My son essentially worked there, made them a good portion of their sign ups and was verbally abused by one of the employees who ironically no longer works there because he was extended more than their "3 strikes you're out" rule. Mr. C and Ms. Pedro are great people. Anyone else has no business being around children or being in charge of who is allowed to be around children or is delusional about who they are working for. They teach their employees car salesman techniques to sell memberships and the goal is for you not to leave without purchasing something. My son loved to compete in the ATA tournaments and because ATA hates Victory, Victory began making people buy new uniforms and weapons that were not ATA, like equipment wasn't expensive enough. read more

They didn't even say anything about the cost of gear and how it "can only be their brand" until AFTER you sign the contract and pay for it LMAO Let's not even talk about how PACKED the classes are which makes sense since all they care about is money. Definitely not training motivated. As someone who did karate for 13 years, this place is disgusting with the lack of guidance. They have KIDS as black belts like huh? My sensei would be appalled. We are beyond impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the staff at this location. Our family regularly goes to Lake Mead : Tenaya location for classes. We came to Sky Point for a Black Belt test.. and the we are very impressed with the size and function of the facility. It's easy to get in/out as well as have multiple activities going on and not feeling overwhelmed with noise/movement. Great Job ATA family, we will be back for more! read more

My kids (ages 3 and 4) have been attending Victory Martial Art's Tiny Tiger program now for a couple of months and they absolutely love it. We found Victory Martial Arts through a promo they were running on Facebook. When we attended, it happened to be during one of the Tiny Tiger programs itself so I was able to see how professional and engaging the teachers are as well as how well behaved the kids are. Obviously they are at the age where their attention wanders, and while my kids are very guilty of this, the instructors and their student helpers are fantastic with reengaging them. My children are learning life skills, like defense against strangers, respect, as well as gaining self confidence all wrapped up in a fun environment that they look forward to coming to every week. It's also a bonus - the Tiny Tigers program has a class every day of the week so if I needed to switch our schedule around - I absolutely can. Which really works out well for our busy family. If your kid goes to another studio that does their form in a right handed stance, do not sign up for the bootcamp here. They do it left handed and one week is not long enough IMO to train a different way after doing it the other way for a kid for more than a year. Also during the boot camp they never mentioned anything that my child needed to improve on to me and failed him at the end. I would have been more than happy to work with my kid on whatever they thought he needed. Bad experience for our family doing a summer camp here. read more

I purchased a Groupon for a month to learn self defense. I took the Krav Maga class and loved it! I was so excited to go back but injured my back a few days later. This place has been such a huge blessing for us, I am beyond grateful we found it. After being in lockdown due to the pandemic, my 3 year old had become extremely shy, and scared of people. Since the very first day I got a great vibe from the staff, so decided to give it a try. My daughter was so scared to go, but Mr. Rivas gave her all the time and attention so she wouldn't feel intimidated by so many people, he kept giving her stickers to make her feel engaged and recognize any little accomplishment she had, which was huge for her she was beyond excited to get a sticker from him. Fast forward 4 months and Sophie is another child, it honestly makes me want to cry every time I see her doing all this things, participating, being loud, I didn't see that happening before, as a matter of fact I thought I should pull her out after like a month because she was so lost and didn't seem to love it but after that second month is when I really saw the changes, now she absolutely loves it. I would like to specially thank Mr. Rivas, he's such a wonderful young man, he 100% knows what he's doing, he's sweet to all the children, he's funny, and always makes the kids feel special. I'm not sure he knows the huge impact he makes in children's life but he's truly amazing. Mr.C is another wonderful man, he's so professional, and dedicated, I've never seen anything like it before. He respects the kids, and he has so much passion for what he does, he's very strict in a the nicest way, teaches the kids discipline, respect, and self confidence. I can't recommend this place enough, sorry for the long review but this place has changed my child's life, and I'm sure it can change yours too. Our teens have been going to Victory Skypointe for 2 years and both have achieved black belts. Including one approaching her 2nd degree and on the Demo team. The structure and motivation is exceptional. Mr. C is encouraging and engages with the students while pushing you to your maximum potential. Ms. Carter is responsive to the needs of the students as well as the parents. I am there 3-5 days a week and its always clean with ample space to workout. Including a smaller studio for Krav maga classes. Taekwondo is not a cheap sport. Similar to hockey you have to buy gear and weapons - on top of tuition. It is a commitment that we make to ourselves and our kids to be healthier mentally and physically. Read your contract and be aware that if you aren't ready to commit, you can also do monthly classes without a contract. There are several Victory schools in Las Vegas, each with their own characteristics. For us, Victory at SkyPointe is worth every penny for the return I see in my kids athleticism and accomplishments. We have been going to Victory now for 3 months. My daughter started in "Tiny Tigers" and is now in "Beginners." She enjoys her classes & the instructors are great! I still consider myself fairly new to the studio. My husband and I are still trying to figure everything out. For example, like when she should test and when she is ready to do tournaments if she wanted to. The only thing that was a shock to me was the cost. I had no idea martial arts was so expensive. From what I have heard, martial arts is expensive across the board whether you are going to a franchise studio or independently owned. We believe in what Victory is trying to teach the children. We just hope that we can continue on with her classes for the long haul. read more

