My 14 year old son is in Taekwondo and wanted to try Gymnastics. We were told he should start in the beginners class as a trial and see if he could move to the next level up. We thought, great! So we went back a few days later. What a joke. He is nearly 5'9 and was placed with kids about 2 feet tall. Which was fine until they all went on bars and whatever other equipment and my son couldn't hardly even participate because the equipments they put him on were basically for toddlers. My son asked if this was how it was supposed to be. The instructor said yes. I don't understand how an instructor would be able to determine if he had potential for the next level up if he wasn't even challenged. I suggest a better assessment program for new comers of different age and height. It was a complete waste of time for my son and I. Needless to say, we will not be returning. read more

We started our daughter here a little over a year ago and she has progressed from the toddler class up a few levels. My concern is that the teacher does not seem engaged with the students, nor does she appear happy to be there. I understand the difficulties in managing and paying attention to a class of 6+ children, but she seems frequently inattentive in correcting form or helping them. I am not sure if this level of class is intended to be more disciplined and less "fun," as subjective as that word is, but her mannerisms in engaging with the kids isn't very pleasant - hardly a smile or what seems like empathy. This wasn't the case in previous classes or instructors,but perhaps that's the dynamic in older, more disciplined, method-focused classes. Beyond the individual instructor, I have concerns about the facility itself. The parents are confined to a single parent room, which is overcrowded and sweltering despite the one fan. Outside of this one room, there aren't many seating options within the lobby. I understand that layouts can be an issue but there is no external access to the men's room, and the ladies' bathroom is not in the best shape, in need of several repairs. I want to like this place and I want my child to succeed, but my concerns make it hard to justify the costs. read more

My 6 year old and I walked in early morning talked to the receptionist got the weekly schedule and an idea of what kind of class she would start out in. We had our trial class the same day towards the evening time. She had a blast besides it being super hot and a little smelly we will be back next week. Hopefully the AC will be fixed and up and running again because it it's like this muggy, hot, smelly and over packed more often than we might reconsider. It was really uncomfortable sitting for an hour and twenty minutes on the side lines. Took my 2 year old here to try it out and talk about chaos. The little ones are put into a tiny room in the back. There were about 8 little ones the night we went. It's like the instructor expected the kids to just know how to do everything. Granted some kids have been there prior so they somewhat knew what they were doing. It was both of our first times at Go For It USA because this one is closer to where we both live and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this place! My son is 15 months and her twins are 17 months. If I could give ZERO stars I would... Look I'm not saying don't put your kid in this program all I'm saying is be prepared for the bs. The instructors seem uneducated and lazy and don't give off the energy that they love what they do. My biggest issue with this establishment is I've paid for a total of 13 sessions which is an equivalent of 1 year and 1 month a total of $1,508 dollars and why the tf my daughter don't even know how to do a backflip still? All my daughter knows how to do is a cartwheel? She basically just runs around this gym doing nothing but climbing a rope and these parents are content with this program not teaching these kids nothing basically because to them it's just convenient to drop their kid off to run around a gym for 2 hours once a week like some type of babysitting facility. I finally had enough of this scam of a place that tries to take all your money for every little thing and took my daughter out of this program. I'm determined to find something that is actually constructive and beneficial for my daughter. So upset I wasted a year's worth money on this place! read more

I started my daughter here last month. She loves it so far. I would have given 5 stars but the coaches dont interact with parents which is fine but my daughter is 5 and gets a little lost among the kids that have been there longer. There are too many kids in a class for one coach, I think. You pay $75 a month and a $50 yearly fee. I just wished there were more coaches so my daughter can learn more instead of waiting her turn for the coach to come and help here. Like I said we just joined so hopefully it gets better. Class sizes are getting a bit big for the boys, however, even under the increased class sizes I have watched the coaches remain professional and do their best to keep kids engaged and learning proper techniques and exercises. I will say, Coach E is our favorite. He does a phenomenal job connecting and engaging with the young kids. I can't get a hold of anyone. Emails not being returned and reaching them via phone is proving to be impossible. The Google phone #, and their own website's number will ring once and then disconnects. The number listed on Yelp tells you "no one is available to take your call" and hangs up on you. I also emailed them about a month ago requesting information about birthday parties, and no one ever returned my call. Very unprofessional. My daughter has been with Go For It USA for three years now. The gym has become our second home! Lisa from the front desk is always so gracious and helpful. She makes communication and payments easy accessible for me through email which is extremely helpful when you're a busy mom of 3! The communication and accountability from the coaches is great too ! The gym has really helped my daughter strengthen her sportsmanship. The pricing for the practice teams are super affordable if you're looking to get your littles into an activity. This review is based on observing my daughter's class in the 'firecrackers' group... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR 'FIRST TIMERS' OR INEXPERIENCED TODDLERS. How class goes; there are two instructors per class. One instructor gives a quick demonstration giving them instructions what to do on the equipment at each station. The kids chose which station they want to start at and then they rotate from station to station. What I've been seeing; all the kids are at different skill levels, different heights, different ages, and some are better at following directions than others. While some of the children are able and capable of maneuvering around the equipment themselves other children who are too little or inexperienced end up waiting around until either A. The instructors finally make their way to helping a different station, B. a kid gets impatient and has to ask the instructor for help or C. The child gets bored and starts wandering around and doing whatever they please, getting in the way of the other kids. Let me be honest and say, my daughter was definitely 'C'. She is too short to reach most of the equipment on her own, she is also inexperienced in gymnastics and she has a high energy level with very little attention span. Throughout most of class she was waiting around for help, get bored and do her own thing ultimately getting in the way of everyone else. Several times neither of the instructors noticed that she walked away to another class or was off in a corner away from everyone just playing by herself. The instructors neglect in engaging with the children. All I have seen them do is spot the children on the equipment. They do not have any kind of activities for the children to do together as a class, they do nothing to make their learning experience a fun experience. I'm not trying to tell anyone how to do their jobs but perhaps it could be beneficial to divide the kids into two groups, one group per instructor and start at two different stations rotating together, keeping the kids into two groups instead of four-five. Maybe that way the kids can each possibly get more attention from the instructor and even be kept an eye on more easily. I don't know if it would work, but its a suggestion...they definitely need to rethink what they can do to better organize the class as a whole and better engage the kids, it would be appreciated for them to evaluate what they can do to maximize the services they are being paid for. I absolutely did not respect one of the instructors putting my daughter on a time out during a class. He said she was too hyper and he didn't want she or any of the kids to get hurt so he put her on a time out to calm down. I understand that he was thinking of their safety BUT I didn't believe a time out was fair because honestly if they had been paying more attention they would have noticed her standing in line waiting to be helped for almost 10mins before she decided to have free play. And each time she went to another station she would wait for so long before getting bored. Can you blame her (or any other kid) she's only 4, five minutes to them is equivalent to 30-60 minutes. I am not upset about the time out itself, I do believe in discipline, I care that she got put in time out for entertaining herself due to the lack or organization by the instructors. Truthfully the class looks like 'free play' being monitored by instructors who only help them on the equipment...after they wait and wait and wait until one of them are available. They could improve their class by adding activities and games that relate to gymnastics and can help bring the class together as a whole. Also...I can't stress this enough...the instructors really need to engage with the children rather than just "spotting" them on the equipment. Fortunately I used a Groupon deal before deciding to register for regular classes. She has one more class to complete and then we will be looking into other gymnastic businesses. I am exceptionally disappointed with the experience my daughter has had with this company. Fortunately she is only 4 so she doesn't know the difference, but she will absolutely not be returning. read more

