I am extremely disappointed and upset regarding the $105 fee your office is attempting to charge me simply for changing my appointment date. I have been a loyal patient of your office for years, and I never expected to be treated this way. Life happens, and sometimes scheduling conflicts arise that require patients to make adjustments. If I had not needed to make proper arrangements, I would not have changed my appointment. Charging a long-time patient such an excessive fee for rescheduling is unreasonable, unfair, and honestly insulting considering my loyalty to your practice over the years. This experience has completely changed my opinion of your office and how patients are valued. Because of this situation, I will not be returning as a patient moving forward. In addition, I am formally requesting a refund for the remaining balance of my dental savings plan since I no longer intend to continue services with your office. On my second visit to this office I went in for a routine cleaning. I was taken to a room where the hygienist used a water pik attached to a drill to clean my teeth. Afterward I ran my tongue around my teeth (like you do) and they did not feel clean. When the dentist came in she tried to convince me to replace my crown and whiten my teeth (the dentist 6 months earlier wanted to replace my old fillings) I did neither, my teeth are fine When I went to check out and reschedule for my next cleaning I told the receptionist that I had been scheduled for the wrong type of cleaning this visit and I want to make sue to schedule the regular cleaning on my next appointment. She looked in the computer and said that I had been put on a special treatment plan by the head hygienist and she couldn't change it. As she told it, I had been put on a periodontal plan (bad gums) and I would have to talk to the head hygienist so she could explain why I can't get a regular cleaning (even if I wanted it) At this office the "head hygienist" has the power to bully you into a service you never discussed or agreed to you are expected to go along with it because she says so. *WARNING* STAY AWAY! HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES! They made me put a $150 deposit down on a crown (I didn't know any better, to straight away run away when dentist offices make you do this), my aunt had a fatal heart attack the weekend before I was to go in, so I rescheduled for months later, another tragedy happened, my 41 year old cousin died and I missed my appointment, one of the nastiest people I've ever met (Maggie), told me they would not refund my $150 and they were keeping it! Even though I proved I lost these two family members! I immediately canceled my appointment I paid for, and they owed me $313.88 for dental work (keep in mind, they really owed me $313.88 PLUS $150), she refused to give me a refund until I thoroughly explained my situation, the deaths in my family, and I was immediately switching dentist offices that same day. Finally after she spoke to a higher up, she told me it would be 30 days until I got my refund (keep in mind, I literally just paid in person). I explained that I thought this was wrong because a lot of people can't afford to wait 30 days for a refund, thankfully, I can. About a week later I got a letter in the mail telling me I was discharged (remember, I switched dentists that very same day!), so it's rubbing salt in wounds of my dead family members. No empathy or sympathy at all!!!! 32 days later I received a refund, the officer manager never called me once, as they promised me would. I've dealt with businesses alllllll over the world, this one should be shut down. You all have been warned! Maggie also refused to initally give me a piece of paper saying they would refund my $313.88 until I demanded one repetitively. Unfortunately dentists are like used car salesmen. Either are not to be trusted. We had a great relationship. They took my money, took my insurance and fixed our teeth. Well they decided to stop taking MetLife Dental insurance that I pay 1500$ a year in premiums. And they did not tell me. A cleaning for my youngest son cost $250! I initially decided to go with GSD because I recently moved to the Pooler area and was looking to establish care closer to home. The hygienist Lindsay was really thorough and had a pleasant attitude. As she walked me to the front to check out whoever the billing person was lied to me about my coverage : stating the insurance did not cover both exam and cleaning (deep) same day . In addition she also wanted me to sign treatment agreement form in which she stated was just an overview of cost ---- misrepresentation of facts at best !!!! I called my insurance to verify my benefits and they 3way the call with the doctors office for clarification come to find out it was time issue they did not have enough time to do both. Had this been clearly explained I would gladly scheduled another appointment. But why lie and place the blame on the insurance company. I will also tell you that they also did not document accurate information as it was repeated back to me what the notes stated and it in fact was incorrect as confirmed by the insurance representative from CIGNA. I made emergency apt. due to having a lot of pain supposed to see a Doctor this Friday , I call to report I was running 5 minutes late due to traffic, got a call back stating that they only give 10 minutes grace period, I explain that in two occasions I had to wait 45 to one hour outside for my apt. IF you do not agree to this so-called "deep cleaning" they will NOT give you a regular cleaning even if you sign a waiver! I went in and the hygienist said she didn't feel comfortable doing a regular cleaning on me due to the fact that my numbers hadn't changed, so she says, I never once saw what my prior numbers were. The numbers I'm talking about are when they stick