Ashley is extremely knowledgeable and is always willing to answer questions, offer advice, and share her expertise. The facility is always clean and well kept, with plenty of play equipment and multiple bowls of fresh water available. One of my favorite things about Sitting Pretty is how much outdoor time the dogs get. They have a beautiful turf area where they can run, play ball, and socialize. I'm so grateful we found this hidden gem and a place where I genuinely feel comfortable leaving my dog. Seeing how excited he is to go and how happy he is when I pick him up says everything. When I first came here, it was $45/day and a complimentary bath if the dog stayed there for more than five days. It's now very difficult to get a response when inquiring about availability. And, it appears the neighborhood is changing, and not for the better. In the past, the neighbors would shoot off fireworks on the weekends immediately before, during, and after July 4th. Now, it seems to be a regular occurrence. Many dogs cower with fireworks, and my Black Lab is no exception. I was supposed to pick up my dog tomorrow morning. Fortuitously, I came back a day earlier because my luggage was stolen. So, when I called about when to pick up my dog tomorrow, I was told about my dog's experience with the fireworks. I ended up having to pick him up this evening. Traveling these days is especially stressful, and I don't need the additional stress of worrying about a beloved pet. I never did before when I boarded my dog here, but I have over the last 3 times. I had been too busy to research another venue. But, now, I'm proactively going to find another establishment. In short, now, you can expect delayed responses on inquiries, multiple expectations on when YOU can show up to drop off or pick up your dog, and a equivocation on what they will and will not provide. On the other hand, bills for service-- although often error-probed-- are delivered with stunning alacrity. It pains me to write this review. Nevertheless, I have seen a huge decline in the service that precipitated 2-3 years ago while the prices continued to rise. (To wit, look at reviews that have been 5-9 years ago, and those within the past 3 years. Something has changed.) The constant firework explosions in the neighborhood only add to further disappointment. Alas, as George Harrison once sang, "all things must pass."

This early year they accidentally cut my dog's nail too short and caused my dog bleeding. Here are what I am very unsatisfied about. 1. They didn't notice me that my dog is injured from her toe nail when we picked her up. I found out her nail was bleeding by seeing blood on the floor in my house after my dog got home from the Pink Pucci. 2. I called to tell them about this. Asking if the groomer trim or cut her nail. They didn't give me a yes or no answer. Only said maybe. 3. I asked what can they do with this situation. They didn't know what to do and didn't offer any refund. So I asked if we can get refund and if there is a vet bill can they pay for it, then the guy in the phone said okay. So they did issue a refund of the grooming fee. During this phone call process I was being very polite. I said if you injured my dog then it's common sense you have to do something to compensate me. We love going to your place and will continue go. 4. Because I believe it was just an accident and since my dog has been used to go there, I called them again for another grooming appointment. But the front desk lady kept on telling me there is no availability for my dog to go and would call me back later after she check for availability, but they never called me back. I called them many times during their business hours and even left a voice message, still, no one call me back. From this experience I realized these are their problems 1. No any policy of any kind of injury happened during their service for customers. They seem do not have any insurance cover any in store injury compensation. 2. Lack of professional customer training. The front desk people does not know how to deal or talk to customers when any injuries happened of the dogs in their care. 3. The grooming process is not transparent. As the customer we do not know who is actually grooming our dogs. The grooming progress is all behind the glass of back side of the store where we see nothing of what they do.

And it takes something special for us to feel like we can let someone new into our home and watch our babies. Teri and her daughter Tera fit the bill exactly. They ended up staying way longer than they probably had anticipated during the pre-visit (when they first got to meet our cats) because they were both so easy to talk to and they had the patience to wait for our cats to get brave enough to come out of hiding and meet them. We received pictures on Facebook which helped us feel like our babies were being well cared for while we were away, we got a little day-by-day summary of how each one did for us to read when we came back, and we were given their personal cell numbers in case we needed anything. Seriously, it doesn't get any better than these fantastic pet lovers. And their rates can't be beat. Teri, me, & dog did a quick meet before she started and my dog took to her immediately. Any special requests like eye drops or vitamins, Teri is very helpful in doing that too. It's nice to come home to notes to update on what they did during her visit and seeing (reading) how my dog settled into having Teri around by doing all the silly things she does makes me smile. Our dog is our baby and it's a great peace of mind to find someone who is trustworthy (she has key to the house) and LOVES my dog as much as we do is truly priceless.

I brought my pug, Chloe, in on Thursday 4/23 at 4pm. I've used their $80 grooming service three times prior with no issues. This visit was a completely different experience. I was told the service would take about 50 minutes. When I arrived, the groomer was still not finished, and I waited an additional ~20 minutes. The groomer (I believe his name was Drew) explained that he had cut one of Chloe's nails too short, which caused it to bleed for an extended period. I was obviously concerned, but still paid and left a tip and left. Since that visit, Chloe has developed multiple bumps across her body that appear to be a reaction to the products used. She has been extremely itchy, reluctant to walk, and has had a decreased appetite. This has been ongoing for several days. I reached out to the business to address this, especially as some of the bumps began to look worse. Despite explaining the situation, they declined to take any responsibility. I was also told they rotate between different grooming products depending on the groomer, which was concerning given that Chloe had no issues during her previous visits. I explained that I may need to take her to the vet due to the severity of her symptoms and that I didn't feel comfortable covering both the grooming cost and potential vet expenses given the outcome. Their response was that they would not provide a refund and the only thing offered was to return the $10 tip. Based on the other negative reviews, it appears that the owner is hard to work with and also lacks accountability. If you look at the attached screenshots, i still decided to disengage when she mentioned she was expecting. Regardless, she should have delegated her business to someone else while she is going through something extremely important while instead coming off as dismissive and lacking empathy. I'm very disappointed with how this was handled. Additionally, it took multiple days to confirm my appointment, and I had to follow up the day before to ensure it was still scheduled. Based on this experience, I would not return. Take a look at the screenshots and you be the judge.
