Hi all, I am not sure if the other reviews or fake. I paid 100K for my Solar system. The salesperson's name is Lucas Ferraz. After installing and we got issue, he did not pick up the phone when I called when we had issue. Here is our issue: before solar, I paid about $250-3xx/month. After I install solar, I have to pay $344/month. They push responsibilities to me to deal with electric company. I do not have any knowledge with it. I have two switch electric companies and I have to pay more than $450 twice. We are so desperate. We do not know how to resolve, and they did not help properly. They try to say this say that, but we have to pay more than $300/month with Solar system at 100K. They promise that we do not have to pay anything. This is a just a scam. Never trust them, especially the guy's name: Lucas Ferraz. Trung Nguyen

There were some communication, delivery, install, and workmanship quality issues. That said the system is installed, working and the final out come is what I had hoped for.

I engaged Go Solar in 2020 to install 10 KW system and 2 Tesla Powerwalls. The installation of the system was more or less ok; however, I quickly discovered that one of the Powerwalls was defective and not storing any energy whatsoever. It took Go Solar many call and email, many visits from technicians and 5 months to replace the defective Powerall. In January 2021, I re-engaged Go Solar to expand the system and re-roof the house at the same time. This was a disaster from start to finish. I'd say it was a comedy of errors, but there was nothing funny about it - only errors. Go Solar told me - in writing - that the process would be turn key in 45 days. It took 14 months for Go Solar to close out the permits, and Go Solar has still not cured all of the contract breaches that I brought to their attention. On May 30, 2022, the new roof leaked due to poor workmanship (this was the insurance company's determination). It was not a major leak, but enough to damage the season - it took Go Solar another 2 months to identify the source of the leak and make the repair. A 3rd party contractor could have done the restoration in 72 hours. There are many quality solar contractors to choose from in South Florida, and many can be found on credible sites such as SolarReviews.com

We had similar issues to the people that left a review on solarreviews.com, bbb.org, Yelp and the person who sued them to return their monies. They promised a specific brand a/c to be installed, then a change order was done for a less expensive brand and the company that came out to do the work never pulled permits or submitted the application to the HOA to proceed with the work. After we couldn't get a hold of the company. Mark the salesperson, said a permit wasn't needed and a few other excuses followed. We decided not to follow through with any additional work, since the initial work wasn't done properly, they couldn't provide proper documentation of the price difference in a/c units and permits. Paid $16K for the a/c and a $48K deposit for solar panels.  No one can get a hold of the subcontracted a/c company. However, Mark was quick to try and collect the next installment in CASH again, threatened my elderly father that he was going to sue him if he didn't provide the $24K for the next installment, but didn't matter about the a/c system they insisted on doing to make sure the installation was done properly, so there won't be any issues to tie the solar panels into it. We've sent certified letters to David Burrows (General Manager, previous owner of SDI Development), Marc Burrows (New Owner/Agent for Net 0 Energy Homes Inc), Mark Kennedy (Sales Rep) & Donnie Nolley (Solar Contractor license CVC57025). We still have no resolution, and no monies were returned. We spoke to the district attorney regarding crimes against the elder and we've been advised to file the official complaint to proceed with the investigation...We are being left with no other option at this point.

I noticed on the widget that the production was zero. When a consumer purchases a solar system, it's usually a financial decision to save money on electricity. Keeping it reliable and operating is that last thing you should have to worry about. Keep in mind, Goldin Solar isn't responsible for an equipment failure. The manufacturer is SolarEdge. I've contacted them for service. I'll update my review after the repair & their response time. They usually send great personable technicians. UPDATE: I was contacted Sept 20, 2024 that the inverter needed to be replaced by SolarEdge. It would cost $500 in labor, which I immediately paid. I believe the previous time I paid $350 to replace the inverter. It's not Goldin Solar's fault these things fail so often, but it sure hurts my pocketbook. Regardless, they are being responsive. They really should invest in software such as Salesforce to manage their customer maintenance and communication, since it appears to be causing issues for them. I've been asked by several about optimizers failing. In 7 years, no optimizers have failed. I am waiting for the SolarEdge inverter to arrive in the mail. I'll update after the repair. UPDATE: My Solaredge inverter arrived yesterday. I contacted "Michael" via text, and he told me he would send somebody the next day in the morning. The tech showed up today and replaced the inverter. This entire process was exactly 30 days. Keep in mind, the delay was due to Solaredge not shipping as quickly as Goldin Solar expected them to ship the box. I think that's a 5-star result, even after having to pay $500 for a repair. It's a ton of money and 3.5 months of electricity + 1 month of zero production. Regardless, it's a business and I need them to be profitable so they are there to support my system in the future. I don't want other hands involved. The entire team is non-responsive and everything takes ridiculously long. From contract signing to getting the system fully operational took well over a year. They claim that is normal, but everybody I ever talked to had their system installed in about half that time. The only thing they are good at is covering up for each other and coming up with excuses. A year after completion one of our panels broke. In the contract they claim to have a highly responsive service department and fast turnaround times on warranty claims, but that is a total lie. They are again completely non-responsive. A month after starting the warranty claim we are still nowhere. Given how dishonest this company is, likely all or most of the positive reviews are fake and made up by the company itself in the time they spend not responding to their customers. All the negative reviews echo my experience and it is highly unlikely that they randomly choose to provide excellent service to some and dismal service to others with no middle ground. Do yourself a favor and do not use this company.
