I suspect they have theft issues at this store. Maybe that's why this clerk, Octavio, chose to behave the way he did. Very little personality, very little effort, seemingly disinterested. He showed me the items I asked about, then walked away saying he had to do something. I took a moment to choose, then turned to go to the counter and buy the items. Low and behold, there the clerk was... watching me like a hawk. As I if was going to steal something. Then it hit me: I'm being racially profiled! (6ft 255lb Black man). I play it off. Get my pics knowing this Yelp review is coming. He confirms my suspicion when a cute little white girl comes in the store. The clerk's once cold, stone face instantly brightens. I've been here before once but today I was in need of a few items at this location and Kevin made the experience amazing.

I was falling asleep at a restaurant outside Westfield Culver City and I needed an energy drink so I saw there was a GNC inside the mall. I looked at the map directory and also on Google maps to see where it was at. The GNC store is on the 2nd floor near Target. When a walked in a worker greeted me and I went straight to look for a ZOA energy drink. I found the 12 pack but not a single one so I asked where a cold energy drink is and he told me it was near the check out. They didn't have ZOA in the refrigerator so I settle for Prime energy. I normally don't do malls but I had to bring a friend to pick up some vitamins back in the week of August. Me personally, what I tend to watch for in customer service is how team members treat customers that are up in age. My friend is in her late '60s and so she tends to move a bit slow and speak low as well. John was very polite to her which I deeply appreciated. He walked her over to the section where her vitamins would be sold and made sure she was content with her purchase. Although it was the last bottle and she decided not to buy anything I appreciate it the way John treated her. read more

GNC should be ashamed of themselves for hiring the two gentlemen that were working at their store site today. One of them was named Jonathan. I believe the other one was Octavio. Sadly, one of them was the store manager. When I entered the store. The two gentlemen were standing behind the counter, having a personal conversation, neither of them bother to even acknowledge me. When I chose the item that I wanted to purchase and walk to the counter, the two gentlemen continue to have their personal conversation and did not even acknowledge that I was standing in front of them at the counter. I eventually waved my hand in the air as if to say hey I'm here. And again, instead of saying, welcome, how can I help you, or showing any type of customer service, Jonathan said do you have a number with us. As he's ringing up my transaction, they start to tell a group of Latino women that were in the store shopping about the buy one get 1/2 off special in Spanish. Please keep in mind they did not bother to show me any type of customer service, nor did they even mention that special to me. I'm assuming that they thought I didn't understand what they were saying in Spanish to the Latino women. I'm never one to typically scream racism, but this was so blatant. I called the customer service number and spoke to a woman named Maria, who I am really hoping will relay this information to the corporate office. This is really really really sad. Horrible customer service experience - ordered 3 cases of an energy drink and received 3 large cases of the complete wrong product in the mail. After contacting customer service and submitting photos of the product I received, I was told that my original order would be immediately shipped with expedited shipping that day. 2+ days later I'm contacted and told that my order had not yet been shipped and that I now have to go ship back all of the incorrect product via FedEx (3 large, heavy boxes) and wait for those items to be received & processed by the return center before their team can confirm the issue and then eventually decide to ship my original product (which I now ordered over 2 weeks ago - making it so that it would take nearly a month to receive my order). Additionally, I was given one return label for 3 boxes of product, so FedEx was unable to accept the other boxes. After waiting on hold for 20+ minutes to retrieve these additional labels so that I could return to FedEx once more for a second shipment, I was told that I still wouldn't be sent my original order until it was all received on their end. After asking if there was anything their team could do to make up for this wildly inconvenient situation, I was offered a $5 gift card for my troubles (which wouldn't even cover shipping had I accepted it). Unacceptable customer service experience as a first time GNC customer which has entirely deterred me from shopping with this company ever again. - Worked with Laura & Sebastian on their customer service team. read more

