DO NOT TRUST THIS DOCTOR - TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE & CUSTOMER CARE…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Dr. Mordkovich at Cross Hudson Plastic Surgery has been nothing short of a nightmare--from the botched Dysport treatment to the complete lack of accountability and dismissive attitude of both the doctor and his staff. After my treatment, I was left with an unnatural, "spocked" appearance that completely altered my facial expressions, making me feel self-conscious and distressed. When I brought up my concerns immediately after the injections, instead of addressing them with care and professionalism, Dr. Mordkovich outright dismissed me and showed no interest in resolving the issue. His lack of concern made me feel anxious and uneasy, and I knew I could not trust him to fix the mistake he made. After weeks of back-and-forth and a frustrating, exhausting process of being ignored, they finally offered only a partial refund ($250)--as if I was at fault for their poor work! It was never about the money, but the lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic respect for patient concerns is appalling. This office clearly does not prioritize patient satisfaction or ethical care. I strongly urge anyone considering this doctor to think twice before trusting him with their face or body. The way I was treated was unacceptable, and no one should have to go through this kind of stress and disappointment after a cosmetic procedure. Avoid this place at all costs. There are many skilled, ethical, and caring professionals out there--Dr. Mordkovich is NOT one of them.

I proceeded to go see him and he was very professional with my treatment, made me feel comfortable and was very assuring. I found that he was the best doctor for this procedure and that I could trust him and his staff. He talked me through the surgery before it happened, and everything was exact the way he described it would be. I feel very happy with my results, and I have absolutely no pain at all. I am walking like nothing has happened. Thank you Dr. Mordkovich your hands are sent by an angel. I definitely would be recommending him to whoever needs work done.

My Update Review -- with Clarification & Continuing Impact…read more The original review reflects my firsthand experience as a patient and observer during my stay and interactions with NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Everything I describe happened directly to me or to my roommate, and the memory of it still affects me to this day. When I first arrived, I expected professional, compassionate care. What I found was a strange split: half the staff were pure day-angels -- genuinely caring and patient -- while the other half felt like night creatures of Hades, treating suffering people like problems instead of patients. I remember lying there, unsure whether I'd get help or indifference when I pressed the call button. Those nights were long and unsettling, and they left a deep mark on how I view hospitals even now. After I was discharged, things didn't end there. A few months later, when my Medicaid coverage ended and my Medicare was about to begin, the hospital's billing department started calling me. I remember the woman on the phone saying, "The hospital expects to get paid." I was still in recovery -- mentally, physically, emotionally -- and that moment felt like being punched when I was already down. I told her to figure it out and ended the call. I never heard from them again. But the experience stuck with me. Even now, when I walk into a clinic or hear a hospital intercom, it all comes back: the helplessness, the fear, the sense that care had become secondary to profit. It wasn't just a bad stay; it was something that shook my trust in healthcare as a system. I still wish there were some way to hold them accountable for how they treat patients -- and to be clear, the word "wish" here expresses my frustration and lasting pain, not a legal or factual claim. It's the feeling of someone who went through something that shouldn't happen in a place meant to heal. This update represents only my personal story and opinion, drawn from my own experience. I understand and respect Yelp's content guidelines and have written this update carefully to remain within them. I stand by my review, my words, and the right of patients to speak openly and truthfully about what they've lived through -- especially when those experiences continue to haunt them long after discharge.

If you must know, I decided to finally pull the trigger and get my lips surgically altered. Yes, that is right - I touched my face for the first time after 35 years ! The procedure is called the bullhorn lip lift. This is where they remove excess tissue from underneath your nose, lifting the upper lip for a more luscious pout, while reducing the size of the nose to lip space, giving a more youthful appearance while allowing more teeth to show. What I really wanted was a fuller top lip with a more pronounced shape to be in proportion with the bottom lip, which is exactly what I received and more! Everything looks so natural and matches my face beautifully! Dr Altman is truly an artist; not only did he modify my lip precisely as requested, he made the most perfect, practically invisible incision that matches the fold under my nose. I am ecstatic with my results ! I should also mention that Dr Altman is a phenomenal doctor! He was patient with me, understanding of what I wanted and communicated with me every step of the way. I would always question every little thing at all crazy random times and Dr Altman would always respond with knowledge and reason while educating me on the process itself, as well as, reassured me he would make it exactly what I wanted and never made me feel uncomfortable for asking. I have never had a more attentive doctor that genuinely cares for your physical and mental well being. He undoubtedly is the best ! He is very conservative and never makes you feel like you need anything, only does the things that YOU want done, and even then tries to talk you out of it! It would be safe for me to say I consider him a friend; such a lover of all animals, an amazing man, confidant and the best doctor - I cannot thank you enough, Dr Altman! His team is absolutely wonderful, as well. They catered to my needs, helped me every step of the way and made this process very simple. It goes without saying that I completely trust Dr Altman and his team and they deserve the ALL STAR rating! I will definitely be recommending all of my friends and family here and have already done so ! Have faith in this man - he will not ever let you down !

I did my research and due diligence regarding lower Blepharoplasty, and the second I met Dr Parakh, I made my decision. First, her office team is top flight. From the kind and diligent Bianca greeting you warmly at the front desk to Maria efficiently and expertly handling paperwork to the amazing Viktoria who assists Dr Parakh in every aspect of patient care - you will be in the finest, most attentive hands. Pre and Post surgery, Viktoria was my contact (though the one time I needed to reach Dr Parakh after hours, she replied in minutes) through text, phone and email. Viktoria responded immediately to my many questions and if she didn't know an answer, she found out from the doctor and got back to me as soon as humanly possible. Dr Parakh herself is that wonderful combination of total expertise and competence and the best girlfriend you wish you had. Funny, easy, brilliantly gifted, completely present, multi-certified, and ultimately inspiring, she listened carefully to my desire to be rid of these troublesome eye bags and still look like a woman well and wonderfully over 50. At 61, this doctor has me looking my very best. The surgery itself was perfectly handled. I'd had a terrible experience with anesthesia in the past and that was worrying me. The anesthesiologist came into the room, pre-surgery, and listened very carefully to my previous experience, assuring me he would do his best to avoid lingering negative effects. He did his job well! Not only did I have NO pain from the surgery (I never needed, nor took a pain killer after the first day) but I had no impact from the anesthesia, allowing me to rapidly recover. Every single thing I was told would happened, happened exactly as I was told. So... how do I look? Pretty great. My long unloved eye bags are gone! At 2 weeks post surgery, there is the tiniest bruise which covers nicely with cover-up. When I smile, I have exactly the right amount of smile lines to look my age but...ya know - like I had a really, really, REALLY good sleep. Go to Dr Parakh; she'll make you your best you
