They were hired to put up a very large swingset for my grandchildren. They called ahead of time to set up appointment and they were very nice to let us know it would be raining the day we chose. So we did let them come early to set up swingset. They were prompt very courteous and set it up great for us, well for the grandchildren. I want to stress this was a complicated one and they did a good job. I would not hesitate to use them again. I prepaid Backyard discovery for the assembly of a gazebo, they then subcontract out to GoCongifure to do the assembly. I was supposed to be contacted by GoConfigure after delivery of the gazebo - never happened. I have been calling GoConfigure for 10 straight days to get scheduled. The corporate office has twice tried to reach a technician with no answer, they have also escalated my complaint twice and I still have not been contacted. This company is a complete rip off and I wish I would have known that Backyard Discovery contracted them as the "installation contractor" and that I had read even a portion of the complaints. When you call the main number the recording states...thank you for contacting GoConfigure, the leader in .......they are a leader in nothing expect excuses and ignoring phone calls. The corporate office makes excuses like "well the techs are independent contractors" and "we escalated the ticket" etc. If you have contractors that you are dishing out jobs to, this makes them your employee's and you are responsible for the. Stop blaming your employees and start taking some responsibility for your company. If you call a "tech" and they don't answer, stop sending them jobs and above all, stop pointing a finger at them, this is GoConfigures responsibility as that was who was hired, not the contractor or the tech. read more

Worst decision Sam's Club made was partnering with this company. I've been working on delivery for a shed for almost 2 months now and even received a date for delivery once which, no surprise, wasn't acted on. If there was literally any other option I would take it. Update: The shed was delivered today after 2 full months. The Go Configure employees themselves were kind and did their best, but the delivery people they work with are completely unreliable. They missed 3 promised delivery dates before showing up. I had a terrible experience with this company, after paying I was told I will get a call, text and email. A whole month went by and I never received any feedback regarding my appointment. I start calling and was continued to be lied too. I told the rep if I did not receive an appointment date I was going to request a refund. I finally got date for someone to come out and assemble my gazebo. the day before my appointment I cleared everything from the area. I took off work only to be contacted by the tech the day of my appointment he have to cancel and reschedule. The tech contacted my husband which was the secondary # on the account, He stated not sure why they put him as the tech he was in west coast and not IL. I reached out to them, and was told they will call me back, They need to figure out what happen. Well I never got a call, so I called them and was told they couldn't get a hold of the tech. 3 hours later I called again the operator said yes the tech said he talked to you this morning he informed you he had to cancel, which was a lie!! He said he was not sure why they put him on schedule to do my assemble. I had a large BBQ grill delivered and set up.....I've set up plenty of grills in the past and thought what treat to have one delivered and set up for us! I just didnt know I'd have the large 5x5 box and wooden pallet left on my patio to deal with after. I'm in a small community and there is no place to put these items. My car is too small to haul away (again, why I wanted it delivered). Unfortunately I can't give a zero. Worst experience of my life. We bought a play set 5 months ago. Their employees put it together wrong and unsafe for my children or anyone to be on it. Their employees also threw our parts and tools in the garbage and threw their soda on top. Dug up my yard for no reason and it's a mess. 5 months later it's a safety hazard on my property that my husband and I have to keep my kids off of. With a lot of fussing and fighting with the company we still have not got this problem settled. It was a birthday present for my 4 kids and they can't even play on it yet it's there in my yard. Through many tears and frustration we have no resolution or compensation for this issue. We are so unhappy. No call no shows multiple times, last minute cancellation and showing up when not told. I can just say this. After all my worry wart anxiety, our beautiful, huge, heavy gas grill was delivered exactly at the time they said it would be. I was told between 10-2 via an automated call as well as an email from Becky the shift lead at ConFigure. Frank and his lovely assistant Nellie arrived at 11:30 (all the way from Sacramento!) They were polite and friendly and oh so efficient. What a team I tell ya:) Frank told me it would take about 90 minutes to assemble and it was quicker than that! They were meticulous and neat about making sure all the huge packaging was contained and moved it to the side of the house for me. He then showed me how to operate the thing, asked me where exactly I'd like it, and informed me of the warranty I didn't even know it comes with! Horrible experience, took a month to get our swing set installed. They canceled multiple times and we spent hours and hours on the phone. Some managers flat out refused to take our call. After spending about 3 hours on the phone the 3 or 4th time we called we finally got a manager that would help us. He was the only person to return our call and actually get the job done, but it was after we made a complaint to the better business bureau. After the installers left I was cleaning up all the trash and I found tons of hardware left over that they obviously tried to hide.... so many screws and nuts and bolts that look pretty important. I'm sure there was some extra but not as many were left over. It was enough to fill up a large Tupperware. I have no idea how this company is still in business. read more

