We just celebrated my husband's birthday here for the 2nd year in a row. This is a GREAT and easy place to celebrate! You can reserve a large picnic table and have pizza delivered to the front gate. So, everyone has a place to hang out between races. And the racing is so fun! We had 35 guests, and everyone was into it. Many of the tracks allow you to race with your littler kids, so everyone can participate. Plus, there is an arcade if you need a break from racing. So fun!! I highly recommend! read more

I thoroughly researched all the go karting places available around the area and decided on this place for my kids and out of town family to go to. I thought this would be the safest place, in terms of following covid protocols mentioned on the website, as well as the follow up comments made by the owner on the Yelp reviews. The kids had a lot of fun BUT my husband told me later that he felt uncomfortable regarding one of the covid protocols mentioned on the website not being followed. The following photo was taken randomly, not actually to show me the unmasked staff, but to show me how one of the kids turned her car around but I noticed that it showed that neither of these staff members were wearing masks. It was all on video and well we all know lawyers tend to get paid off even his secretary was outraged that he threw my case. They will make you sing that paper saying anything that happens is on you. I've been to a party at Go Kart World in the past, and with COVID still a concern among some of my son's friends' parents, doing an event outside was a great idea. The party area to which we were assigned was perfect for the number of people we had (including parents), with room for the cake and goodie bags. The kids had an absolute blast! not only riding the go carts but also just running around the place, checking out the arcade games, and taking fun pictures. Two of the parents opted in to ride also, and they had fun spending the time with their sons, while the rest of us caught up from our busy weeks. The party was for 9-10 year olds, and we had about 10 kids, so it was a manageable group. Recommendations if you decide to go/book a party: - bring sanitizer and sanitizing wipes (it's not dirty, but it's a place that generally you want to sanitize often given the equipment is used by many.) They do have sanitizer there, and obviously bathrooms to wash hands, but it's more convenient to have it at your table where you can get the kids to do it quickly before touching their snacks, etc. - If you're booking a party space, don't forget to bring painter's tape/masking tape to tape down your tablecloth and decorations if it's a bit windy. read more

I came with my little boy here and the experience was not great. Very over priced. I cashed out $20.00 of tokens and 90%of the games in the arcade were not working. I had to keep going back to the front desk to ask for my coins back. I asked for a partial refund of the remaining coins I had left because at that point my 8 year old was over most of the games not working. For the prices they charge , the games should be replaced. These games are so old that they kept breaking down and feel really dirty and worn out. I definitely do not recommend this place. Very old and worn out. read more

Came here yesterday with a group of 4 adults in the early afternoon. We paid $40 per person for the online special 1.5 hours minimum 6 guaranteed rides. Before getting into the details, I've gone go karting many times all throughout the country and have been on indoor electric and outdoor gas karts. I found the track assortment at go kart world and the price of the wristband to be a decent deal since we were able to squeeze in 7 rides over 1.5 hours but it was on a Wednesday at 2pm and we only waited once or twice. Mini Indy - the reason we wanted to come to go kart world was for the drifting. We tried it on the east coast and had a blast so wanted to try again. The mini Indy track unfortunately didn't quite live up to expectations. It's an oval track and the ends of the oval are supposed to be slick. It looked and felt like the concrete had worn down and needed to be resurfaced or something. The standard karts were also far too slow for any drifting. There was an option to buy tickets for the faster karts but based on how not slick the track looked and felt we decided against paying extra for it. Turbo track - very narrow and tight turns, the track is actually pretty fun. However, the karts are in pretty bad shape and the speed of the karts varies greatly. White 44 was the one to get as it was significantly faster than everything else. But like mentioned before, even 44 was in rough shape. Half the fun is sharp handling and that's where every kart struggled. Not sure if it's alignment/old equipment issues but steering is numb, heavy and imprecise. Super track - this was a great track as there were elevation changes and big turns where you actually were able to drift a little through (more than mini Indy). The issue here again was kart speed varies greatly and handling is just a mess. The yellow karts felt like they were half the speed of the blue ones, my