Great experience for a kid's bday party! When I called to make arrangements, I spoke to Angelina and she was super helpful and professional. Likewise, our party host Jasmine was amazing. She was attentive, friendly, and on top of every detail which made the party go smoothly. I was also impressed with all the employees who were in charge of the tracks. Every single one was so helpful, polite, and super hardworking. I really, really appreciated how they were extremely conscientious about safety. Parking was a breeze. Plenty of spots along Recreation Road. So convenient. And I liked how they allowed us to store an ice cream cake in their freezer...many places don't allow that. My kid, a huge Baskin-Robbins fan, was so thrilled about that. There is a Baskin-Robbins store close to Go-Kart World, btw (on Avalon Blvd). So easy to just pick up a cake and bring it to the party w/o worrying about the ice cream melting:) The kids (and parents) had a blast. But it was all the employees that I was truly most impressed with (including all the staff at the ticket counter). I don't get all the negative reviews about the rude staff here. We didn't experience that at all. Tip: I think (in general) if a customer is polite and gracious toward employees, it can go a long way. One usually reaps what they sow... Thank you everyone at Go-Kart World! You were all excellent. Note: you do breathe in a lot of exhaust fumes here. Many of the arcade games didn't work. And the whole place is a bit run down. None of this bothered me, though. Everyone had such a great time that these things were mostly trivial. I do recommend that if you go for a kid's party and have the chance to ride the karts, do it! Took my son & nephew to celebrate my sons 12th birthday. It was our first time here and They had an amazing time. We will definitely be back again... On the downside I would suggest adding a smoking section away from kids (like my son that has asthma) and non smokers. That would have gained the extra 2 stars. read more

Go Kart World is a smallish amusement park focused on go karts with 3 tracks and a small bumper cars ring focused on smaller children. My 6 year old niece was able to driver her own bumper car while she has to ride with me on the go karts. This place is effectively run with lines moving reasonably fast. The tracks are not huge but also not small and they have up and down slopes with tight turns. I would recommend this as an option for families or even a fun date night. read more

I am giving a five star review as my expectations were pretty low based on the other reviews. It is an outdoor Go-Kart place PEOPLE, right next to the 405 freeway; not a new pristine, indoor facility. We were there for a Birthday party for our 5 year old grandson, pizza was good, and party staff were excellent and cared about our comfort and happiness. Bathrooms were clean. Ride operators were patient. We did not get to enjoy the indoor games, but saw people using them. I would not hesitate to go again. The park has 6 track but 2 of the tracks have FAST cars just for adults and regular cars for lots of fun ... Go to the big track and ride the euro cars. They are WAY FUN. Those cars require a helmet . Track is pretty technical plenty of room for passing. The slick track other cars two they are a little hidden so you have to ask for them . Came here with girlfriend and our two kids and we had a good experience. Place was fun and I felt the business enforce good practices during phase 1 of the emergency recovery. Everyone one was wearing a face mask and they check your temperature before letting you in and provide disposable gloves. What I like is that they let our kids ride with us as passengers on the big tracks, because they didn't meet the height requirement to ride alone. But that's okay because they're just 6 and 4 and they enjoyed the races. We were able to ride on 5 tracks for 100$ which seems fair to me. Overall, fun place for what it is and the kids love it. Go Kart World is FUN. with 4-6 tracks for kids and adults there is something for everyone with good variety of racing styles and speeds. The slick track go carts slide out on the short turns. The turbo seems really fast because it's only two lanes wide. The long track is used for full speed adult racing. Birthday parties, video games etc. It's a little run down and dirty cars but the price is fair, reasonable and it's hard not to smile wide often. There are longer lines on the weekend. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT COME HERE!!! From other reviews you know it's a pretty shitty place: old and outdated, dirty, and etc... but if that wasn't enough, the customer service is TERRIBLE!!! A man, supposedly a manager, named Jesus began an extremely rude conversation with: "It's too late to let you ride". Mind you, at this point we're standing off to the side and not even speaking to him. He then follows to harass my sister by telling her there's no way he can let her ride the karts, and it's too late to do it today because they "have cameras and insurance had already seen it". All of this, because she had a previously broken finger (which happened over a year and half ago) and had a splint on it to try and slowly help bring it back to a straight position.. all part of her finger REHABILITATION. He gave her NO opportunity to explain what it was, and kept raising his voice, interrupting her and rudely repeating over and over that "It was too late" (what?!). She tried reminding him of the CONTRACT we had JUST SIGNED, which took all liability off of the company in case of an injury. (Does he even know about the contract?!) In disbelief of this man's manners, terrible customer service, and aggressive demeanor, we let him know we'd be leaving because we couldn't be at a place where that's how the manager treats his customer. To which he replied with: "I'm not being rude", "This is my tone of voice, and it won't change"... obviously still not understanding his manners are utterly unacceptable. Found a Groupon for this place, so i decided to take my 5 year old. He had the best time. We happen to show up when they just opened on a sunday, and it was dead. We had the whole place to ourselves the whole time we were there.. Lots of different sections of go kart. Small children section, and then for older kids and adults. There was also an arcade area that was fun. they had a number car section as well. I don't think my son was the only one having fun.. Mommy also loved to drive the cars:).. The lines are very long to get on one ride and once we got on it wasn't even worth it. The customer service is pretty good and the rides go for a long time but what really ruins it is the waiting. Plus the breaks are kind of broken on some of the rides. read more

