Anytime a sale happens this location always claims to have "just run out" of the product

3rd time I take time to drive over, and they're on a 30min break, 45 min, now today on 4/16 it says will return in an hour when it's 8pm. I can peak and see someone in there. Then he walks out, with red hair and ignores me when I literally kindly say "excuse me" . You're not cool guy. Y'all are not that busy to be closing the door to do whatever (follow store hours) then being rude like that. Specifically to this employee, you are a weirdo for that. Never order online they never deliver online at all . Sometimes takes about two or three weeks to be delivered.

This GNC was a franchise but is now independently owned. Very black and white when it comes to using the gold card. Will not allow you to use your gold card for a family or friend. Although very knowledgable, the associate does not seem very friendly. I would strongly recommend against this GNC. Westfield mall has a GNC with staff members that are much friendlier. If you're willing to drive down the 15, the Rancho Bernardo GNC is franchise. They offer military discount AND offer price matching!! read more

Stopped in at 810pm. Hours state they're open until 9pm. Sign on the door read, "Back in 30 minutes". I called. A guy answered and said he'd be back on the clock "in eight minutes". I said to forget it and left. I'll give my money to Nutrition Zone. You just lost a sale, GNC, not cool. read more

I went in to GNC looking for a specific supplement which I have taken before after major surgery. I should have just said I was just browsing and left it at that because when I asked where the particular supplement was, I was interrogated on why I needed it and what I'd be using it for. This isn't something that is controversial or a crazy substance of sorts... a basic enzyme in pill form. Anyways, it was a pain in my butt to get the guy to shut up for a second, let me pay and leave. Probably the worse GNC Iv been to. This is the second time now Iv come to this GNC and the door is locked do to them being on "lunch" with the sign light on saying "OPEN" they only have one person working at a time when they're should be 2. It's very inconvenient coming to this location just to find out they're on Lunch and the door is locked with no notice. Hopefully they hire another person to cover the person that needs a break. read more

Went in to purchase some vitamins, i asked if they price match vitamin shoppe the sales clerk named Erica said yes. As i was about to pay my 5yr old son said he had to go pee, i asked Erica if my son could use the bathroom (she clearly heard him say he needed to go pee). She said no, I asked again can my son please use the bathroom again she said no. Asked 3 times and the answer was no. I told her if it was ok for him to go pee on the floor. She shrugged her shoulders and said not her problem... I cannot believe you would neglect the bathroom to a child!!! read more

This place is excellent and has a VERY knowledgeable staff, especially Jeric, and I will tell you why; but FIRST let me explain how I realized this place is what it is. Before and after GNC (I moved and couldn not go anymore) I went to a many other nutrition stores and being newer to these stores I bought into their advice. They sold me all sorts of products, gave me discounts/freebies, and gave me "advice" that I believed was credible... until I looked into it myself I realized I had been scammed. They had me taking excess amounts of what they sold me JUST so I would come back for more. They only told me what I wanted to hear and even a FEW stores offered products that; and I quote "After you are finished with these products, I have stuff in the back I can't sell on the shelves that will get you jacked" and I immediately quit going there.This is where GNC of Escondido comes into play. I went in one day just to browse and ask a few questions. It started when I overheard Jeric explaining a few products to some other customers and WOW did he know his stuff. He explained EXACTLY how to use it thoroughly, what products you may want to use it with it (not pushy and salesman-like AT ALL, just some genuine advice) and how to combine them, and answered any of their inquiries with full detail and some tips as well. HE HADN'T EVEN HELPED ME YET AND I WAS IMPRESSED. There is more. I brought to his attention the products I had obtained from the other stores and he did NOT give me the usually "quit using that product and buy this instead" kind of thing. He told me how I could finish using those products, offered to sell me those specific products or ones he believed were better (and no they were not the most expensive products either), and even showed me videos that really helped me out. The products&tips did wonders. He offered to have me call in if I had any questions AND offered to refund the product used or unused no questions asked. It has been two months and I cannot say I have been anywhere else that I have felt more comfortable shopping at (TWO MONTHS and I still remember the service!). Sure he can go on and on but that is because they are passionate about what they do and about your health. If it is really that big of a deal to you, you know what you want already, or you are in a rush, THEN USE THE VOICE GOD GAVE YOU AND TELL THEM YOU WOULD JUST LIKE TO BUY THE PRODUCT instead of complaining and ruining someones reputation. That is just plain childish. I WISH that I could find somewhere down here where I can find this kind of EXCELLENT and GENUINE customer service such as this store. It's usually hit or miss with this store. The staff can be friendly, or incredibly rude. It just depends on the person that is working. Went in today looking for a certain preworkout and I asked if they were out of a certain flavor and the gentleman with glasses and a beard said, "whatever we have is out." To which I jokingly said, "you guys always seem to be out of what I need." He said nothing. No empathizing. Nothing. I explained how the last few times I have needed other items and he continued to be silent. Cool dude. Whatever. I got the other flavor, paid and left.