One good thing about this place, & there isn't much, are the instructors, Mr C & Ms Pedro. If it weren't for them, we would have never signed our kids up. Mr C is patient & you can see that he truly cares about his students. Ms Pedro is very good with children. There are a couple things wrong with this place, but let me start at the top... The "director" of this school, Ms Carter, is one of the greediest humans you will ever meet. She will try to squeeze every cent out of you EVERY chance she gets. She has no interest in the children or their well-being, only how deep their parents pockets are. She walks around like she is all knowing, but is so disorganized & most of the time can't answer any questions you have. She FLOODS your email with information on how to sign up for things to spend more money there, but can't reply to any emails if you have any questions or need assistance. The training itself is mediocre as far as martial arts is concerned. If you're looking for true martial arts, you definitely will not find it here. It's more self-defense based. Victory itself isn't terrible, but I strongly advise you avoid any school that Ms Carter is in charge of. read more

My daughter has been doing classes at Victory Sky Pointe for a year now and it has been amazing! She has learned to be more confident, push herself outside her comfortable zone, and concentrate on tasks at hand. When COVID hit, they quickly adapted and brought the kids some normalcy through Zoom in their own homes. They continue to help parents during the pandemic by offering day camp to while parents work and help the kids get logged into their online classes and help them when needed. My daughter loves her day camp and taekwondo classes. Mr. C and Ms. Pedro are great with the kids and you can tell they really love what they do. Mrs. Carter, the director, is dedicated and helpful! Even when my daughter goes out of town to her father's house, she pauses our time so I don't lose the money I paid. Very willing to be accommodating to your families needs. My son has grown so much because of all the support we get from the staff. Mr.C is an incredible instructor, along with Ms. Pedro. Ms. Carter is wonderful, she has the kids best interest in mind, she is NOT all about digging in your pocket book, we do joke though..... martial arts can be expensive indeed, the students require equipment, and uniforms, and news flash, kids grow!!!! I can't have people reading negative comments about my favorite group of people, if you take the time, you would see we are all one big family, Ms. Carter is so involved and is always planning family events, and goes above and beyond to make it a fun experience for the whole family. This is one of the several Victory Martial Arts locations in Las Vegas, and it's the newest. My family and I train at one of the other Victory locations here in town, and love it when we get to come to Sky Pointe for various training events. This facility has ample mat space, a separate and smaller training room, a couple of bathrooms and (as always), amazing instructors. The Chief Instructor, Mr. Guatemala, is fantastic with kids and adults. (Speaking from experience--several years ago, he helped me get through a problem I was having with one of my board breaks when it seems no one else could). I don't know how Victory does it, but they seem to have incredible talent at each of the schools, and then the combined team of instructors in Las Vegas is even greater than the sum of the parts. Mr. Guatemala and his instructors at Sky Pointe set an environment for a truly awesome school, and they're a big part of what makes Victory Las Vegas such an positive experience. By the way, one of the thing we love about Victory Sky Pointe and all the Victory Martial Arts schools here in Las Vegas is the family of friends it creates. Outside of the military, I've never seen such a close and caring group of people tied together by a shared passion--adults, kids, everyone. Great studio. Ms Carter is very up front and honest about the program and it's options. She makes sure you know all options available to you - and you can choose what you're most comfortable with. They offer month to month programs, 7 month options, and one year options. They have a once a week program, or 2-3 times a week, and other options too. The price options vary depending on your commitment length and class attendance, saving more if you're okay with a longer commitment or if you want less days. I am grateful and Carter explains all of this so you can choose what you want. They even offer a two week trial for only $20 if your aren't sure which commitment right away. The starting out equipment isn't bad either! They only ask for hand pads and foot pads to start in the first year, and belt testings are included in tuition. They offer optional affordable camps, free parents night out, and other cool community events. I read reviews about feeling bombarded with messages, but I like how much the studio keeps me in the loop of what's going on. I can tell Ms Carter really cares. The instructor is great too! He's a 4th Degree Black Belt and certified instructor, who has been teaching for years. You has a great commanding presence, so he helps the kids be disciplined, but he also makes sure they have fun. He even fought in a local MMA tournament and won! So many families from the studio showed up to support him, it was really cool to see. You can tell he has a passion for martial arts, and helping the kids fall in love with it too. He educated the parents that the beginner levels aren't too critiqued because they're learning the foundation of listening and basics of martial arts before rushing into only memorization or the instructor turning them off from martial arts altogether by being too hard on the kids too early. They have a great team of assistant instructors there to help with the group classes, or even mini private lessons if your child needs a little extra help. I love this studio, the staff, and the families. Some classes are a bit full, but I don't mind it because of the positive atmosphere and family environment.
