We got a pack of 8 chocolates (admittedly they did cost a pretty penny haha), which ranked from my most to least favorite are: 1. Horchata: So good, the horchata essence hit me as soon as I took a bite. Very cinnamony, very milky & creamy. 2. Passionfruit: I'm a sucker for anything passionfruit. The curd-like filling did not taste artificial at all. 3. Almond cardamom: Topped with a real almond, but more cardamom forward, reminded me of chai. 4. Hazelnut sassy monkey: Distinguished more coffee than banana, but it was there. Also liked the layer of crunch. 5. Raspberry lychee: The raspberry jam was strong and tasty, the floral essence from lychee was subtle. 6. Sesame matcha: Surprisingly citrusy? I did taste some bitterness from the matcha and appreciated the earthy sesame crust. 7. Ube: Sadly did not detect much ube flavor. 8. Earl grey lavender: Definitely the prettiest, but tasted like what I imagine soap would taste like. In terms of whether the chocolate is worth the price: I've never had this experience of trying such diverse and interesting chocolate flavors before so it was for me. Ambiance is nice, I think there was only outside seating. There's good parking nearby in the Brightleaf lots or on W Pettigrew St. Service was fast and friendly. 8/10 would recommend!

I don't know how I've never eater at Parker and Otis before, man I've been missing out!!…read more I was the first in line on a lovely Saturday afternoon, but wow that quickly changed. By the time I placed my order, at least 10 other people had come in. Since it was my first time, I asked for suggestions, Randy was so helpful. I was so hungry and everything sounded really good. I ordered the Shrimp BLT, a Fluffernutter Latte and a Ham & Cheese Croissant (for breakfast tomorrow). Oh my stars, the Shrimp BLT was pure perfection, every bite. The coffee was so good. There's plenty of seating inside and outside! It's super cute inside. The store part has all the cutest and neatest stuff and the food part has so many options. They even have grab and go items. They serve breakfast until 2:30. I'm already planning my next visit!!! Shoutout to Brian for making sure I had a great experience as well!!

They have a huge variety of items--from home goods and specialty foods to books, toys, kitchen items, and unique gifts. If you're specifically looking for locally made Durham souvenirs, there aren't a ton of local artisan items, but there are still some fun Durham-themed finds. I picked up an adorable "Meet Me in Durham" sticker that made the perfect keepsake from my summer here. Definitely worth stopping in if you're downtown and have some time to explore. Plan for a crowd on Saturday mornings, but it's part of the lively atmosphere!

They crack those oysters there and then. Lots of fresh oyster liquor. Not some dried up tasteless oyster. I never once considered waffle fries with tartar sauce. Now, it's almost an addiction. We'll typically sit at the side bar area and chat with the employees, who are always friendly and knowledgeable about what they serve. And we'll grab a beer from the nearby bar- it is a food hall, after all- and enjoy a nice meal. They have new specials based on what's good, and they always make them tasty. We love this spot. Always on our rotation.

Plenty of seating since it's shared with all the other vendors. Being that it's in a food hall, if someone in your party doesn't particularly care of Locals, they can easily get something different. This is a huge selling point so that everyone can be happy and full. We ordered: - 4 grilled oysters - a dozen raw oysters - shrimp po boy (with generous portions of shrimp) - some huge fish, maybe snapper? - kale salad Everything about this place is so fresh. You never have to wonder how long it's sat there or if there has been enough patrons to keep the supply fresh. You know at Locals that everything is always on point. Highly recommend to anyone with a fresh seafood itch!

I'll start with the fact that they limit the number of people allowed to shop in the store and kindly ask people to wait their turn. I really appreciate this since the store is a little on the smaller side. They carry a variety of house plants, big and small, as well as planters/cover pots, stationary, gifts, dried flowers, and other cool items that would be great for any plant lover. The woman working was also very nice! I messaged them on Instagram a few days before I stopped by because I've been on the hunt for a peace lily and, lucky me, they had a couple in stock! I also walked away with a beautiful golden pothos (devil's ivy) because I'm a plant addict. I would say that their prices are fair and comparable to what I would normally spend on plants that I usually buy online so I'm happy. Even happier to get out of the house and to support a local Black-owned business. I didn't inspect the plants ~too~ much at the store before buying honestly (which i never recommend doing), but was really happy when I got home to see that they were in great shape and the soil was a nice aerated mix. Just needed to give the leaves a little cleaning with water and neem oil and they're shining! I have never been, but I live closer to their Raleigh location and will definitely make a point to stop by soon. Gotta keep up with my New Years goal of getting one new plant a month lol. Love this place! Definitely recommend stopping by and looking around.