Worst meet we have ever been to in 5 years. They didn't provide nearly enough seating, the lighting was horrible and visibility of the gymnasts was a joke. They told me they were bringing more bleachers out for the event (since 1/2 of us are standing) and never did. I'm hopeful we won't have to come back here again this year. read more

This gym is huge! It amazes me how many kids can all be in class at once. The recreation program is signed much fun for these kids to be able to gain skills in balance and listening/following directions. The team program is growing with the amazing new coaches that have come in; my 10 year old has never been happier on a team. As for the meets they hold it is the largest venue I have been to. The score board is great that it shows the athlete's name and score, the concessions has real food which is a nice change. We are here to stay. read more

In the past year my kids have had 4 different instructors for the same class, same time, same day..and each kid is in a different class so, can imagine the turn over? No consistency. I watch, and I watch.. as I have for a year... and my observation and tone that I am feeling is this: one of my kiddos isn't the best at coordination and is on the heavier side (5 yrs old) which is why I wanted to involve them and get them to get up and move. What I've notice in regular classes and especially during make up classes is the instuctors only show real attention and focus to the ones they know will come back and pay or if they have paid to be on a team or if they know the family from having been a client before or it's -who you know-not what you know or if the child looks like they have possible potiential.. which leaves many of the other little kids on their own, it feels just for liability reasons/proposes that they occasionally go to the underdog kid or the kids thats just there have an activity or to check or explain so they don't hurt them selves; but at 5 yrs old what sense of direction do you have when you are told to rotate on an exercise and the instrutor is showing or helping the other students and doesn't help you or connect with each and every student. And if your a student/child that just comes 1 x's a week (because really that what I can afford) verses one that comes several times a week, forget about it!!! you can see and feel the difference in how the child; even the family is treated. Its also funny that the team (verses the fun activities classes) start on time and some times run late yet the other regular public classes often times start late and end early but you'll pay for the whole hour & 20 mins. If you go thru some of the other reviews they say this is not the place to bring a beginner but how the heck can you get advanced or discover ..that is what your kid likes or is into; if they don't work well with the beginners... everybody has to start from some where, including them.. the forgot about foundation of Basic and the culturing and encourage ALL little minds and hearts not just who they want and choose...also there is too much talking amongst all the teachers on floor time, thats my money paying for them to talk and not teach my kid. I decided before leaving a review that it was important that we went to a few classes first, our daughter started it go for it as young as possible which is 14 months old. We put her in gymnastics because she would do somersaults also technically referred to as rollovers quite frequently at home by herself and we wanted to encourage her fire but also encourage it in a safe environment, around trained professionals. She is enrolled in what is referred to as my buddy and me, a class for parents and kiddos together until she's around 3. You can tell by their level of accuracy, attention, and smiling faces when you walk through the door that this Gym has instructed hundreds of aspiring gymnasts since it has been opened and though an older building it's huge, great equipment, and fun family atmosphere in the waiting room with other parents and family members. Our favorite teacher is Ms. Dana, mainly because for our little one to be often the youngest in the class, she's pretty encouraging with all of the students and helps us to understand a healthy gauge of what she should be able to accomplish around her age and how we can help her, all I can say is any feeling of nervousness or apprehension putting our young child in gymnastics was washed away when we met her and that's worth it. I personally couldn't say one thing I dislike about this gym, all the teachers are great and all offer something new and fun to bring to the table. If I was looking for a good start when it comes to gymnastics in the northwest or north Las Vegas side of town, this would be it. read more
