It's a local grocery store with some locations in Dallas (and one in Waxahachie) but this is the first time I've been into an Ann's. This location is on the bottom floor of the 101 Center apartments facing Abrams St. It's right next to City Hall, the Downtown Library, Levitt Pavilion, Inclusion Coffee, etc. Ann's is larger than a convenience store but definitely smaller than a Whole Foods or Sprouts. Nevertheless, they have a pretty decent assortment of food, drinks, household goods, and supplements that fall under the broad natural grocery category. They have a nice selection of local and specialty beers if you're looking for something to take to one of the Levitt Pavilion concerts. They even carry several products I've never seen at other natural grocers. Some products are a bit pricey but most of them are comparable to what you'll pay at one of the larger chains like Whole Foods, Sprouts, or Target. There's also a free rewards program you can sign up for at the register and coupons you can sign up for on their website. Everyone is nice and helpful in the store. All Barlean's products are induction sealed so no oxygenation can occur. Therefore, they are shelf stable until opened as long as the product doesn't sit in high heat for a prolonged period of time. You should, however, refrigerate our liquid supplements after opening. This store is well laid out and well stocked for the most part. Would like to see more organic nuts, flours and bars. Cereal is overpriced compared to the stores listed below. Vitamins are more expensive than other health/vitamin stores...but you have to drive to Abilene for Natural Grocers or Drug Emporium. Considering the convenience of this store...it's a wash except for not having as much variety.