Finally went to this go kart place I've seen off the freeway for years. A caring, friendly staff that just seemed bored. Clean enough for a place that is adjacent to the freeway, but could definitely use a refresh. Ample parking, and easy access. I didn't try the food. The main reason people come here is for the karts. I'm very tall, so I have fitment issues anytime I'm in a public karting place. I've learned to deal with it. But the karts. We drove the Slick Track, the Turbo Karts and the Super Track. Shredded seatbelts, non functioning adjusters, and poorly maintained steering, brakes and engines were the order of the day. Seriously, I could barely steer my cart on our second try at the Super Track. The toe was so far off, that a slight turn to the left severely flung the car to the left, and it would almost not turn right at all! The first run at the Super Track, and my kart had no power! I got lapped twice! The operator (Jesus) acknowledged something was wrong with the kart and offered me another ride, as well as letting me know he was pulling it off for the day. So all in all, not what I expected. It was fun to try to drive around the problems with the karts, but that's not what I came for. I think this place needs some investment, mechanically, to bring the karts up to snuff. One driver came in at the end of a run and had no brakes and crashed into all of us as we waited for the signal to get out of our karts. One child was hurt or shocked enough to start crying. This place is run down to the ground cars are really slow they used to go a lot faster the car I was driving felt like it was falling apart steering wheel was vibrating heavily. I will turn the steering wheel just a little bit and the car will lose control it was bad. I don't know if I'll come here again. Why did it take me more than 15 years to head to this place? Being a Carson native and seeing the "Go-Kart World" sign every time I head southbound on the 405, the thought of going there someday in my life has always been ingrained in my mind. I even thought about having my 30th bday bash just to get a kick out of my friends and family, but opted for a traditional 90's house party, aww what a night...... Anyways, back to the review, Go Kart World is a decent shot of go-karting experience for the kids. To all you wannabe fast & furious folks, by the looks of things, you could definitely see you were at the wrong place. It's a good family venue, since the karts aren't as fast as other tracks in SoCal and they have a mini-arcade for the little ones when parents realized that some of the kiddies don't make the height requirement. We tried the super, turbo & drift track and by far I had the most fun at the drift track. It's a single loop on the smaller track but it's tons of fun trying to beat your friends without bumping (it's against the rules....which I'll get to later) and the thrill of lapping a teenager is just too much fun! The super track has alittle longer loop with a little more power, but yes to what everyone has mentioned before, the go-karts here don't give you the horsepower that adults crave. Go Kart World is a decent place to visit if you are in need of alittle fun activity and just so happen to be driving on the 405 and stop for gas or directions, take a break and cruise on by. A few side notes: wear either a light jacket or long sleeves, pants and some gloves since this place is alittle run down. I was in a desperate need of hand-sanitizer after finishing with the tracks. Just a word to the wise ladies, you don't have to get all dolled up at this place, the fumes from the go-karts kill any type of good-hair day for anyone. Fun side note, check out all the warning signs that they post at Go Kart World, they had me cracking up the whole time. This place is a joke ! Take your kids to mulligans or something. Went for a birthday party and The staff were not friendly what so ever, like they had attitudes and didn't want to be there. The girl we had I don't know her name she was Hispanic kind of heavy set her communication was not up to par. The arcade game area took my sister money twice but they gave us the coins back. But also the games were dirty i mean black on the games (like when the last time y'all deep cleaned) Then you have big grown ups playing as well and it's like really lol...it's more for kids in my opinion. The pizza isn't good BUT the fruit and wings and salad were yummy. The go karts are barely functioning. I had come across this business a lot over social media, and decided to visit. To start off with a tip, I don't suggest the daily pass. I don't think they offer enough for an individual to spend more than 2 hours there while still finding it entertaining. I was disappointed for three reasons, one being that this place has not been keeping up with improvements that are available nowadays, I felt like they have not undergone any renovations or improvements since probably a good decade. (Based on pictures from 2008 that I had seen). Second, their go karts were mostly either broken down, they would have to push you when the race started so that the kart's motor can start running, or half the rubber from the steering wheel had come off and so the steering was all sticky. Just a bunch of issues that are fixable I just don't think they put enough care and time into this place. Lastly, maybe for kids it will be more enjoyable, but given that you have to be a certain height, (which mainly teens and adults are meeting the height requirements) I would assume that there would be a nicer race track and not just two that we had to go on like 4 times because the other ones were all too childish which I don't see the point of them being there if you have to have a fair heigh to ride. Overall, I don't think it was worth it. I wish it was more up to date, with some type of improvements. read more

