I would give this location a zero if i could.This is the worst GNC I've visited. The product I wanted had an advertised price cheaper than any other GNCs I've seen it at so i thought it must be on sale, lucky day. The employee told me that the system said something else therefore he could not honor that price. I argued with him that its the law to sell it for the advertised price & he said well idk who put it there ill adjust it, the sticker not my product. Then he told me "I see, you're one of those". All I wanted was fair custoner service. He also told me that was "his" franchise & didn't believe me that I get double point on my purchase instill I showed him my email. He said oh I didn't know that coupon was sent out. I also had a $5 off coupon & when I tried to give him the code he commented, "huh, I see how it is". I asked for a refund because he kept telling me he wasn't arguing with me when he really was and walked to the door and pulled the sticker off & put it in his pocket, then saying "where did it go if it was there"? Btw, my dad and two older children were with me and witnessed this. Long story shorter, he lied about several things regarding GNC, I visit GNC's all over San Diego. Which is why I know their policies & customer service standards, but this was the first & worst experience making me rethink supporting GNC, even if they are franchised & have trolls like this guy bringing shame to their brand. read more

My friend suggested that I should try GNC for supplements since I am going back to the gym. I went to GNC completely clueless on what products they have and what I need. As I went in, I was greeted by Kyle. He asked if I had any questions and I basically told him I have no idea what I am doing. He asked me what type of supplements I needed (protein, weight loss, ect) I told him what I wanted and he went over some products with me. He took his time to hear me out and took enough time to fully explain to me what they had to offer It was great experience and he told me I can even earn points on purchases by signing up for their rewards program! If I could give no stars to this establishment I would do so in a heartbeat. I have never had such a horrible experience and have never been treated so badly with customer service. My friends and I walked into the store at 8:37pm (the store closes at 9pm) to buy a blender that was on sale. The sales rep at the time, Brian, said to us "we are closing in 8 minutes so let me hurry up help you find what you are looking for". We found the blenders, but even though we EACH had a coupon code for $10 off he refused to do 3 separate transactions & said even if we do 1 transaction it will take $10 off each one. We completed our transaction at 8:53pm and started to exit the store. As we were leaving we noticed he did not give us $10 off each one as we had discussed, so we walked back up to the counter & was told by Brian that it was it was 1 coupon per person/transaction and if we wanted to return the transaction we have to come back tomorrow because it is a long process and he didn't have time for it. So we decided to come back tomorrow for the return, but my friend wanted to at least do one more transaction with correct pricing. Brian then said "well hurry up because I don't have time for this". Then as she tried to check out he said "my register isn't working it locks up at 9pm". Another customer then walks in & miraculously he said the register is working & asked the new customer "Is there anything I can help you with?" From the moment my friends & I walked into the store we weren't even greeted with that type of service! So I then asked him for a business card & if he was the manager of the store & he said no he wasn't, but the manager will be in tomorrow morning. I then to proceed to tell him he has been very rude to us. He then said "I warned you we were closing soon and that we will close at 9pm". Note that we walked into the store at 8:37pm!!! And I told him we came in way before 9 pm. He told me now it's after 9 pm and any store we go they would asked us to leave, even Best Buy. From all my experiences, as a customer if you come in before their closing time they still let you finish up even if their closing time passes. He then said "well I need to help the next customer" and stepped to the side. I asked him if that is how he treats customers and said I will be calling his manager and he told me he doesn't care & "go ahead and call my manager". I asked him for his last name & he said " I'll write it for you" HE THEN WROTE BRIAN F.U. and said "NOW GET THE F*** OUT OF MY STORE"! Needless to say I will be calling the manager of the store, the owner of the store & also corporate! And no, I will not be back. read more

Not only did he give me good customer service, he gave me great insight and knowledge on the product that I was buying. Every time I go to this GNC I have such an awesome experience! The manager Kyle is always so helpful and educates me on different products and ingredients that I am unfamiliar with. Recently I had the pleasure of speaking to the owner, Dennis. I was unable to find a BCAA powder that I previously purchased from this GNC and Lucas contacted Dennis about my inquiry. Dennis took the initiative to reach out to me to resolve my issue and also share is knowledge about other products that might work better. I was very impressed with their knowledge, customer service and professionalism that both Dennis and Kyle displayed while trying to find the best product that would work for me. I was on GNC.com to order EAS whey protein, and then I though I might as well check with GNC Mira Mesa. I spoke to a gentleman and he said that the EAS protein is no longer available at the store, but I can special order. He took my name, phone number, and placed the order. He also gave me an ETA for the product to come in March 21, 2014. I stopped by to the store, and spoke to Hassan, and he said that he will call me back because the shipment just got in. I called Sat and Sun and I got the same message that they still need to check the shipment. I called today Monday March 24th, spoke to Adrian and Adrian said to call back in 10 minutes because they're system is down. I called back after 30 minutes and spoke to Milan. Milan took my number because the last time Milan was in the store was Thursday and has no clue what happen to order. 10 minutes later, Milan called back (at lease Milan called back). Milan then told me that there's no such thing as order in the system and what she has that came is in EAS individual serving packets. At leas Milan apologized, but this is after the fact that I told her about the run around time I spent since Friday. Will never go back to this store ever! read more
