I don't know, I can't shower God Bless Deli with unqualified praise, because of the way it makes me feel when I order and gorge on chicken tenders with fries after a period of alcohol induced inhibition release, which causes me to do questionable things like order chicken tenders with fries. How does it make me feel? It makes me feel gross. But it tastes good. The people who run God Bless Deli, AKA USA Deli, at some point to be named God Bless America Deli, these people are pretty nice and courteous. They really do work a lot. I love these guys. They are as inexpensive as you'll get for a deli in Greenpoint. Believe me--as soon as I moved in, I checked out every single one. My Greenpoint nights would be decidedly darker without it. I am in love with the egg and cheese sandwich. I am a slow, slow eater, and I tend to eat like an anorexic or something. This sandwich is always totally devoured by me in about 1 minute. I fucking love it. Their fries are good, but ask for ketchup on the side. If you don't, they will come blanketed under a mound of ketchup. Who knows though, maybe you're into that type of thing. I don't judge. They have a good beer selection, and I love the 35-cent snacks over by the canned goods. Zebra cake? They've got it. My boyfriend loves the Cheeseburger deluxe, which is cheap and comes with fries or onion rings. He just told me that his favorite thing is the fried chicken hero, if you care. read more

God Bless Deli is another hybrid 24 hour grill / convenience store. Should compete well with the other stores in the areas. My only input is a comparison of burgers. At $3.49 for a cheeseburger with fries, GBD faires well with its competitors. Better deal in terms of amount of food as compared to Greenpoint Finest Deli, but the burger is orders of magnitude better at GFD than at GBD. read more
