Hence, the whole house needed painting - inside and out. Highlights of their excellent work: -- great attention to detail. In fact, Dennis is here now making sure every nick and scratch that inevitably happens in a move is taken care of and disappears. -- always on time -- always clean up everything they mess up. Peter came by once to look at the job, then once with the first worker. Then, I never saw Peter again. The first worker hung the drywall, and when I asked him if he'd put the insulation in first he said he wasn't paid to do that and maybe Peter would add it from the top. When I reminded him it's all boarded over in the attic and you can't add it from the top, he just said it wasn't his problem and I should ask Peter. Since he didn't put down any plastic, he left a huge mess and a pile of drywall scraps in my living room. Over the next 3 weeks, he'd send 4 random workers over. Peter would text me the night before sending someone, and usually he didn't know where the job was at so would want to send someone over for things they weren't ready for yet. Every worker that showed up didn't know what the job was, and I had to explain it all to them. They all told me that Peter didn't tell them the work was above a stairwell. They'd call Peter, and he'd convince them just to do it. They they'd precariously balance on the railing over the open stairwell to get the work done, doing a lot of damage to the railing in the process. At the end, they textured and painted it, but painted it an off-white that was way off from the rest of the ceiling. When I asked Peter about this he said the hardware stores do the paint matching, so it's not his fault. Then he never responded to anything else. We had to hire a new painter to finish the job, who was able to match the color without problem. However, he told me that every part of Choice Interiors work was done improperly, so it's never going to look great. The drywall was hung too low, and the texturing was done so poorly that it'll always be real clear it's been patched. I'm sure he quoted a low price, but everything involving him is shady and the work was done incompetently. Avoid working with Peter.

We felt this could greatly improve our home, and a designer was needed to get the best return on the work. Kaitlyn was essential to our process. Preparation is Key. We used photos and ideas from magazines, websites and other sources to show your designer. We started by identifying our "needs" and "wants". Then we went to determine what's most important to you to help manage costs. The team walked through each item on our list to understand function and cost. We went shopping to look at fixture options. Having a general idea of the fixtures you like (tubs, sinks, etc.) is helpful, as their dimensions affect the design. It's best establish a budget range so the designer can make recommendation. Kaitlyn helped us through the process, and we went over budget so my tips may help. She offered alternatives however we like what we like. The best part of the process was the communication. The portal used to send updates worked great. Kaitlyn allowed us to express our ideas, preferences, and concerns clearly and honestly. She took all of that and worked out a layout that was far beyond our dreams. She kept us actively involved in the design process and provide timely feedback. All the right steps were taken during the design process. TheRemodelGroup maintained open communication with us and helped us create a beautiful and functional bathroom design that hopefully will meet our needs and enhance our home.

They followed through and met all the goals we mutually set. What really impressed me was how they accommodated some special needs we had. For medical reasons, I have to be able to take a bath approximately every 72 hours, though 48 is better. They made sure to set things up so that I never had to go more than three days without tub access. We did have a problem with one supplier, Kohler. They sent two subtly different colored shower wall panels. Though we looked at them outside before installation, because we hadn't checked them side by side once indoors, we didn't realize the mistake after installation took place. Kohler not only sent the wrong colored panels, they continued to shoot past every single delivery date they gave us for months. We were supposed to get the panels at the end of November. They didn't arrive until March and it upped the cost of the project because THE Remodel Group had to demo out what was first installed and then install the proper product. Because I approved what we saw before it was installed, they could have told me "Not our problem, you need to pay for it," but they didn't. They cut their rate for the demo and reinstall to labor only. Even months after the project was done, THE Remodel Group continued to advocate on our behalf for Kohler to reimburse us for that extra cost and yesterday, Steve delivered the check in person. While the project did have delays, it was out of THE Remodel Group's hands. Every single person I've ever talked with about having a contractor work on the house has had horror stories about their contractors. While we did have a problem with the project, THE Remodel Group was absolutely perfect. We recommend them to anyone and everyone. They will be our first and only call when we want to remodel our other bathroom and kitchen in the future.

When he answered I said "Hi this is the client". He had no clue who I was or what company I was referring to, after meeting with me and being on the job site an hour earlier. On the phone he spoke to me like he was in a rush and as if he was talking to a friend of his and not a client. Is quote was reasonable; not the lowest and not the highest. His staff was polite, efficient with time and made sure the work area was cleaned up each day, making sure the gate to the back yard was always shut to ensure the safety of our new puppy. In the busiest time of the year, Carlos kept us informed on when they anticipated to start on our project. The project actually started sooner than I had anticipated and I had not selected the house colors! He recommended using Benjamin Moore on Powell and to work with their color consultant. She was amazing. Carlos also went out of his way to show me pictures and to bring color samples by the house to help in the decision making process. Having to travel prior to final color selection was difficult. Carlos was flexible, rearranging the order of painting, to accommodate travel and to ensure that we would be happy with the final color selection. Once the project started he did a thorough walk around identifying rotting regions around windows and doors and personally replaced rotten wood and caulking all holes, cracks,etc. The end product is beautiful. We went with a beautiful, rich, blue with cream trim and black accents that compliment the style of our home.
