    Regular Bowl
    Rachel L.

Lots of fresh veggies to choose from. The bowl was yummy, but I feel like the poke was more so on the bland side compared to other spots. The fish was nice and soft and decently fresh. Place itself was casual and clean, and the workers were nice and welcoming. I don't think this spot is anything special but not a bad option if you're craving a healthy bowl of poke.

We got a pretty affordable poke bowl here, and they even had a catch of the day: real snow crab! A regular sized bowl for $15.99 is honestly such a great price for a poke bowl with snow crab and salmon. The portions for the regular size was also good too. Workers were super nice, but it was a little hard to see the food through the window since the writing was blocking part of the view. Overall, I would go here again, it made a great lunch for our meal at the park!

Very fresh and the service was efficient and friendly! The small bowl with two proteins was very filling and I enjoyed the Thai tea as well!

I have been coming to grab poke since they've opened and i must say, they are very stingy and greedy with the portion lately. They were almost closing and they still decided to put as little as possible in my bowl. The person helping me was rude as well. This is bummer because I've recommended this place to so many people but now i will not. I literally have three to four pieces of Hawaiian salmon portion of protein. This is disappointing.

Nice little poke place close to the Fillmore. Went here before a concert and got some poke bowls. They have a lot of options for toppings and sauces. Nice number of toppings even on the small bowls. I got mine with brown rice, salmon and tuna, the shoyu sauce, seaweed, omelette and some more toppings. Was a really satisfying bowl with some nice bites. Only complaint would be that they skimp a bit on the fish portions. Still, would definitely return here.

Super fresh, so delicious, and filling poke for a really reasonable price! The regular bowl is just under $15 which is a price I haven't seen for poke in a while. The salmon in particular was buttery soft, and the marinated salmon was extremely flavorful. I went a little too crazy on sauces -- if I came back to get a marinated protein option, I'd probably only pick 1-2 non-soy based ones. :') Service was speedy and thorough, and the restaurant itself is kept super clean.

It's been so long since I had a sushi burrito and I throughly enjoyed eating this over getting my usual poke bowl. Fresh fish, great flavors, variety of toppings & seasonings, and service was quick. My boyfriend and I got 2 burritos mine (build your own) and his (salmon lover) they came out to around $37ish with tip, not too bad on pricing! wish the burritos were a tad bigger but besides that solid poke spot.

The food tastes fresh, the customer service is great, and the ambience is perfect. I came here visiting from central Cali and my kids got hungry. This was closest to the painted ladies, so we decided to eat here. I love how fast and efficient the restaurant is. It's a great place for families with kids, just not that big.

I made my own bowl w/ salmon for protein and everything except for a few items. They had a great selection.

To the woman who assisted me today, 3/9 at 3:45pm: THANK YOU!!!! The absolute best customer service was provided and I was extremely thankful, especially since I was on a time crunch and literally had not ate anything all day. It was my first time here and I will definitely be returning. The woman was friendly, helpful, and extremely professional. She even put saran wrapped my food to ensure that nothing spilled. Also the food itself was amazing. I purchased a larger bowl and added a scoop of real crab salad. Kimchi is not my favorite, but I'm so glad I gave it a try here because it was so good. The establishment overall was clean and in an okay location. I can't wait to come back!

Poke by the (1/2) pound - shoyu salmon

I like that they have Inari and sell poke by the pound for $25. However, the Hawaiian Shoyu Salmon I got was pretty slimy, I'm not sure if that was the intended texture.