that metal pick in between your gums. Yes I had a few bad number but for her to say I could not get a regular cleaning is absurd. I picked this facility when I just moved here and needed emergency checking (turns out it wasn't as bad as I imagined) because they had available schedule on the same day. I didn't expect to get everything fixed on the first day due to past experiences at other states, but I was amazed by how fast the whole experience was and how friendly the staffs were. I was able to get the cleaning and 7 fillings done in only a couple of hours on the first visit. They addressed my every concern and was very patient and helpful the whole time. I'm not currently covered by dental insurance and the total cost was lower than my expectation with their annual payment plan. Buyer Beware! If I could give them a negative rating I would. This is a greedy money hungry office that have quotas to keep. Final cost: 275% over the original estimate without any additional work performed. I came in because of a cracked tooth due to grinding my teeth at night. I recently (within 6 months) had been to another dentist when I was working in North Carolina and I had all the work done they recommended, so it was not a case of my neglecting cleaning or maintenance. After a routine cleaning and examination, the dentist said I needed a crown on the cracked tooth (expected) and that I also had fillings that needed to be replaced and cavities (I'm belatedly questioning this). In the business office, I informed them my insurance benefits had been maxed out and I was having to pay 100% of the bill. I said if it was too expensive I could wait a few months until January when my annual insurance benefits were renewed to have the work done. They gave me an estimate and I agreed to have all the work done and paid them. Three months later they sent me a final bill that was 275% more than they originally quoted me. I sent two letters before I received a response and they were unapologetic, defensive, and arrogant. Needless to say, I will not be their customer anymore. My other complaint is that they won't give you a copy of the estimate or for that matter any paperwork. They want to email receipts for payments only with no details of the bill. Fortunately, I had taken a photo of their original estimate. After my letters, they locked me out of their online portal to see my medical records and refused to send my records to me after I had legally requested them. (Aggressive behavior) Note: I don't have a problem with the quality of work that was performed by the dental hygienist or the dentist. I went to Godley Station Dental in Pooler, Georgia for pain of a tooth on the right side of my mouth. Entry into this dental warehouse was impressive with all the cute furniture and art work. The hygienist was very nice and told me I need extensive deep cleaning and multiple appointments. Then the first dentist I saw, told me that I had a cracked tooth that would most likely have to be removed. After having this tooth extracted, they gave me an estimate of $4216 for an implant. Another Godley Station dentist found another crown that I had done at another dental office, was decayed and would need to be extracted and replaced. This made me suspicious. I made an appointment with my old dentist that did the original root canal and crown, that they told me was bad. My previous dentist looked at the xray and said that the crown just needed to be re bonded using the same crown, no decay and no need for extraction. My original dentist office gave me an estimate of $2812 for an implant, or $1231 for bridge, where Godley extracted the tooth, and $34 to re-bond the loose crown. Godley wanted $630 to remove and replace the loose crown. A local discount dentures and implant dentist advertises implants for $1200. Godley Station Dental is obviously ripping off their customers with exorbitant charges and pushing unneeded procedures. I'm going back to my old dentist. read more

The staff is friendly and professional. They use current technology equipment and are trained for a wide array of dental work. The prices are much lower than the dentists in the Puget Sound area. You get cookies when you are done with your appt! Oddly enough they took my Washington Delta Dental, but not my Georgia BCBS insurance, but it is crappy insurance. read more

Nice clean facility, however I was appalled that they charged debit, credit , hsa, and fsa cards a 4% fee! That's nuts, also like other yelpers said when they send a bill it is not itemized . I liked my dentist, however I don't like their business practices. Update 7/16/19 Ms. Kandi reached out to me and let me know the 4% fee was an error. There is only a 4% charge for credit cards, she was very nice and even gave me my 4% back. I am so happy because I really got great service there. Please do yourself a favor and find another dentist office. I have been going here for several years and never met the dentist that my insurance says is in network and pays. The women in the front who handles the scheduling and the billing are so incompetent! They have alot of bad reviews out here because of it. (please read the other reviews don't just take my experience and word for it) They send out bills with no explanations on them, when you call the office they have long wait times, they continue to pass you to other people in the office who are just guessing as to what the bill is even for. After each visit I would get a bill and have to call them for an explanation since again, it's just a bill with an amount you owe, nothing else. They always say things like.. "I think or it might have been for" instead of knowing for sure. They put you on hold for long periods of time without checking back in with you. A simple question sometimes can mean you are on the phone for 30 minutes with them. If a patient