Wow I really appreciate their expediency BUT the tech or pharmacist I talked to on the phone (Grace) has HORRIBLE customer service skills. I just got off the phone with her and the phone conversation was unnecessarily redundant. She cut me off numerous times as I tried to answer her questions - which essentially made her ask the same question 15 seconds later because she didn't actually wait 2 seconds for me to answer - this happened AT LEAST 4 times. It was an excruciating experience speaking with her. I hope she gets some training on her sucky customer skills. read more

Ever since CVS installed the new AI automated phone system, each & every time the AI says "please hold while we transfer your call (to the pharmacist to ask a medication question which the AI cannot answer)" the AI disconnects the call. Every single time. This has been happening for weeks now. I've told them this and they said they would report it to MGMT or corporate. Nonetheless, nothing has changed. The pharmacists are excelkent, but the AI is a disaster. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. read more

Heather is inquisitive, helpful, assertive and pro-active. Heather helps out far beyond the scope of the blue haired lady. It's like night and day. I love Heather as she -just before closing- pulled a prescription from another CVS, prepped it and made it for my sick daughter. Two nights in a row! The pharmacist there a vary respectful, in my book that hails king above all else, I went to get the COVID vaccination shot, The lady pharmacist was vary professional, when administering the the vaccination shot to me. I admit I was scared, that does not make me a punk or a buster. I care a lot about all the colleagues that I work with and would take it vary personal if one of them perished because me, because I decided not to get a COVID vaccination shot. I can't live with that type of guilt . Im only speaking for my self, I can't make a Selfish decision Knowingly that it will have irreparable repercussions on somebody's life or family life. I like this Target, but I wish they sold alcohol like pretty much ALL of the other Targets in a 10 mile radius. Never mind Target may as well be my second home, I never think of it when it comes to needing a pharmacy. That is, until I ran across a yelp review raving about one. So this week when I realized I needed one I thought, duh, and finally checked mine out. For starters, the pharmacist at the desk was both pleasant and helpful even going out of his way to help me track down my insurance info when I was sans insurance card (as opposed to telling me to f'k off home to get it like I expected). Their intake form was more thorough than I've seen elsewhere and it covered everything from vitamins I may take to eye drops. They had everything in stock I needed and they even walked me through using these rebate cards that entirely eliminated my co-pay. Woo! The red packaging is a trip. Beer commented it almost looks like a candy dispenser which is pretty accurate but they're designed to be user friendly -- easily stored, opened, readable and even stackable in a drawer. They let you choose a color for bands that go onto all of your bottles as not to confuse them with anyone else's at home and they give you the option of child resistant or standard caps. Something I totally appreciate considering when I'm sick the last thing I want to do is wrestle a bottle open. You can set up auto-refills and join their rewards program if you're a Target cardholder. Also noticed generics are super cheap -- $4 bucks helps the medicine go down! -- and they offer customizable options like letting you choose and add your own flavors to liquid meds. And I'm not talkin' about cherry and grape crap here. The list included raspberry, lemon, watermelon, strawberry cream, bubble gum, chocolate, vanilla, chocolate covered cherry and chocolate banana pie, just to name a few. Almost enough to make a sudden need for codeine laced cough syrup sound like a good idea.Hellloooo cold and flu season. read more

Ok, well maybe I'm used to other pharmacies that actually try to work with you, hence I have a 93-year-old grandmother who has 14 prescriptions so you know the troubles I go about. Well I came here to get an antibiotic for my 70 year-old father and the pharmacy tech/pharmacist saw I had no other insurance card, so I assumed she was going to run his ssn# but she was reluctant to do so and suggested to pay the retail price because her computer was too old to run it so it wasn't going to show. So I asked politely to do so, even if it did or not, I know my dad has insurance. But she told me she would have it ready if I returned with the proper cards, or I would pay the full amount. I'm assuming she was thinking I was going to get some cash and come back but I just told her I'd go elsewhere, she wanted to charge me $77 for a week worth of antibiotics. Lame! .... ....bravo! Terrible experience at this location. Have 2 sick babies at home and was trying to get basic Motrin and Tylenol bottles for them and even though my pediatrician called in for a prescription they gave me the hardest time. Their pharmacist Was showing more empathy and being more understanding but their tech Marcos is like a robot with no emotions and very dismissive. I get it with Covid 19 everyone is overworked but let's not lose the human touch and having empathy for one another. I was very polite but got the cold Shower on the other side. In 2020, I had a great experience getting my flu shot with Stephanie, the pharmacist at that time. Unfortunately, she is no longer there. I went in last week and received a flu shot from Jun Ho Ma, a different pharmacist. Terrible experience! Painful shot! And, I've been receiving flu shots annually for over 20 years. Later that day when I removed the bandage, I saw that he had placed a cotton ball underneath the bandage and the cotton was stuck to my skin with blood. I have never in my entire life bleed from a flu shot. I also noticed that the shot was not placed in the right spot on my arm. And 5 days later, the area looks bruised with a bump in the center. This was my second year at this pharmacy. I will never go back! I do not recommend the pharmacist by the name of Jun Ho Ma. read more

