I always get my gel pedicures here. First and foremost it is very clean. They do such a great job on my nails and bring you a free beverage of your choice to enjoy during your service. I have been going to the nail salon for quite some time and they recently got bought out by GoBahli. They updated the salon and raised all the prices. A $22 pedicure is now $30 but supposedly you get a free drink. However, they don't always offer you the free drink so you'll have to ask for it if they don't. I brought my daughter in for a color change that used to be $12 to do her toes and nails and now they charge $30 for that same color change. Kim is amazing and I love her, she does an excellent job. But I'm not sure I'll be back with the price changes I don't feel are worth it. read more

I have gone there more than a handful of times and the last few I feel like I was being discriminated. I was not offered complimentary drinks as everyone else who were getting services and I was over charged 10 bucks for 2 nail tips that I had removed and two nails that had a slight slit on my nail bed which was considered a nail fix for 5 bucks. I absolutely love how many color options and choices in general this place had. Endless possibilities! It's hard to find nail salons that give you a lot of creative freedom but this place seems to specialize in unique designs. I've always wanted to try iridescent cat eye nails but none of the usual salons I frequent in SF offer this option. And if they did, the style would cost at least $55, not including tip. My gel cat eye mani was $45 and I think they did a great job. This location of Color Nails (there are 4 total) charges $35 for a gel mani, and $10 for the cat eye overlay, which involves using magnets to get that slash of shimmer. May and Alex were my nail techs. May gave me a great pedicure and lovely foot massage, which as we know isn't exactly run of the mill with every nail salon. She began my gel mani but Alex took over as I was their last client of the day and he seemed more adept at applying the cat eye look so they could close up in a timely fashion. Despite being the last one there (which had not been my intention), I enjoyed chatting with them and didn't feel like I was being rushed out of the place. Alex mentioned another location of Color Nails does 4D nails, as opposed to the 3D cat eyes offered at this one! That is definitely something I'd explore if I lived in the area...he said the 3rd location does it but I don't remember where that one is located. read more

Moved to Oceanside from Chicago and have not been able to find the perfect ombré nail tech yet - until now! Their prices are fair, everyone was very nice and they have a whole menu of things to drink if you want to. I'm beyond frustrated with this second visit to the salon. I scheduled my appt for a white tip full set acrylic and regular pedicure with callus remover with any nail tech. Upon check-in, the nail tech tried to upsell me from my acrylic mani to a gel x mani right away to which I said "no, I tried it in the past and it came off easily". She directed me to my station then they talk amongst themselves to which I'm assuming is about the services I booked. They once again asked if I wanted gel x instead when I sat down and I said "no". At this point I wasn't sure who would do my mani or pedi but Elaine took it upon herself to do my mani. She asked what I wanted "because she had an appt scheduled" and wanted to be sure. Before she started she buttered me up and explained the benefits of a gel x mani versus acrylic hoping I would change my mind. I said "no, I tried it before and it did not adhere to my nail for as long as I was told and didn't want them again". Then after some thought, I changed my mind. I ended up getting gel x almond nails with french tips and a chrome top (her suggestion). She was kind and treated me with respect, however, it seemed like my appt coincided with the one she mentioned beforehand. It seemed like it frustrated her since she did take her time with me as much as possible then somewhat rushed in the end. I kind of felt bad but it wasn't my fault. Again, I scheduled my appt in advance with exactly what I wanted and they all insisted on upselling me. I didn't need convincing that the gel x mani was better than acrylic. I knew this from the beginning. I know they're cute and a popular type of mani, but I truly just wanted the acrylic. Please just listen to your customers after they tell you "no" especially more than once. Plus this is during the holiday season and I didn't want to pay $200 just to get my nails done and that's what ended up being the final total with tip. To say I'm livid might be an understatement. My pedicure went well, I also got gel with a chrome top (which I asked for to match my mani) and had a great experience with the male nail tech. He did not try to upsell me whatsoever. Towards the end of my pedi, another client was getting situated for her services and the nail tech who was to do her mani asked my tech if I had chrome on my toes. To which Elaine chimed in by saying she suggested I get a chrome mani. By the tone of their exchange, I could tell this other nail tech had a negative reaction as she looked at my feet then looked at me puzzled multiple times. Was that really necessary? All this to say thank you for your hard work but I won't be coming back. My entire appt was frustrating from the start which it shouldn't have been read more

I LOVE my nail tech I have been going to years but there is a lot of turnover otherwise. I've been going to her for over 8 years now. She has a technique and knows which products work best on my nails. Gel mani and pedi and sometimes an eye brown wax. She stays late for me on occasion as well. I've tried other salons closer to my house ( I moved) but I always come back tou tech here. Other people rush through the service but my tech is great. Some people sterilize their supplies and other not. They used to have sterilized packs for everyone. read more

I came for a foreign gel x removal, a full set builder gel and polish change on my toes from another salon. My builder gel manicure was so smooth, no bumps, and wasn't overly thick; the technicians definitely take their time on quality. Huge shout out to Albert, I noticed he was always very quick to greet and get every customer settled in. Overall clean, cute, and I loved my service. I'm currently recommending to all my friends. As someone who regularly gets their nails done, the prices here are (in my opinion) very competitive against the other socal salons in 2024. It's good practice to have the conversation of prices while getting your nails done (i.e. requests for length, shape, color, removal). So please don't be scared of some of the reviews commenting on that. Technician notes: Ayla did my gel x removal, left my natural nails completely intact. Quick and painless! I got a pedicure bc I was in the area. The woman cut the skin down very deep between the nails around the edges and they are swollen And red .. blood is showing and the edges. She did not use unopened new tools .. now I wonder if they were even clean tools! My toes were throbbing in pain all night. I'm very scared I might develop fungus or worse a blood infection. I can't believe she didn't use a new sterile tool package which is the standard these days! The nail file was not new either so I got a used file.. gross! I should have known better then to let her continue!! I have started using anti fungal cream as a precaution. I'll going to podiatrist to get on antibiotics.