walks up while they are talking to you, they will tell you the patient in the office comes first and put you on hold. I have even had to call my insurance company to try and figure things out that they couldn't when it came down to my bill and what I owed them. Alot of things that was in question they should have known. I have not really experienced any problems with the dental hygienist or the work they have done there. It's just really frustrating having to deal with the billing aspect of it and trying to get them to comprehend what they should already know. Example: They continued to try and bill my secondary insurance before my primary and it doesn't work that way, even after telling them several times. If you call and ask to speak with an office manager you will never get through, this manager (Ms. Diane) is always in a meeting or out of the office on a family emergency. You will never get a call back. Your stuck with the same few people who don't know their jobs and pass you back and forth. My son went from having no problems or issues to needing four fillings all at once, all in one visit, this is with him going to the dentist twice a year for his cleanings and xrays. I have several co workers who are having problems with them as well, we all have the same insurance and they are going through the same thing. They are also looking for another dentist office. If you have a credit on your account they will not tell you, if you happen to pay attentsion to the EOB's (the break down from your insurance company) and call this dental office about it, you will get the run around in trying to get them to release the funds to you. I was hoping that this dental office would make some changes, I did not want to have to find another dentist office because this Pooler location is very convenient for us to get to, great office hours and the office is clean. However, we will drive out of our way to find an overall good dentist office. My Husband was just about to go to them as well, as a new patient, now instead of them losing two patients they have lost three and hopefully more. Godley Station Dental has completely changed my view of a dentist's office. From the start, their new patient process was a breeze and the receptionist was very friendly and professional. Yvette is the best dental assistant I've ever encountered! Not only did she explain every step of my two appointments, but she answered any questions I had, which made me feel soo comfortable and relaxed not having to wonder what was being done. Thanks to all who sincerely posted a review. I see now why last year Rebecca of Godley Station in Pooler, GA asked me to write a review and gave me 3 names to mention. She broke the guideline rules. I felt coerced to write a review to make them look good. She wanted rave reviews from me. I wrote a positive review. Meeting with Rebecca and the office workers about my account encouraged me to review everything. I felt leary. I reviewed their account and contacted my insurance companies. Payment records were not up to par. I paid $60. as a down payment for crown work to be completed at the next visit. I am a senior citizen with spinal stenosis and a bulging disk in my Lumbar area. I called them the morning of my appointment before the office opened and left a message that I was sick and needed to reschedule. Rebecca and the office manager charged me $150.00 for being sick. I was appalled by that experience! I was disrespected on many levels. That was a blessing in disguise and forced me to realize that consumers were being manipulated and robbed. I finally received a statement this year stating that I owe them $63.+. I reminded Rebecca that they owe me $60.00 back because I never returned for crown work. On my last visit, I paid them what they said was my balance. Therefore, I left there with a zero balance. Yet last month, I received a statement for $63.00. The games that people play! My rights are being violated. I will get legal advice at this point! What they are doing to customers is insane and for their benefit only. Customer service is not excellent. They billed for a dentist that my insurance company said was not an authorized provider. If you are still going there, know now that you are being played! Leave!! It only takes one bad experience to lose a patient for life. I had gone to Godley station for a few years and had generally good experiences. However during my last visit I left feeling patronized and that the doctor/technician didn't actually care about the medical care they were providing. As a patient I should be able to comfortably ask questions about any procedures so that I not only understand why something needs to be done but what to expect during and after. My questions were NOT answered satisfactorily but they were answered with the attitude one might express to a small child that annoys them. Additionally I was not allowed to sit up while having this discussion even after asking to be sat upright. I felt like I was being scolded and needed to simply fall in line because it's what's best for me. I absolutely appreciate that any doctor has gone through years of school/training and certainly should know what is good for a patient (that is why we go to them; they know more than us). I do not expect any doctor to explain every detail to me but if I am being respectful, I expect to be treated respectfully as well and I certainly have every right to want to understand what care is being done to my body. Communication is not a bad thing so if you don't want to explain the what and whys to a patient then perhaps you didn't really want to be a doctors. read more

