    Vegetable Tempura Entree

Another sushi spot has taken over the spot where V Sushi used to be. It's small inside with not a ton of table seating, so we sat at the sushi bar. The vegetable tempura was pretty good and we enjoyed the rolls here; they came out fast and the service was fine. The flavor combinations are simple and the variety of rolls are ok, they're not really unique or groundbreaking but the fish was fresh and rolls were well constructed so nothing to complain about. Overall, I'd come back.

Ordered the lion king roll for takeout this past Sunday. The place was bright and clean with a good amount of indoor seating for a small space. Staff provided friendly and professional service, and my order was ready in less than 10 minutes. The presentation in the takeout bag was simple but lovely, something worth noticing. And the taste was outstanding. Quality ingredients, freshly made, so much flavor in every bite. It didn't look like much and was ready pretty quickly, so I was pleasantly surprised and definitely impressed. Needless to say, I enjoyed my meal.

I was really sad to see Vsushi go. When this place opened up, I decided to give it a try. They had just opened for a couple days, the inside is cleaned up and modernized. They had a bunch of options to choose from on the menu besides sushi. I decided to get some rolls, and I was not disappointed. The rolls were delicious and for the price you pay, you can't beat it. I enjoyed every single thing, and another thing is that they had fresh wasabi! Not a lot of places had fresh wasabi! You do have to pay for it but that's totally fine. I will be coming back again.

Gohan (cooked rice in Japanese) Sushi is a newly established Japanese restaurant just opened three weeks ago located right across the parking lot from In-N-Out Burger. Came by on a Sunday morning greeted very warmly by the owner/manager first off she offer a complimentary cup of tea along with a glass of iced water. Going over the menu I order the following items: Katsu donburi a popular Japanese comfort food consisting of a deep fried pork cutlets simmered with onions layer with drizzled fried egg beaten over a large bowl of rice. Second on the list: Five crispy takoyaki ball shaped street food layer with sweet sauce stuffed with creamy soft diced octopus topped with kewpie mayo and lastly Ramune a popular soft drink. Spacious dine-in a sushi bar great place to hang out with families and co-workers will definitely be back for fried oysters and sushi-rolls prices are more reasonable than other Japanese restaurants so support your local business as May is AAPI Heritage month.

Newly opened. Minimal and simple decor. Rolls are fresh. Acceptable prices. Friendly staff. This restaurant replaced V Sushi. Would like to come back and try their bento items and chirashi. Not bad for a first experience here.

New sushi restaurant that opened up in the Milpitas area! Went on a Sunday evening and it was fairly empty but was greeted and seated immediately despite waiting for the entire party. Very good service and informative. Told us what was unavailable so that we're aware in advance and made sure we had enough tea to drink. Got the takoyaki and Ocean roll and both were delicious! The takoyaki was nice and crispy, and didn't burn my mouth but still at a perfect temperature to enjoy it. Ocean roll was a nice mix of salmon, unagi, and scallop. Very tasty! Overall a great experience and hope more people can support them

Excellent grand opening experience at Gohan Sushi! The fish was incredibly fresh, the spider rolls were so good and the service was friendly, reasonable prices for the quality .

Definitely should have taken more pictures, but I was hungry, lol. Things I had were, miso soup, salad, una don, chicken scews (salted and teriyaki), dragon roll and en roll, with hot tea and a small ice cream (on the house - ignore this one). Positives: + great food + nice ambiance + great variety of options, especially some things I can't find anywhere else + very Japanese authentic proportionate sized meals + very friendly service, always felt welcomed to ask questions Negatives: - even if the unagi don was very, very good, I think it's a bit overpriced for the amount you receive. Can get more for less elsewhere and would be paying that extra amount for the authenticity Nitpicks: (can be totally ignored) My personal nitpick is there's no subs for the takoyaki. Really want to like and eat takoyaki but not a fan of octopus. Again, sorry for the lack of photos. Did order quite a bit, but was hungry after work, lol.

Chicken katsu curry very delicious and good quality definitely coming back.

Then look no further, because Sen Dai knocks down 2 birds with one stone. Good prices, big portions, fast service, they have it all - at the cost of some authenticity and wait times. I came here at 5:15PM on a weekend and the restaurant was already almost full. By the time I left, there was a good amount of people waiting outside, so make sure you come early to avoid the crowd. The plaza is also tiny so parking may be a bit tough. I ordered an extra large Milpitas roll, Lemondrop, and Orgasmic. Food came about 5-10min after we ordered, which was surprisingly quick given the number of takeout orders and customers. The raw fish tastes very fresh, and they do not skimp on the portions! The star of the show was the Milpitas roll, but I feel like you cannot go wrong with most of their sushi roll menu items. This is one of the few establishments that give me pre-Covid vibes - large portions, fair prices, quick service, and decor that's a little outdates but gets the job done. Which is exactly why I will be coming back here for years to come.

I dare to say that Amami has the best, freshest, most tasteful fish in the east bay area. I have come out of my way to take my friends and family here. The sushi shokunin truly are masterful and their care and diligence in creating a delicious dish is obvious. The fish is chilled, well handled, and cut intentionally. Here, I finally understand sushi. It's not just rice and fish slapped into a wrap. The umami oceanic seaweed blends with the perfectly sweet and slightly tangy rice, and compliments the creamy, clean and vibrant fish. Add a drop of wasabi and soy sauce and a touch of ginger, and together it creates a beautiful art form, perfectly balanced. Truly blown away every time I am here. It wasn't terrible, but it was far from great. I'd say the quality was about what I'd expect from a mediocre all you can eat sushi restaurant rather than a place serving individual rolls. The service was just okay, nothing bad, but nothing that stood out either. Overall, there are better sushi options in the area. With The Yakitori Bar just a few doors down, I'd definitely wait for them to open next time.

I ended up ordering almost the entire menu because I hadn't eaten all day and work completely took over my life. I got two Lion King rolls, a salmon skin roll, and baked mussels. The baked mussels were the standout--really delicious--but definitely on the heavier side. Overall, everything leaned rich and sauce-forward, which I realized was partly my fault since I focused on baked rolls instead of lighter options like sashimi. If you're not into baked rolls, they can be a little intense, so I'd make sure that's your thing before ordering. The salmon skin roll was a nice reset--more traditional, not overly flavorful, with just enough sauce to balance things out. In the future, I'd probably ask for less sauce overall, especially on the mussels, because it bordered on too much. That said... the value is insane. My total, including tip, was about $64 for six sushi items (including mussels), which feels like a steal. I personally found it a bit too flavorful, but my boyfriend thought it was amazing and was beyond happy--so clearly this place hits for the right audience. Would I order again? Absolutely. The deal alone makes it hard not to.
