I love this Sprouts! The staff is always so nice and friendly! The produce and meat always look beautiful and fresh. They always do a really good job with the produce that is starting to go bad by removing it from the shelf. The store is always clean and the bathrooms are clean, unlike other stores lol. The security guards also do a good job of making me feel safe when I've had an issue there. I have never had any issues with any of the employees; they are always super nice and friendly, so I'm not sure why people say otherwise. I know people over exaggerate and get offended so easily with things that make no sense because I have seen the way they approach and talk to the employees and they still get help but it's never good enough for them lol. Sometimes the parking lot is crazy, but it only takes a couple minutes to find parking. I've learned to avoid going certain times and days to avoid the parking wars.

She pointed out that they were running a special so I went with that instead on my usual It was a beef sandwich and was awesome. Che lout was not as pleasant. Self checkout had 1/4 lanes out of service. An employee was using another lane and she and the employee spent the entire time talking. The 3rd lane was a very old and slow person. So really only had 1 lane open. Took 10 times longer than needed.

It was nice to see prices for organic fruits and vegetables are comparable to other grocery stores. Parking can be horrible. Be prepared depending on day and time of day. Once inside, I haven't found the staff to be particularly helpful or attentive when assistance is needed. The deli section is another area that could use improvement. It often appears understocked, and the overall presentation can be messy compared to other locations. I recently ordered the Family Platter for $35, which is a great value for the price. However, one of the advertised benefits is the ability to customize your selections, and that can be difficult when many of the deli items are unavailable. The display case seems to be empty or lacking variety more often than not, which limits the customization options that are promoted. The convenience of this location is really the main reason I continue to visit. If it weren't the closest store to me, I would likely choose one of the other locations, which I have found to be better stocked, more organized, and overall more enjoyable to shop at.

Wow!! Now THIS is a top-notch Farmers Market (and I consider myself to be a Farmers Market…read moreconnoisseur). If you can get over the fact that parking is a nightmare (tip: get there early and use the free parking lot at the DMV) you'll love every second of your time here. We got there around 9:30am and were lucky enough to snag a spot at the aforementioned lot - about a 5 minute walk from the start of the market. From there, we took about 2 hours to fully explore, including a quick stop at a cute and affordably-priced vintage stop right off the vendors' booths. There is a huge variety of goods, mostly consumables with a few jewelry and handmade goods worked in. The vast majority of consumables booths had samples. I tried balsamic vinegars, loads of dips, some fresh fruit and tomatoes, bread, tempeh, you name it. I wasn't even hungry for lunch after going! If you aren't keen on samples, there are lots of prepared food booths for a full meal. Prices are reasonable. I bought a delicious Mediterranean 3 layer dip for $6 and my brother got a massive focaccia loaf for $10. The vendors were very friendly and helpful. Many (most?) also had business cards with shipping info if you're like me and have a full suitcase already. I would consider this market a must-visit if you find yourself in San Diego on a Sunday. Loved it!

Hillcrest Farmers Market (opened in April 1997) is San Diego's original and largest farmers market…read morewith over 175 vendors. [Hours]: Sunday (rain or shine) from 9 AM to 2 PM. [Parking]: Difficult parking situation, but I got really lucky and found a street parking spot near the intersection of Cleveland Ave and Richmond St at 9 AM. Apparently visitors can park for free at the DMV parking lot (3960 Normal St), but the lot fills up quickly so come early. According to the website, visitors can also park at the United States Postal Service parking lot at 3911 Cleveland Ave. [Amenities & vendors]: The farmers market does not accept EBT. The market takes up about three large blocks and visitors can find produce, gifts, arts and crafts, flowers, clothing, etc. Not many fruit stands offer samples, but other non-fruit food vendors do provide free samples. The market also has a solid food court including one vendor selling coconut pancakes (Coconut & Co. Thai Fusion). The coconut pancakes (aka khanom krok - $4 for 8 pieces) reminded me of the sticky rice from mango sticky rice and these pancakes were actually quite good. [Conclusion]: Our party only ended up staying for 30 minutes, but overall this is a great farmers market for anyone who's looking for solid one-stop food options and not necessarily looking for a produce-focused farmers market.
