I purchased a complete solar system through this GoGreenSolar. I chose GGS to purchase my system because they had a particular system (Solaredge Storedge with battery backup) that would be perfect for my needs and give the flexibility of being off grid or on grid when needed. I built a tiny house on a trailer so it was difficult to find a company to work with me on my situation or find reasonable financing for an off grid system (Tesla wouldn't sell me a wall battery because of this). Mr. Patel's team at GGS were very helpful in understanding my situation and building me a system that I could install myself and configure to meet permitting and safety requirements. I have basic electrical understanding like roughing in circuits, installing outlets and sub-panel setup, but the schematics and paperwork the GoGreenSolar team handled for me. After 4 solid days of work I had the system installed and ready to go. But I had an issue--everything was communicating, but the voltage from the array wasn't correct and no PV production. I called the support team and Dave stayed on the phone with me for an hour walking through the possible reasons. Embarrassing to say here, but we discovered that I had placed the negative conductor from the array in the secondary positive terminal... (meant for a second string of panels)... That should speak to the quality, safety and resilience of the equipment GoGreenSolar sells and how a newbie like myself has some greatly appreciated room for error when installing solar. It has been a week and I am very happy with the performance and monitoring tools of the system. The system production offsets most of my electricity bill and even the monthly payments are lower than what my bill was before. I have even turned the grid connection off for three days in a row, the panels and battery sustained my usage. You might be asking, "Why does a tiny house need a system this big???". Everything in my house is electric and my toilet is an electric incinerating toilet, even my motorcycle is electric. I also want to find land to homestead on and build another tiny house on wheels. This system will allow me to add on easily and even get another battery to run in parallel to power a few tiny homes should I get to that point. There is so much hype in the solar retail and regulatory sector, its hard to know who/what to believe. I went down a lot of blind alleys. HOWEVER, its necessary to be DETERMINED! In Sept of 2019 (after a lot of research) I finally bit the bullet and bought a Residential Grid-tied 3.78kw Solar Kit w/ Battery Backup from WholeSaleSolar (Heavy on "Sales", Light on "Service"). Out of the box: OutbackSolar-Radian Inverter/ Controller / Combiner, Mission Solar panels w IronRidge Rack, Full River battery bank, etc. Right away just reading through DIY instructions I could tell that installing it myself (non electrician) with no OutbackSolar specific experience was out of the question. Turns out, now that everything is wired up and in final commission mode, OutbackSolar really does sell high quality equipment AND it has taken a high quality installer (who prefers to work with Outback equipment) to get it right. The first licensed solar and trade electrician I used got most of the system installed but came up short of a part and had no prior experience with wiring in the pre-wired Radian box with battery back-up. WSS gave me the run around so I went directly to Outback Solar (Chris@Tech Support is great!) and they sent me the missing part, eventually. Found another solar electrician who had installed Outback Solar systems (only it turns out, after a disagreement with Outback more than 10 years ago, he no longer did so). So at that point (last Feb) I'm into this thing for more than $22K and at best its just hanging on my roof and walls....I needed hands-on, certified support to get the job done. I talked to John Davis @ Go Green Solar with a tip from Aaron Schroeder, Independent Solar Electric, Brownsville, CA. John voluntarily listened to my tale of woe and agreed with Aaron on a very significant plan change that would improve the PGnE Interconnection paired storage: Triple Mode Ops (TMO). That change was simple and saved us $1200 and gave us more operational flexibility. When I found the web-site for gogreensolar I was very interested in the fact that a PV system was available as a DIY (Do it yourself) kit. After studying all the information available and also being of the age of 64 years old I decided to go with a backyard ground mount PV solar panel system. I did all of the initial permitting myself then proceeded to purchase a 9.2 kW system offered by gogreensolar. Other than a few parts issues that were quickly resolved I can say honestly say that this system is complete and can almost be totally assembled by one person. The areas that I needed help with was the mixing and pouring of cement along with setting the vertical support posts and the placement of the 21 foot 2 inch galvanized pipe. Everything else was constructed, secured and torque by me. I received my solar panel parts order on 5/3/2016 and was granted interconnect approval on 6/2/2016 so I constructed it, completed the necessary inspections and received power on approval in a month's period of time. One construction note though; I dug the holes, purchased the 2 inch galvanized pipe locally and did the cement work prior to the arrival of the solar panel kit. I just wanted to make clear that the overall project, in my case, was actually longer than one month. I figured I saved at least $10,000 in construct costs. To me, as a retiree, that's a substantial savings. I asked Steve F. early on what GoGreenSolar offered me other than Photo Voltaic (PV) hardware, which frankly can be ordered from any number of websites. Steve said GGS would provide advice and support throughout the entire process, from procurement to grid tie-in. This includes hardware, local authority permits, and contractual agreements wit the local utility. Steve's right. Everyone at GGS delivered the hardware and software professionally, on time and on target. My ground mount installation is in a remote part of Texas, where there is virtually no local experience with PV procurement, installation, and contractual supply agreement with the local electric co-op. GGS took care of everything but the physical installation. All of my questions and concerns were answered by GGS staff immediately. This 8kW project was my first experience with PV. My advice for anyone who takes on a project regardless of the size, is to ask questions and listen closely to the solutions offered by GGS staff. Doing the mechanical installation myself (I hired a local electrician to do the grid tie-in) saved me over $5000, and I found it to be trouble free by following GGS staff advice.. Whether you do your own assembly, or farm it out as a turnkey installation (this was not an option for me), having GGS on your side will help ensure that your project is a success. Installing a solar panel system on my home has been a plan for several years now,. I have done a lot of research into many companies across the country and looked into several technologies and watched the tech. Improve over the last several years. We are a small church in Southern California, one of our people had done his own solar project and felt that we could do it too.Initially we bought our system from Unbound Solar before the NEM 2.0 cutoff, but after the change in the rules Unbound closed. GoGreen picked up the ball at this point, Josh called and explained the situation and said that he would be there for us and get us to the finish line. And he did just that! We had some issues with our city, and some issues with Southern California Edison. Our city engineer wanted load calcs for the roof we were going to use, which we could not produce. We had to go to plan "B". Josh got us new engineered drawings that the city approved for other locations on our project. We ran into some issues with SCE also, which Josh was able to walk us through. Our project took over 2 years start to finish, mostly because it was considered a commercial project and had different requirements than that of a residential. Excellent service from beginning to end. GoGreenSolar doesn't just sell solar products, they help you every step of the way to purchase, design, install, and power up your solar system. They start with a thorough examination of your power usage to determine system size. Then they do a site survey including checking main electrical panel capacity to design your system. GoGreenSolar handled the interconnection to the PG&E grid, all I had to do was sign the documents. They did the plans for my permit that made dealing with the building department a breeze. The plans included many installation guides including: marking out the solar array, mounting the rails, installing a J-Box (for the solar array wiring), and installing conduit runs. With there support I installed my system one year ago I put in a 32 panel ground mount it took me 56 hours by myself most of that time was digging holes and a 212 ft trench to the house I studied solar and companies for 3 years before going with go green during installation they answered all my question immediately .
