The bar is everything I look for from a cocktail bar - spacious yet cozy, dark with enough light to read what's in front of you, and quality drink. The cocktails were the star of the night - ranging from $11 to $13 - both their classics and house creations were well balanced and worth trying. Table service was provided with attentive wait staff who weren't overbearing. The only miss for the night was the food. While certain items like the fries and the Brussels sprouts were great, other items like the burger and duck tacos didn't hit the mark with a burger that was too dry and overly charred and the tacos which were too gamey and could have used a some more acid. For a drink I'd certainly visit again, but would likely pass on food.

We came here for dinner and drinks on a date night. The environment is nice and cozy and when you walk in you see a beautiful dessert display! We of course had to try a slice of peanut butter cake. My husband loved it (he picked the dessert). I picked our drinks and they have an excellent drink variety. We started our meal with the queso tots and they were delicious! Wiped them out! I ordered the lobster mac and cheese and he got the philly cheesesteak. He absolutely raved about his sandwich and said it was the best he ever had. I wouldn't order the lobster mac again but it was presented beautifully. I look forward to going back and trying the mussels. I saw many of those orders coming out and definitely looked so good! Great spot to check out for drinks, desserts, and a bite!

I read alot of reviews about the cream sauce on the mussels but I like pesto and decided to give it a try. I'm delighted to inform you that it was delicious to the very last drop! I'm not kidding the broth was so flavorful I ate it all like a bowl of soup. The fries were thin crispy perfection and the entire portion was enough to fill me up. This is definitely going on my favorite meals list!

Really enjoyed this spot while in Columbia! Lots of good small plates and drinks. Excellent service! I would definitely return!

Goat's is a cool spot in the trendy Five Points area. The vibe is chill, but not dive-y. The drink list is extensive, mostly classics, but a few that were either originals or too obscure for me to recognize. The bartender very helpfully recommended a couple of drinks--I had the Screaming Viking and the Scarlett O'Hara. Both were simple, but well balanced and exactly the type of thing I was looking for. There's also a very good wine and beer selection, and several wine flight options. I can't say anything blew my socks off, but I would definitely come back!

Real nice! Very creative menu, small but very creative Started of with the Hot Tots. Very good flavor the Goat Cheese blend worked well. Went for the Duck Taco's. Had great flavor only critique they were a little dry, could have use a little moisture. Merin behind the bar was awesome We talked food and o mentioned the Farro salad which you don't see on a menu often and she brought me a sample! Thanks Merin! Look forward to a return

Perfect place for date night! I have been wanting to stop by Goat's for post-dinner drinks for a while now and I'm so glad we made it. The drink menu has sooo many options to choose from, including wine flights and coffees. Our server was sweet and laid back, which matched the vibe of the entire place. The owner was behind the bar and you could just tell that he loves what he does, and I enjoyed watching him make drinks from our table. Drinks were delicious! My boyfriend had the aloe Vera cocktail and was amazed that it tasted exactly like an aloe drink that you'd get from the store, but with a little punch. We will definitely be adding this to our date night rotation!

Stopped by here because my SIL was looking for an Espresso martini dupe for the one she had in Mexico. My brother searched and we found Goat's! Upon entering, it had a nice vibe to it. We were approached and we confirmed that they had the drink. They did. He told us to sit where we would like. We did! Our waitress was phenomenal! She was attentive, funny, and well versed on the drink and food menu. We knew what we wanted and my god did they deliver! They were absolutely delicious! My SIL left a happy camper and now I have a new favorite drink and spot to get them!

If there ever was a uniquely different yet very pleasant place, it's Goat's. The interior décor of Goat's is something else. It's a very old time but in a way to me, refreshingly different with a certain new flare about it. As Goat's declares it's a wine and craft cocktail bar with the same atmosphere as was had by the owner's grandfather. It has a great selection of wines and signature cocktails. The menu has some very interesting takes like Buffalo Oysters with blue cheese and a Buffalo hot sauce, an Andouille Hot Dog, Poutine, and a Stuffed Quail. For me, I went for their PEI Mussels with a most delicious pesto sauce and also their Pan Seared Duck Breast with confit potatoes, carrot and orange gastrique. Indeed, everything was delicious. The only downside foodwise is their very limited menu, but then again, it's primarily an upscale cocktail, beer, and drinking establishment.

Two duck tacos and a Bay breeze cocktail.

The place is very well air conditioned, and the space is very intentional. Visiting from out of state the waitress seemed a bit shy/new but curious about Wisconsin she warmed up a little bit. It's really cool that you can see the chefs in their element behind a glass wall while you wait. The silverware, or should I say Goldwear was beautiful. I started out with the All American Spritz- it was good but nothing extraordinary. However when I tried the pistachio martini, I was in disbelief! I was skeptical to order it as I've never even heard of one before and was unsure how pistachio would translate into a martini. It was creamy and somehow savory and sweet at the same time, the alcohol taste was nonexistent. And the rim was coated in pistachio crumbs. Both the drinks presentation was beautiful. I personally ordered the bbq chicken sandwhich, with mac and cheese instead of fries for the side. The sandwich was smoky, I could not stop eating it! If anyone was wondering what so special about the mac and cheese, it's the name of the noodles. And yes, the waitress will sound it out with you lol! The Mac and cheese wasn't creamy, and I found it a bit bland unfortunately. There was no order the same in the group I came with. The truffle fries were on the thinner crispier side, neat that there were different color of potatoes used. The duck wings came out like their very own presentation. I tried the alligator bites, that were served with 2 sauces, I thought there were kind of chewy , and weird enough I guess I have a preference with how my alligator is served since having tried some at the Wisco State fair. I love that the menu feels curated, you know what you're there for and it's not overwhelming to pick from the options of something new. The bathroom was very cute too! And the bar area was lit up, a cool atmosphere.

That created a slightly rushed feeling right from the start of the experience. When the food arrived, it was not served hot. The fries were seasoned but came out cold, so we had to send them back. The service also felt a bit disengaged, as though the server was ready to wrap things up, even though there was still about 30 to 45 minutes before closing time. That said, once the food was remade and served hot, it was really good. My salad, however, was not the same experience, as the lettuce had brown spots throughout, which took away from the overall quality. You can tell the kitchen has potential when the food is prepared properly, but consistency is the issue. The ambience is very cool and visually appealing. It is a bit dark for my personal preference in the evening, but I can imagine it being bright and beautiful during the daytime. The cocktail I ordered was just okay and didn't really stand out. Overall, there is definitely potential here, but improvements in consistency, service attentiveness, and food quality control would really elevate the experience.

The food surpassed my expectations, particularly the red pepper dip. I also saw the teriyaki beef tacos and thought they'd be meh, but they were really quite tasty! Did not order entrees. I would say they should add a vegetarian/vegan entree option (or substitution) (beyond something mundane like a salad)- maybe I didn't look hard enough. The service was good but not anything to rave about. We were there at what seemed to be a relatively slow time of day/week (maybe 20% of the restaurant was full). Nothing bad to say here. The pricing was as expected. Pretty typical. Also, why no champagne on the menu?! Come on guys (lol, again, maybe I didn't look hard enough). So- 4 out of 5. We started with sharing the crab ragoon toast and charred wings, which were perfectly seasoned and not "too charred". We moved onto the hanger steak to split and it was cooked perfectly as well.