I have never in my life had a surprise $2000 at any dentist or medical office, but I got one here. I strongly caution anyone who may be using this office or contemplating it, the will not provide accurate information for dental insurance coverage/billing information. When I asked how I could possibly have a $2000 bill, stating I would have delayed scheduling my last crown and cavity, I got a shrug and was asked if I had gotten a statement from my insurance company. Watch your account folks. Godley Station Dental billed me and my insurance company for the same service over two years ago. When they received the insurance check they retained the fee I paid and then did not issue a check to me or notify me of a credit that was over $1400 on my account. The credit was discovered when my wife went there and she was informed of the credit when she went to pay for a visit. It has been over 6 months that I have called repeatedly and tried to get a check issued to me. On several occasions I was told that a check would be immediately issued to me. I still have not received a check. It is hard to believe that this is a repeated mistake. read more

my kids went there for teeth cleaning with me, and I got my teeth cleaned too. They were in a different room from me and the cleaning was so short and was about 10 minutes. They did x-rays and pictures of our teeth, and never mentioned to me anything to me about the payment of the x-rays and pictures of my kids and I. After the cleaning the doctor came to look at the teeth for 5 minutes and then left. The service took about 30 minutes in all. I received a bill that charged each of my kids $521 for the cleaning. They told me my insurance would pay more than half of it, and I pay $706. I told them every 6 month my kids have cleanings with other dentals, and with my insurance i don't pay anything for the cleaning. They said they charged the x-ray, the pictures of the teeth, and the fluoride used on my kids. They didn't even ask me while they did it on my kids. Does anyone know what I can do to avoid the payment ,or any lawyer offices that can help me because I don't want that to happen to another family with kids like my family. read more

I have been coming to Godley Station Dental since May of last year. I have had several procedures done and dealt with a lot of inconsistencies and unneeded stress from your office. Let start with my visits on 5/8 and 6/28 my insurance provider (Cigna) had contacted your office back in November as they had never received claims from your office from either visit after I received a bill for over $900. They called on several occasions trying to talk to someone to get the claims so they could process them and pay. I called on several occasions asking someone to submit the claims as well as asking the billing office to give me a call back. I called for almost a week straight (for which I can provide phone records) only to be told someone would call me back the following day, no one EVER called back. It wasn't until January that those claims were actually sent over. They have since been paid, the office states they have yet to receive payment. I called my insurance company who provided reference numbers and dates for payments. All of the claims from 5/8-current have officially been paid as of 2/9/19 via EFT. I spoke with the receptionist on several occasions over the past few weeks to discuss why I have paid almost double the contracted amount you have with Cigna. I have not yet received a straight answer. Cigna has requested that I send over all the estimates that were given to me as well as copies of payments rendered as apparently it is fraudulent to charge the patient more than the contracted amount. On 5/8 I paid $162 when I should have only paid $52.20. On 6/28 I again paid $162 when I should have only paid $92.20. Again on December 11/January 11 for two root canals, crowns, and three fillings I paid a total of $1165.00 for services rendered when I should have only paid $667.60. On all of my estimates the contracted amount with Cigna is different than the contracted amount shown on the estimates. This seems to be around $677 overpayment on my part. I have yet to receive any sort of refund or even an apology for claims not being submitted. I wish I could say this was my only issue with Godley Station Dental. In June of 2018 I had brace placed on my teeth by another orthodontists office. They called the week prior to the braces being place to assure all work had been done on teeth and it was safe to place the braces. They refused to place anything until Godley Station gave them the okay. In December when I came in for my cleaning I was told by Dr. Hatch that I needed two root canals and crowns places. I had to go back to my orthodontist's office to have hardware removed. They sent over the wrong information which caused the office to remove the incorrect hardware. When we tried to call for clarification no one answered the phone. I eventually called the emergency line where I was told they could not help me since they were closed, but since they had caused me to incur more time off work to go back to have the correct hardware removed and another bill from my orthodontist from a second visit because they didn't know which hardware to remove in the first visit and only took off the brackets on the three teeth discussed that Godley Station would reimburse me for the cost of the office visit. I have yet to be reimbursed. When I came in at 7am on January 11 to have the crowns placed and a three fillings redone I was told that I was not on the schedule and asked to wait for them to figure it out. Forty five minutes later they were able to fit me. I work as a counselor and if I do not see clients I do not get paid. The 45 minute delay due to the scheduling issue on your end cost me a visit with one client. The receptionist was very rude even after I showed her the text I received confirming my appointment that day at 7am days prior (I received 2). During my visit Dr. Hatch informed me that the braces should have never been placed because I needed two root canals prior. This was the first I had heard that. Dr. Allen had approved my braces to go on and never mentioned anything about a root canal. If that was the case the work would have been completed prior to save me the inconvenience of trying to do it later and extending the time I have to wear braces. When Dr. Hatch looked in the computer she verified that there was evidence that the work needed to be done, but that no one had counseled me on having it done or tried to set up another visit. I am very disappointed at the treatment I have received from the office staff, if it hadn't been for the care, compassion, and customer service I received from Dr. Hatch and the red headed woman assisting her I would have never came back read more

