This is one of the best nail salons I've ever been to. It's new ownership so only look at the recent reviews. The owner takes her time and really cares about getting it right and creating a clean environment. The nails I get from her last a while. She offers tap nails, which I love. She's building herself up so she doesn't have a lot of staff yet but I like that because then I get to go to her personally :-) The phone number listed on Yelp and Google are wrong and they are giving her a hard time to change it. I recommend popping in. I made the mistake of not saving the new phone number in my phone so I'm going to have to go in again to get it and will add it here. I almost didn't want to leave a good review because I don't want competition when I'm trying to have an appointment ;-) read more

This place was amazing, the pedicures were the best my daughter and I have ever gotten. Anne and Lyna did such a great job!! We were offered cold drinks when we were there and they really took their time, were very detailed and you can definitely tell. Me and my mom went in, first of all they kept telling us to come on in and to get our nails done and that it was going to take 15 minutes but it didn't it took around in hour in a half. The lady we're putting in my nails wrong after telling them it was put in wrong but all she said was I will fix them right now but she didn't. The lady kept trying to sell us jewelry after we told them politely "no thank you". They also kept asking us if we want to wax or do our toe nails but we just said no we don't have time because we really didn't. After she was done she kept putting some of this jewelry on my nails I didn't want to have them because you had to pay around 5 dollars for that and she put it on without asking, she couldn't take them off so we had to pay for them. I really like this place. I only get a basic pedicure but like how gentle they are doing these old feet. Have never had an ingrown toenail from them doing my pedicures. Where I housed to go, was always getting ingrown nails. Sure, I could fault this establishment but overall have been satisfied getting my basic pedicures from them for over 15 years!! read more

I was waiting for trendy to open when I saw the lady put $5 wax . I just needed my upper lip wax and I thought I would be saving money and time . I went in and it's looks not very up to date . I still just need to wax so I went in the room . She wax my upper lip and there was still a lot of facial hair in my side lips . When I saw it in the mirror and then she said fine . She waxed again in my side . Then instead of grabbing tweezers she grabbed some thick string and processed to threat. I payed and left. Once I was in the freeway it started to sting . I came in for a pedicure, they were both busy working on the same woman, so they put me in a chair and I waited 40 minutes before they got to me. I would've left after 20, but I happened to know the other person there, and I wasn't gonna look like a turd in front of a family friend. After 40 minutes of soaking in hot water, my feet looked like two loaves of bread rising in the oven. I got a super rushed pedicure which was 5/10. Instead of pushing back and nipping my cuticles, she used the nail grinder and practically MURDERED my little piggies. There were other people waiting but they still offered me a gel manicure, and because I apparently hated myself and everyone else there, I agreed. It was bad. It is bad. I had to remind her that she skipped the massage. You know what's worse than not getting a massage?? Having to REMIND somebody that you're paying them to rub your body. It felt creepy but I was already so far into this mess that I was gonna get my damn massage no matter the cost. She also didn't put on the initial drying agent that is required to help the bottom layer of gel adhere, so I don't expect them to last. Honestly I hope they DON'T. Looking at them ignites a flame in me that I thought was extinguished by antidepressants long ago. I went in with hope for the human race, I came out a soulless PMS queen with an opioid addiction. I went in with a smile on my face, I came out a disheveled harlot of Babylon whose rage knows no bounds. I went in a Disney princess, I came out Sweeney Todd. There are a million other things that I can't even bare to go off on because I don't have a chocolate cake in front of me, but this is what I could muster. Why a 5 star review? These ladies OBVIOUSLY need money. The only explanation for the lack of customer service and the rushed jobs that everyone seemed to get has to be an unimaginable extenuating circumstance that makes these women worthy of compassion. If I could give zero stars I would. This place regards to being rundown had the worst service. When it came to doing my nails ( I can't recall her name most likely the owner) she seemed rushed going back and forth to other customers. I never told her I needed to be done a certain time; yet, she seemed in a hurry to get me out the door. I just received a gel pedicure (good thing) but the overall outcome was messy and cut incorrectly. (I normally go to the nail salon in the Carlsbad mall. Which always does a great job and worth the money spent.) I just decided to check this place out since I always drive by, but I will never come back again. On top of it all they don't follow through with their listed prices as I over heard the other women say the prices displayed are incorrect so why even have a sign? I only bring this up as I was over charged. The owner had nerve to take even more money before returning the money she owed me. Till she came to her senses but will go at all lengths to pressure you into purchasing more services or her collection of dirty old items on her display even her Avon. I was in dire need of a manicure yesterday (read my review of Joy Nails) and today found me with 45 min to spare. I was in Vista, waiting for my next appt to be available. So, I was using my shitty Android phone trying to locate the closest nail salon to no avail. Luckily, as I was unsafely driving and trying to Google "nail salons vista", I did have my eyes slightly on the road as well, and saw the welcome sign "Princess Nails" complete with a very old looking banner touting the "new shellac manicures" that "last more than 2 week on real nail!" The place is pretty seedy looking. Did not look especially shiny and clean. Kind of a dump, honestly. There was one lady drying her toes, and a big, old Italian guy that had his male companion/caregiver waiting for him as he was getting a Mani AND Pedi. LOL on that part. Not that a guy was there, that's not that uncommon. Just the whole set up was funny. I digress. I was worried. But, my nails look pretty good. They have my favorite CND color, the iridescent sheer peachy-green-ish color that is not such a bear to remove as the Gellish and Opi brands. I was in a rush...and I asked her if we could be done in 30 minutes. So, I had to succumb to the DRILL for removing my current Gel Polish. I hate that. But, I agreed to it because I was in a time crunch. From Nail #1 (painless) to Nail #10 (painful) the drilling was more aggressive. But, I told her I was in a hurry and honestly she did not have the time to soak my nails and manually scrape the gel off. Not her fault. So, yes, they do soak off Gel unless you're me and always in a mad dash to get to the next thing. $25 for the Mani. My minus 2 stars is just for the condition of the place itself. Needs to look and feel cleaner. I am not a freak about the hazards of getting an infection...although that's never happened to me (knock on wood). I am not usually in that area so it's not going to be on my regular rotation, but the manicure looks good, I am pleased with that, and I wouldn't NOT go here again. read more