I have call five times over the course of three weeks and, on each call, am told that I will receive a scheduling call within 48 hours. I finally was able to get a hold of someone the weekend before my equipment was to be delivered. I was told "someone will give you a call, email, text on Monday to schedule your appointment." The day comes for them to arrive between 12-4. At 12:30 I get a call that they have to cancel and reschedule for 3 weeks later. We bought a play structure and was told we would be contacted immediately to schedule a delivery. Nothing. Called weekly for four weeks and finally got info. The one day of delivery they left because the driver was at sans club picking up for 45 min and that's their max wait time. Then was told had to wait another 6 weeks. Cancelled the installation and did it myself and saved myself $800. They use independent contractors to assemble so be aware. Technicians were supposed to arrive today (1/27) between 10 am and 2 pm to assemble my bed. 2:30 pm rolls by and I hear nothing. I call the main Go Configure office, they call the main technician, and the technician supposedly says that they will pass by in an hour. 4:30 pm and still nothing. Between 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm, I call the main office at least 4 times. Each time, they leave a voicemail with the technicians, who apparently refuse to call the office back or call me directly. Now, apparently, they have to reschedule the assembly. This morning, we got rid of our bed frame, anticipating that the new one would be assembled today. Now, Go Configure has left us without a bed for tonight. The worst part- the technicians could have called us and told us that they wouldn't be able to arrive in the designated time window. They actually showed up fairly early which was great! They did take a very long time to build it. Atrocious quality of work and lack of follow up customer service - while they say they offer a 1 month warranty expect repeated failure to respond, failure to fix, or even acknowledge, problems. We hired Go Configure to put together a children's outdoor playhouse. They were great on the phone when booking the work and paying for it and terrible after that. The construction itself left various parts of the playhouse broken, screws used that were too long and so poked through the wood making for a sharp hazard for kids, many parts poorly attached, a lot of pieces not used and thrown in the trash etc. After a month of trying to get Go Configure to address issues we just had someone else fix what could be fixed instead. Great job on a Backyard Discovery playlet assembly. The two-man team arrived early and were efficient in getting the job done. The team was courteous and polite and answered all of my technical questions throughout the process. The assembly was completed in the time quoted. Go Configure was also very communicative in that our original install request was put in around New Year's (when we still had decent weather in Chicago). After it got cold out, they put our install request on hold since they are unable to provide the outdoor assembly service unless the temp is above 40* without precipitation. Go Configure was very responsible about calling me every two weeks with weather reports and updates regarding when they would be able to assign a team for the job. I had several appts and each time I kept getting cancelled on after my appt time. They are unreliable and the scheduling process makes absolutely no sense. After speaking with Adam he assured me that their company would do a good job. He did not disappoint! The customer service was impeccable, and I was able to get scheduled sooner than expected! The communication and coordination with Sam's Club was excellent. I even got my install moved up 4 days early due to inclement weather being forecasted on my scheduled date. We had a shed assembled from Home Depot last year, using their 3rd party assembly service, Go Configure. BEWARE and DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!!! They have had us going in circles for almost a YEAR to replace the roof they assembled incorrectly. They hire private workers to assemble the products, who have no idea what they are doing, nor does the company communicate with their assemblers - just twice this month the assemblers thought they were coming out for completely different jobs. I first contacted Go Configure 10/14/22, referred to me by Horizon Fitness machine. They required a $99.00 payment upfront, before even scheduling an appointment, which I paid. On 11/4/22 I received an email scheduling an appointment for 11/7/22 with 8:00-12:00 window. I accepted that appointment since I had waited more than 4 weeks to even get on their schedule. Technician Sam showed up. The walking belt was out of alignment and he did some minor adjustment to get it good enough. I had asked him to apply lubricant, but he didn't have any of the supplies to do so. He recommended I purchase a lubrication kit from Amazon and I could call to have him come back out. I ordered the kit. In the meantime after walking on the treadmill a couple of times it began making a rattling and rubbing noise, it hadn't ever made before. I called to have someone look at it because they supposedly warranted their work for 30 days and I called the following Monday 11/14. Again waited until 12/2 to finally get a follow up email appointment scheduled for 12/7 between 3:00 and 7:00. At 6:15 I get a call advising me that the technician isn't going to be able to come. She assured me that they would schedule a follow up appointment by end of business the following day. Here it is 12/16 and I haven't heard one word from them to schedule my appointment. So, I paid 99.00 for incomplete work and a non working treadmill as I don't want to risk walking on it and cause more damage. I would not recommend using this company, they provide horrible customer service. They have no problem taking your money upfront. I should have looked at reviews prior to calling them as it appears others have had the same experience. read more
