I bee-lined straight through the doors, handed over my ID, and retreated as far from the entrance as I could. When the man followed me inside, panic set in. Knowing I couldn't use a phone call per store policy, I frantically typed "I'm trying to avoid that man" into a blank text message and showed it to the male employee who approached to help me. ​Without missing a beat, he shifted into the most empathetic ally I could have asked for, seamlessly pretending I was shopping for a grape-flavored indica cartridge while he kept me grounded. Meanwhile, the female employee working with him picked up on the strange energy and immediately stepped in to assist the man, keeping a close eye on the situation until he finally exited. ​Both of them were so kind and empathetic. They helped me recombobulate, made me feel completely safe while we watched him safely cross the road, and even sent me home with a piece of candy. I have a medical card and I'm a budtender so they're supposed to be an additional discount. Apparently the discount I get at the electric lettuce next to my house is different than the one I get at this location and even with that being said, the number they quoted me was only a dollar cheaper than the Medical price when it should've been about six dollars cheaper.
