Great customer service. Fast service. Good was delicious. We ordered the fried calamari, spider rolls and Godzilla rolls. Delicious!

if there was only another sushi place on this block... sigh... went here twice in one week and that was more than enough. Small portions, high prices, bland fish, uninspired rice.

    Godzilla Roll (amazing!)

I came in on a day they weren't busy so we had the waitresses full attention. The service was very quick and accommodating! The sushi was AMAZING and very fresh, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. We ordered some nigiri pieces as well as a nice roll Recommendations: GODZILLA ROLL! Sake salmon toro nigiri Hamachi toro nigiri Scallop nigiri

First of all I loved the the Godzilla themed decorations, it was retro and captures the essence of Japanese Kaiju culture. They also sell merch if you're interested in that! Food wise, I really liked their hamachi and toro sashimi. Sooo bomb, and the freshness was palpable, without that old fishy smell. Price wise it was about $45 for two, so fairly reasonable for us. I got the Godzilla roll as well and it was so tasty. Best part about eating the food was not getting that crash or food coma when I usually eat. Service was attentive, albeit it was empty, I felt welcomed by our server and the sushi chef. Solid spot for dates and I would like to return again!

Sushi for Two - Spicy Tuna & Kamikaze (Salmon)
    Emily L.

Honestly...was just lacking. We ordered to-go and got the Sushi For Two combo with the Spicy Tuna roll and the Kamikaze. Although the set did come with an assortment of sides, we just thought it wasn't worth it for the quality. The rolls were much smaller than we expected and the fish didn't taste fresh at all. The coloring and texture of the tuna in our Spicy Tuna roll was also a bit questionable. You could probably get more bang for your buck if you just get regular rolls over this combo, but I wouldn't expect much or go out of my way for this spot.

    Some decoration of this place.

We ordered ssushi combo D. 4 pc sashimi 4 pc nigiri with miso soup and green salad for 26,95 only. That was good price for those delicios food. Nigiri was big , fish was so fresh. I love it. i would go back this place again.

On a sushi craving as of late and was on a lookout for a combo meal. Enter Godzilla Sushi. As you can guess, the moniker gives away the theme of the place - Godzilla! And of course the fare is sushi, duh :) I enjoyed the spacious and bright space. The staff is super friendly and attentive. I did come on a Friday so there was no one and they may not have had a choice (kidding of course :)) Anyway, I enjoyed a combo, which I don't find too often in the city anymore. The fish was fresh, but I can tell the grade wasn't the best. I would skip the tobiko quail egg nigiri. I was expecting it to be salmon wrapped so not what I wanted. I'd be back for a quick meal if I'm ever in the area.

I did love the atmosphere and vibe of this restaurant. Vintage Godzilla posters were entertaining. Of course we had to try the Godzilla roll. I couldn't taste the BBQ sauce which was nice. I was worried it would take away from my sushi experience. The roll was a lot smaller then we expected and average on taste. The service was quick and in an clean environment. I did enjoy hanging out there.

I was looking for a place to watch the warriors final and luckily I stumbled across this place!! Godzila sushi is a laid back sushi spot with bar and regular seating. (No outdoor seating) Only one bathroom Our server was very kind and so hard working! So was the chef!! It took us a while to get our dishes but it was well worth it. We ordered the miso soup (8/10) lacked a little flavor, the sake and maguro niri (10/10) soooo delicious! It tasted so fresh. The only thing I would like to note is that the rolls came apart easily. Usually theyre more compact but it was a minor detail. Still delicious! We got the Cindy, Destroyah roll and Tinky Winy roll. The were all honestly so delicious but I HIGHLY recommend the tinky winky and cindy roll (SO GOOD) We ordered hot sake and the Asahi beer. I really enjoyed drinking the Asahi. For dessert we ordered a mango mochi and it was bomb!!!! We left with very happy stomachs:) I would definitely come again

My company had their holiday party here so there was an assortment of sashimi, nigiri, and rolls to try along with gyoza, karaage and ika. Ambiance is really lively and eclectic with the godzilla artwork, and service was great. The salmon and yellowtail sashimi were my favorite.

    Crazy Salmon Roll
    Johnny V.

Came here late night, hour before closing. They were able to accommodate my dog at the bar seating area, but not in the regular seating which was completely fine! Was a nice vibe, small place. Food was pretty good, I enjoyed their miso soup and the crazy salmon roll, everything was generally pretty solid, though I will say that the sushi rolls were a bit small for the price. That being said, it was still a nice experience regardless of the portions being small for the price.

Delicious sushi with amazing service. The owner is kind and is so amazing. That's figuring out what I like to eat best.. the sushi practically melts in your mouth

Creamy, briny uni on warm crisp toast, rich without being heavy. Highly recommend! The donburis are gorgeous. One of the best sushi spots in the Mission, and honestly in the conversation for best in the city!

I got the tuna donburi which definitely hit the spot while my friends got the sake donburi, and some specialty rolls. They really enjoyed it! 5/5 for food quality and taste. Now for the reason of 4/5 which I may even opted for 3.5/5 if it were available. We were the first group of 9 to come in right at opening and were told that because we had a large group everyone was required to spend $70. That's not hard to hit considering you're eating out at a sushi restaurant, but the fact that we were told to spend at least $70 a person in order to be seated is crazy! We even asked what was recommended and the seasonal donburi or sake was the most popular. So now we went for those options, but still had to make up the remaining $32 per person that went for the sake donburi. Some people that didn't even want to drink opted for beer because they already got matcha next door. Service charge was already included yet the requirement to spend $70 a person just to dine here is ridiculous. I would come back, but not with a group of more than 4. Anyone that has friends or colleagues of more than 4 go elsewhere!

I love Rintaro and it's truly some of the best and most authentic Japanese food you can get in SF…read more I started with the yosedofu which is their housemade silken tofu served with shaved katsuobushi and shitake soy sauce. It's a great cold dish to start. Then we got the oden with the mochi filled tofu purse, beef tendon and fish ball. Really yummy and the tendon is so silky soft. Then finally we shared chicken oyster skewers, chicken thigh and green onion skewers, the pork katsu and tuna don. It was really fantastic meal and good progression ending with the final rice dish. The skewers have a great charcoal taste and we loved the seaweed they give you with the tuna rice to make little wraps with. It's a really delicious combination. My only complaint would be that the back room is a but stuffy and doesn't have much air flow. I'd definitely try to sit in the front room or on the patio if the weather is nice. It's quite difficult to get a reservation and my friend had to book it a month out. We ordered the $90 set menu and opted to get the $15 sashimi add on with 3 additional cuts that include Japanese uni. I thought it was a great deal for just the uni alone! Unfortunately it wasn't the best uni I've had - the flavor was pretty lacking, but at least it didn't taste bitter or foul. Can't really complain for the price. Most of the other dishes were pretty simple, but very well made. The chicken katsu had a perfect panko crisp on the outside. The udon was handmade with great texture - but had no additional protein besides an egg. My favorite part was the hojicha panna cotta at the end. Overall, the dishes were not very creative or memorable in any way if you've been to Japan before. But it's rare to find authentic and high quality Japanese meals in Bay Area and this is one of them. Also I was still a bit hungry after the meal :c
