But I never considered shopping at Aldi. I incorrectly perceived them to be one big generic store. My husband began working for a company with an Aldi close by. He'd stop in and grab little things at first... right around the time we really began reading labels on our food. He mentioned to me that many of their items contain minimal ingredients and often times the high fructose corn syrup that is in national brands isn't present in items at Aldi's. He got my attention with those revelations. I began visiting my local Aldi and there are several items I LOVE!! I won't list them, but I encourage you to find your own. I will admit that it's sometimes a nuisance to bring your own bags but we have to start being kinder to the earth anyway so it's a welcomed inconvenience... and you save a ton of money.