TLDR: When you're at the heart of Japan town, you have to embody the nation in all the good ways…read more Kui Shin Bo, embodied the nation's backbone of being average to above average in multiple things. This place covers many of the basics (rolls, ramen, tempura, yakisoba, teriyaki, unagi). I really only see it as a jack of all trades, but a master of none. It doesn't mean that this restaurant has no place in Japantown, but it doesn't inspire confidence when it's located in an isolated region of the mall with less foot traffic, while its competition on the other wing has lines longer than the location's capacity. Black Garlic Ramen: It's always a mystery to me how black garlic improves a bowl of ramen. My expectations, however, remain the same. How thick is the broth? How clean is the broth when consumed? What is the quality of the chashu? Do I get enough noodles? I think the best part of this meal was the amount of soup they give, and the chashu was very good. It sucks that the chashu is tiny, but they did very well. I feel that the noodles were those wholesale ramen noodles that were portioned, and the garnish was fine. The broth was okay, 3.5-ish stars in terms of taste. Dynamite Roll and Volcano Roll: I think it's a problem if I have trouble identifying which is which. I can tell you that both are good enough to try, and the Volcano Roll comes with raw fish. Both come with a good crunch and a good sauce, but like most Japanese places that lean heavily into the rolls, good luck finding out what you ordered and what you just ate. Ambiance: Very classic Japanese. They're really at their best to convince you that you're in Japan. It may get tight during a busy day though. Service: Standard. You order, your water gets refilled, you pay, you leave.

I ordered the chicken katsu and beef teriyaki, which is served with rice, miso soup and salad--the perfect balance, and a bit of everything. The chicken was very crispy, the beefy teriyaki had a nice smoky flavor to it, the soup was nice and warm, the rice paired well and the salad was fresh and tasty. My sister ordered the Crispy Chicken Chili Creamy Ramen. I had some of her ramen and it was delicious as well! The overall, restaurant itself is a bit small but the food makes up for it. I would definitely return!

Conveyer belt sushi for the win!…read more I came here last minute because I needed somewhere quick to eat and I was by myself, so luckily there was one seat left (during busy dinner time on a weekend, no less - other places had long waits) Here in America the conveyer belt sushi places haven't really impressed me, but being that this one is in Japantown, it's pretty decent. If there isn't something on the conveyer, you can always ask for it. They were cutting up real, whole fish so you know it's fresh at least. Service was great, super quick and the "chefs" were responsive. The menu is nice, with lots of drinks to choose from as well. Cuts were not authentic but still meaty. Pricing can be on the higher side, depending on what you like. But others have mentioned it can be cheap as you like or expensive as you like at places like these, as they are priced essentially by the choice of fish and how it's prepared. Atmosphere was lively for a weekend night, but I have been here during the week as well when it's less busy. It can be tight if it's full (get to know your neighbor!) but it's more than adequate. Always a fun experience and I have , and will be back.

The location is unusual, as the restaurant is open to the mall, which is a bit disruptive. I came for the 8:30pm seating, but the previous guests were still finishing, so I had to wait until 8:45pm. The staff did not seem very concerned. Bad start. You could also hear the mall cleaning crew during dinner, which was not very pleasant. I ordered the 24-item Mizuho Menu, as did all the other guests. There were 5 guests in total (the restaurant can seat up to 8 people). Here is the menu I was served at the end of May: 1. starter: ama ebi cracker with caviar, pickled lotus root with shaved bonito, crab salad 2. nigiri 4x: isaki, iwana, myabi tai, kanpachi 3. sashimi: chutoro, hotate with caviar, umi masu, sawada 4. nigiri 8x: hirame, suzuki, inada, kurodai, shima aji, kamasu, otoro, aged A5 wagyu, kinmedai 5. hot dish: miso soup with inari and shrimp head, hokkaido uni with marinated ikura, black cod, umi masu with raw yellow egg and caviar 6. dessert: matcha ice cream with strawberry Frankly, the food was excellent. The starter was not very creative, but the nigiri were great. The sashimi selection was very nice, with some fish you do not see as often in omakase menus, such as isaki, iwana, and myabi tai, a kind of tai. Sawada was delicious and is always a good inclusion. We asked for some wasabi and received a small cup of kizami wasabi, a chopped wasabi with a slightly crunchy texture, which was a nice touch. For the nigiri, all the classics of a good omakase were present: otoro, kinmedai, shima aji, uni, hotate, and wagyu. Kamasu was also included, and it is one of my favorite fish. It is also worth noting that they age both their beef and their tuna, including the otoro that was served. A few pieces were torched, maybe a few too many. Overall, the service was not memorable, although chef Ron Au was friendly and nice. The place itself felt a bit questionable, and my expectations were not very high after the beginning of the meal. But the food was truly excellent, and for that reason I think it deserves 5 stars.