She rushed th painting process which ended up horrible. I spent 3 hours in this place and was extremely dissatisfied. I tried to leave a few times and she grabbed me and sat me back down. I got a manicure with gel nails done by terry. She was very helpful and kind to me. She offered me good treatments and great prices. Terry took her time and my nails came out perfect for a wedding i was going to attend to the next day. She also gave me a great deal for a pedicure. I told them that i had a big bruise on my toe nail and i wasnt sure if i wanted to paint it. They assured me it would be totally safe and my nail would look great. Usually the places i go to dont treat your feet as well as this other lady here treated my feet. I forget her name but she was wonderful! The way she was massaging my feet, caring for them and not even disgusted of my toenail bruise. This lady was so sweet and hospitable that she reminded me so much of my mother. She then brought me some pedi sandals and even put them carefuly on me. I felt so pampered! I walked to the back to get my eyebrows waxed for the amazing price of $5 and they did a very professional job. I was truly blown away by their care and services. I had a few hours to spare and I had seen a sign saying they offered $15 gel manicures. When I walked in, no one greeted me and there was only three people working on this Friday. I sat and noticed that the walls were plastered with old "Avon" jewelry that looks dusty and tarnished and actual old Avon skin care products that were for sale. The gel sample nails were in old dingy crinkled bags. The whole place just seemed dusty, dirty, and stale. When the lady started with me she told me that it was actually $15 for just the gel polish but if I wanted my nails filed and the cuticles "manicured" it would be $20. When she began she was alternating with me and another lady in the salon. She asked me about wanting to buy the jewelry about 5 times. I have been going to Terri and her staff for a pedicure for about the last seven or eight years. As someone who has systemic arthritis, is it has become part of my care routine to have a monthly pedi. I have gone to other places and not received that genuine care that I get from everyone at Princess Nails. They know exactly what I want, pink paint on my little toes and purple paint with flowers on my big toes, turn the TV to the food channel and catch up on each other's lives. I went to get a Shelac manicure at Princess Nails. I had existing polish to get removed. The woman scraped so much of the top layer of my nail that my nails feel thin and brittle. The Shelac was supposed to last for at least 2 weeks on the flyer but 3 of my nail tips already chipped and this was just the third day. I had gone to spend time with a friend but I will NEVER return. The manicurist left traces of the old polish on my nails, and the old polish they're using already lifted on my nails. The woman was ready to apply the top coat without even clipping my cuticles. There are air bubbles on every nail. I am very disappointed with this manucure and service. read more