This place is so much fun. I took my 3 year old there today and he had a blast! He rode with me on the 2 big tracks and then drove by himself on a little kiddie ferrari 4 times. Awesome location, we went there for a work event and had the best time. The staff is really friendly and does a great job of providing instruction before you start to make sure you understand how to operate the car, the layout of the course, etc. Would definitely recommend this for big groups, it was really fun. read more

I came to bring my son here its about 30 min from where we live . We do have a closer similar place to our house called Speed Zone but that place is ridiculously packed.The lines are too long to wait for a chance to ride the go kartz. Thats why we came here to Go Kart World. Yes this place is old you can tell from the kartz and tracks. But the wait was wonderfully short my son loved it he couldnt care if it wasnt all new he had a blast. Prices are great and they have lots of tracks would recommend it. We came on a Sunday afternoon dont know how crowded it will be on Friday or Saturday evening. read more

Really disappointed in how the staff behave towards customers there's no agreement no understanding my first time here and the start was pretty fun until they told me I couldn't ride a go kart because I span out and of course I read the rules but what the staff failed to realize is that when there's karts that are spun out in front of me I either have 2 choices when it's a blind turn slam on the brakes and spin out or crash into the kart well this happened 2 times and I did spin out once on my own but I was told not to come back for the day after I spent 120$ on faulty reasoning really feel like my whole day was ruined I feel like I am being generous with the 2 stars read more

Very disappointed. If you have a 3 or 7 year old, dont bother! They say they have options for 4 year olds but they dont tell you it's a slow old motorcycle they have to shut down the whole track for! They did NOT sanitize the carts between uses, no social distancing enforced, and most of the sanitizer pods were empty. The ones that did work had nasty sticky goop. Workers did not all wear masks and some of them didn't wear their masks properly. What a waste. We felt so disgusting when we got home. Will never come back to this track again!!!! Every single car I got in first broke down on the track and they had to switch my 3yr old and I out of the cars during the races in the middle of the track.