Outstanding service, efficient friendly staff I started coming here because of the convenience (next to my office) and due to bad experience with Ralphs and Rite Aid. Their staff is amazing: knowleageable, caring, accomodating - all that a pharmacy should be! The attendant even made a suggestion to change the dates in which my refills would be ready, so I did not have to make unnecessary trips (not that I mind that either). Their phone reminders are great - even when the prescription is expired, they call your doctors and make sure it is ready when they say it will be ready. read more

today I visit 2 times to pick up my meds , the first time I have to leave because it was a huge line waiting like 30 people in line and only 2 cashiers attending . so I come back later on around 4 pm and it was the same amount of people waiting so I have to leave again with out my meds , the service has to change in this particular pharmacy slauson and Vermont 5822 the point it's that they texting you to go and get your meds and when you go they make you wait for a long time when people are sick like me we can be standing up for a long time we saw some many pharmacists packing meds but only one or 2 at the windows the pharmacy it's full of meds because a lot people do not pick up their meds why keep packing so many customer are first and keep packing when it's not body waiting on the line . thank you and maybe I have to change to another pharmacy who provide a better service read more

Do NOT come here!!!!!! The moron behind the counter (skinny white guy with a goofy face, light brown hair, and needed to shave) was beyond incompetent! He was too lazy to look up my girlfriend's prescriptions, called us both liars, and called security when he was proved wrong by his boss. His boss was not very helpful either. The entire staff have zero knowledge of the products they handle or how to talk to people. Call me old fashioned, but I believe if you work with people that are relying on your expertise you should learn something about medicine and the people who take it before being permitted anywhere near pills or customers! I know these "people" aren't Drs, but pharmacology IS part of the medical field thus requiring a certain level of sensitivity. These people have none! Unless you don't care if a fry cook preps your medication stay as far away as you possibly can! read more

I ran into some issues with my last Dr and he tried to help by facing the dr. He also helped me look for a coupon to reduce the cost of my prescription. WARNING!!! I have been going to this store for 14 years and always been happy as target always used my discount cards automatically as I pay cash. Yesterday I go in and my prescription is $54 - I complain and they said they did use the discount card - lucky I asked. Next day I come in and the same prescription is $34 - I said that was still too high and went onto the website GoodRX where it's state the cvs price was $11 - I complained to the manager who said it was a computer glitch when they transferred from target to cvs. I said why are your staff not warning the public - I had not been told on either occasion. The transfer had occurred 2 weeks ago so ample time to train staff to warn the public. Finally I said there should be large signs on each counter warning the public that there was a serious computer fault that was costing the elderly and vulnerable a lot of money. My final prescription price was $9.30 instead of $54 - wow UPDATE- came in 2 weeks later to pick up a prescription was told it was $50 - I said did you apply a discount card and was told yes- check on GoodRX and the price quoted there for cvs pharmacy at target was $33.96 - can you say FRAUD! I wonder how many elderly people are being overcharged because they don't know to check - Buyer BEWARE!!! read more

I used to go to CVS Wilshire and Doheny Drive. Terrible service, mistakes, long wait on lines. Found excellent customer service and follow up with the pharmacy at Target La Cienega. Marco always recognizes me, and has everything ready. Everyone there cares about the customers and does their best. Great attitude and customer service.