first race was in yellow 13 and I thought I was driving a tractor, it made me not like the track at all. The 2nd time we watched to see which karts looked faster and noticed that green 2 and all the blue karts looked faster. Come race time, we had much more fun the 2nd time with the faster karts. Though, my blue 8 stalled out about halfway through and they couldn't get it going again so I had to walk off and call it a day. But blue 8 was great speed wise while it lasted. There was also an option to buy tickets for high speed karts here but based on the condition of the regular karts we just weren't sure if it was worth paying more to try. Bumper karts - surprisingly fun, seemed to go faster going backwards which led to some pretty big bumps/collisions. Overall we had a good time but felt the standard karts were slow and handling poor. Also our hands and shorts were covered in black stuff after each race. This place has a ton of potential as the tracks are interesting. If they can upgrade their standard karts I think it could be a 5 star experience. Hoping go kart world can survive the pandemic and make some upgrades. Otherwise, pay close attention to which karts look faster before you get in as it makes a big difference. read more

As a kid I passed by here often and always wanted to go and never got to. Passing by with my daughter she asked could she have her 12th birthday party there and that's what we did. We had an amazing time, kids and adults. We are all still talking about how much fun we had 2 days later. The correspondence via email with the owner to arrange the party was prompt and with all the information and questions answered. The employees were so helpful to me. Absolute worse of the worst . I went after hearing about the place and let me tell you it was the worst experience for me and the most traumatic for my son. Wich was 12 years old at the time . right away I should have listened to the red flags. For starters you have to sign a waiver claiming they are not responsible if anything. I really wanted to take my son somewhere cool so I just went along with it since the start the cart he was given already had a problem with the breaks. The kid wasnt able to come to q complete stop and. Hit his face and broke his glasses. Long story short my son lost control of the faulty car and suffered a major injury that needed him to be taken to the emergency room. He ended up getting 12 stitches on his face and a broken nose. A couple of days went by and I decided this couldnt stay like this because my son went through a whole lot and. I decided to file a lawsuit. When I got there the fallowing day they hesitated to give me the incident report and took a really long time fixing up the words the girl had wrote the night before. As soon as the owner looked at me he didnt even apologize nor showed the slightest bit of sympathy his exact words were... " you singed the waiver there is nothing you could do. This place left me really upset and to make matters worse I believe he bribed my lawyer because after 5 months to 9 months my case was suddenly dropped with no explanation. We recently celebrated my daughter's bday at Go Kart World and had an amazing time. The kids had a blast and the parents were pleasantly transported back to the 90s (In a good way lol)! The staff was extremely helpful and seemed to be having a great time too. You bring your own food, which is super convenient and the tracks are fun for kids and adults of all ages. My family visited Gokart World this weekend. While we had fun racing and most of the employees were very friendly and attentive, there was definitely no enforcement of masks. The facility posts signs saying that masks are required but in practice people pull their masks down in line and during races and the employees do not say anything. This is not to say that no one was wearing masks. Most people were. But in the cases of people obviously ignoring the rules the employees did nothing. It is true that the owner has a chat with each guest as they enter, before you buy tickets, and he did tell us all masks were required. However, I do not think he realizes what is going on on the tracks as he is greeting guests near the entrance. I see Cynde H lashing out at others reporting this and her responses to their concerns are outlandish. I expect she will accuse me of something, or falsely state something happened that did not. We had no incidents at Gokart World. I am not complaining about the state of the cars or facilities and I did not ask anyone there to do anything. However, when I read her attack on others for stating the same thing I observed I felt the need to post a review. EDIT (posted after Cynde's response): Annnndd..... there it is. This place is not inclusive to everyone. The karts are not made for anyone over 200 lbs or with thick thighs. I brought my son and I was not able to turn in the go kart properly because the wheel was digging into my thigh. One person karts have a little more space but you are crowded on the brake and gas. So I brought my son and his friends for a day of fun,or so I thought, first ride the kids accidentally bumped