I've been here twice and I've seen the employees here be proactive and sensitive to their customers needs. Both times ive been here they would encourage me to look for coupons in my email so that I would save. And also everytime they were proactive in providing advice if you are looking for a specific item. But really what makes me take the time to write a review is that I've seen employees here (weekday nights) have a remarkable way of solving issues that their customers have. One time I was here I had to return one item that I got a promotion. There's complexities in returning an item that was bought on a discount especially if there's points tied to it. They were able to find a fair solution that recognizes the amount that I paid for and let me apply that amount to a new item that I wanted. They made sure that I found the solution fair. Tonight, I saw these guys handle a customer who was literally asking every other customer for money because somehow their credit card wasn't working. They were calm and polite to that person and the customers who were being harassed. I have shopped in several other branches and this is the best GNC location ive seen in terms of real customer service. read more

Tall curly long haired worker there did NOT want to be there and the customer service was TRASH. The coworker excused it by the fact that he "just came back from lunch" and the. proceeded to walk aggressively towards me but walked away noticing I was clearly on the phone with the malls security/customer service. Clearly upset their working minimum wage and long hours, if you don't like your job then quite there is no reason to charge at a PREGNANT women with such aggressive behavior because YOU dont like your job. read more

No wonder all gnc's are closing. The people that work here don't know anything about business, service, sales, or products. I even saw the one guy on the floor go to the back while over 10 people were in the store and he left the store completely empty for about five minutes. Yikes! Customer service was ok but they oversold their gnc pro membership. They told me that I'll be receiving sample boxes "every month". I didn't receive my first box till 4 months later. I called customer service and they also informed me that I'll only be receiving two boxes a year?! The guys working at this GNC should've been more clear with this. Not only did this GNC not have what I needed (which is weird because it's a chain and what I wanted was a standard product), the sales lady was extremely rude. When I asked her to locate an item for me, she didn't say a single word but just pointed with her pen. When I looked and didn't find what I was looking for I started to say to her "I don't see..." and she cut me off and said "It's right there!" and didn't even wait for me to say the name of the product I was looking for. Seriously? How rude can you be? I'm usually impressed with how nice and knowledgable GNC employees are but I'm really shocked at how much she did not care to try. read more

So there's actually a GNC closer to my house but i prefer this one, because it has more products and the customer service is considerably better. I went in the other day hoping to buy a 6pack bag, unfortunately they had just sold the last one :(, BUT the sales guy went out of his way to call other stores and see if they had in stock and told me when they got their next shipment so i could check in. they also tend to have some pretty good in store deals if you catch them on the right day :) read more

Great clean store. Service was good. Just ran in quickly on my way to the gym to buy a few protein bars, if you donate at least a dollar you get a 10 dollars off your next purchase. Some things are a little pricey so 10 dollars would be great help. read more

Just ran in here to grab a few supplements. They didn't have exactly what I needed but one of the employee's was super helpful - he even gave me a free jar of supplement powder since they had an in-store celebrity appearance and the guy was giving away product. I went here to pick up a single item. Simple enough right? It just so happened that that item was on sale, too! Well when I got to the cashier, I saw she rang the item at a different price. I immediately questioned her and even walked her to the shelf to show her the price that I should have been charged. She was making all kinds of excuses saying that the products weren't in the right spots. While she was talking to me, she was totally reorganizing the shelves so it'd look like I was crazy if I'd had spoken to a manager about the mixup. This worker was very argumentative and non-customer oriented. I must also mention that I went with a friend and she only went to purchase 1 item. For whatever reason, it took her 5 minutes to finish paying for it (luckily she was the only one in line). Poor service. I won't ever be stepping foot in this store again. read more

I have visited many locations before but this is the first GNC where EVERYONE was so attentive! A girl named Cynthia really helped me choose some amazing products that I was very close-minded about! Although they had many customers, she made sure I was taken care of. I usually just bought GNC's pre workout, but she gave me some of her personal experience with some products such as the meal replacement and fat burner and I have to say I've felt great the past week or so! Conveniently, she offered me a membership and helped me save some cash (which I was able to use for some more shopping haha). I would definitely recommend this specific location! But like someone else said, I think I'll go down to Vitamin World (didn't know there was one in the mall, thanks!) or maybe order online now.