The dentists and hygienists did a nice job. My complaint is with the business practice. First, they were responsible for breaking one of my husband's teeth and then charged us with the repair. Failing to inform me that my insurance had run out, they did over 1 $1500 worth of work. They kept calling me to come in and get more work done, and I had to remind them that I had no insurance coverage until the beginning of the year. This practice cost my family a lot of money! Don't go here! I relocated to Pooler and this was the closest dentist to my house that took my insurance. I wish I had read their Google or filtered yelp reviews before going to them. Personal experience - I told them I relocated from out of state and my previous dentist had all of my x-rays if they needed them. They said no problem but took new ones anyway. Later, I get a $79 bill saying a set was not covered and it was my responsibility to know which x-rays my insurance will cover. At that point I should of gone somewhere else, but I returned because I only wanted a crown replaced. More than 2 months later I still have their poor attempt at a temporary crown on. Within the 2 months I had gone to the office for the permanent but they couldn't get it to fit right. They sent me home and said they would rush the crown to get fixed but couldn't fit me in to get it placed until after the holiday. Additional details to my visit I didn't appreciate: -The first time I met Dr. Allen he never even introduced himself. He sat down and threw a needle in my mouth without even a warning at what was coming. -After getting the initial crown work done they told me I would be expected to pay in 2 payments. First payment after the prep and mold and second after the permanent was placed. I made the first payment as asked, but after they were unable to place the permanent I was told that nothing was due until the next visit when they would try again with the permanent. The next day I had a missed call from them. I returned the call for them to ask me when I was going to pay my outstanding balance. While waiting for my appointment, I received 2 bills in the mail and another phone call having to explain why there was still a balance. I had no problem paying the second half I just think I should have the work done before I pay for something I haven't received yet. -They also added an additional $12 to my bill that was never submitted to my insurance, I called my insurance and was told that nothing should be charged that didn't have an insurance code. Great hygienist but bad doctors. Was told I needed a few filling and ended up needing more work because of procedural error. Was told I would need a 2 root canals and crowns. I decided to get a 2nd and 3rd opinion, both Drs said that RCT was not necessary but would need crowns since they dug so deep into the tooth. One star is more than I care to offer, but it's the only way I can post my complaint. The office is nice and the service was great, however, the patient statement I received was UNACCEPTABLE!! It was addresses to my husband "because he's the insured," and it had "balance forward" and his amount that has been PAID. No where did it have my name or an itemization of my services. When I called Diane said to get my insurance EOB and that she'd send me an itemized bill (which I should have gotten in the first place.) we will not return as they don't care about how they bill their patients and avoid unnecessary work and calls. read more

The staff was very pleasant but but billing is another story. They are very rude and misleading. My 6yr. old son went in for a filling. I was never told that their office does not do silver fillings. Nor was I told that my insurance did not cover composites. We are a military family and I am certain we are not the only patients they have that are military, so they aware of what is covered and what is not. I feel blindsided by them. I feel that they were very shady about not explaining in detail the procedure and what would and would not be covered. They day of the work I paid $116 and I just now received another bill for $112 a month later. I called several times to question the bill and never got a response back. Finally, the billing manager called me back and said that they assumed my insurance would pay but because they will not I have to pay the difference. When I questioned that she got very rude and told me it is not her or the office's responsibility to go over my coverage. That I should be aware of what will be covered. Is that not what she trained for as a billing manager? I am very disgusted with the shadiness and sneakiness of this office. I do not recommend anyone to go here. Yes, it is very lovely inside. Almost spa like but looks can be deceiving. They seem to be more about appearances than having happy patients. read more

Tate Carpenter and her assistant Elaine were phenomenal. I was very nervous before arriving and they both made me feel at ease and made the process very comfortable for me. I also appreciated the fact that there was no wait after showing up on schedule for my appointment.