a parked cart that was sticking out from the side line,mind you these are kids,so what does attendance do? Ban him from the ride.no refund no warning! So we went to the other 3 rides,and in one of them one of the kids is right over the height line,does the attendance let him on? Nope! He tells me to ride with him because I am over 16,so we did,and we went to the next ride and the next,no problem, now to get our mineys worth we go back to the ride we're I had to ride with the kid,does he let me ride with him? Thank you to Go Kart World!! The Rotary Club of Carson Gardena Dominguez conducted our 19th Annual Rotary Grand Prix and everyone had a great time. Some of the drivers were like pros and others like a grandparent driving in the slow lane. Regardless, there was plenty of competition between the eight teams and lots of laughs. For the most part, everyone followed the rules. For those who didn't, part of the fun was seeing the driver and car being sent to the penalty area. This place is ghetto fabulous fun. Its cheap go karting compared to other places like K1. I purchased the deal which gave me access to all tracks for $30, for 90 minutes. My friends and I were able to go onto 6 rides with some time left. Either way, each ride turns out to be about $5 each, which is what they charge normally. I liked the turbo track, but take note (Thanks Francis), tt can get pretty intense as getting used to. The steering wheels takes a bit of getting used to. It is also hard to pass people on most courses without bumping. The point is to just have fun here, despite the dilapidated surroundings and ugly set up. I would come back here again with the friends who don't mind getting dirty, inhaling a ton of carbon monoxide, and don't freak out because of germs being everywhere. Wasn't interested in trying out the super track since it went past 40mph, and never tried the slick track as people tended to think it was a bumper course and I was not interested in crashing. This place is awesome! The carts go FAST dont be fooled it's not just for kids ! They have a variety of tracks for all ages and super nice people working here. You get a fake go kart world license that's awesome and the lines never really run too long (with the exception if covid) it's also really clean- old , but clean. Please avoid going here not safe , I went yesterday and turn out I got a concussion due to getting bumped by many go karts and didn't get help right away took them 4 minutes for them to find out I was stuck . I got a trauma that caused for me to get paralyzed from my left face because of the head injury Helmets should be required after this I won't ever go again my go kart seat belt ripped as well . I'm rating this place relative to other Go-Kart places. I think I would like to get my drink on , call a cab, and go over to this place and start driving like a mad man. Danny, our racing coordinator was the BEST. He took care of us from start to finish, we had our own private banquet room for our dinner afterwards. Sammie at the front and the operators have huge problems with Black people today!! We were waiting to get on a ride and the man just left! Then 10 minutes later he comes back with a taco! Sammie is eating chicken nuggets while shes ringing up my tickets! This is a timed placed so if we have to wait for someone to go get food our time should not be deducted! Bought 4 tickets online. Some of the workers here are rude and needs to learn how to smile from time to time. When we my group and I arrived we signed waivers and proceeded to the other process. The online ticket was good for 2 hrs only on top of that you would have to pay extra to drive in the faster go kart. Did I mention also take a test and have your paper signed off? Yeah, it takes time so be sure to watch out for that. I am not trying to blame the employee for this they have no control over this but they should mention that prior to buying the ticket online. The great thing about this place is the fact that they can accommodate a certain amount of people and luckily we didn't have to wait very long to get into the goKarts but if there are a lot of people just know that your 2 hrs will be up very fast. They only have 3 main tracks that are good which I like but it just started to get boring after a while. If you go, you need to know that you are going to a pretty run down dirty place. If you're an adult okay with that, it can be fun for an hour or two. If you're a kid between 10-15, it'll be even more fun. Pros: The tracks are fun to ride, and the time allotted on each track is decent. The bumper cars run good and are fun if you have a decent sized group. Price is fair. Not crowded if you go soon after it opens. Easy parking. Cons: The slick track just isn't very slick anymore and the timer is broken. Not all carts run the same, some are slower, some are faster. Some steering wheels are sticky, your hands will be black after the race, and there's no soap in the establishment. Emission odors are high. Many kids do not know how to brake, and may slam into you (unintentionally) at the end of a race giving you mini-whiplash or a severe backache. read more
