple of days and was nervous about trying a new place. Jenn puts you at ease right away and does an amazing job. The color came out natural and streak free. She only uses organic product so the solution wasn't sticky or smelly. I have been tanned by Jen a hndful of times for special occasions, and each time she made me feel at ease, and I looked fantastic the next day.
