    Birthday ice cream. Complimentary

I had a reservations for a Friday lunch at 1 but it wasnt required. The store was completely empty so it was actually kind of nice to have the place to ourselves. The one server was super kind and interacted with my littles. Food portions were larger than expected, and dedinitely could have been a sharable. Food was well seasoned and delicious; nothing seemed bland or lackluster. We were celebrating a birthday and had the plesant surprise that the birthday girl got a little ice cream treat with a candle at the end. I need to be on a low carb diet, but I really want to come back to try all the pastas. I didnt know Japanese Italian fusion was a thing!

What a great find! La Casa Mia had been on my list of places to try for a while, and it did not disappoint. I made a reservation for a Thursday dinner at 6 PM, and we were greeted and seated right away. The service was warm and attentive from the start. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary salad and vegetable soup, both of which were a wonderful way to begin the meal. The mentaiko pasta was the highlight of the evening, rich, creamy, savory, and full of flavor. Since we had noted on our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, the restaurant also treated us to a complimentary scoop of ice cream with a birthday candle, which was such a thoughtful touch. The host was incredibly kind and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit. Between the excellent service, delicious food, and welcoming atmosphere, La Casa Mia made our celebration feel extra special. We will definitely be back for future birthdays and special occasions!

I love how the inside of this restaurant looks. Rustic and whimsical. The food was amazing! The server is the cutest and super polite. Amazing service. Come try!!

I dream about their cod roe pasta, it's literally the best I have ever had. Like next level pasta! We went as a big group for my sister's birthday, and they were pretty accommodating and nice. We had them keep our cake in the back fridge which they charged us for, but it wasn't too much. The pastas are the way to go! The pizzas were alright and the drinks were also okay, but get the pasta!!!

I always wanted to try this place since I heard of it but never got the chance until recently. Fusion food has never been my favorite cuisine but the combination of Italian/Japanese piqued my interest. [[ Location ]] It's in a familiar plaza in Milpitas most noticeably with the Lion's Grocery Store but it has a ton of other stores in the area too. There is plenty of parking but it can get crowded sometimes when its busy (aka lunch/dinner) but you'll always find parking. You might have to walk a bit further. [[ Restaurant ]] In my opinion, the first thing you will notice is that this place is SMALL. It's really nicely decorated inside but it just feels small overall. It wasn't too busy when we went but I can see it filling up on the weekends. [[ Service ]] I'm not sure if they normally do this but they went around and gave us free salad and a cup of soup to anyone who wanted it in the restaurant. I thought that was a nice surprise and a nice touch that made the dining experience really nice. Also I'm a huge fan of their free birthday treat. Most places just give you a small piece of cake or something but La Casa Mia gives you multiple scoops of ice cream and a nice happy birthday sign at the end of the meal. I thought that was really touching and the whole group was able to enjoy the ice cream without feeling like we had to control how big of a spoon we got. [[ Food ]] I feel like we got to try most of the more interesting food here but the group got the following: 1.) French Fries with Truffle Oil 2.) Carbonara with Udon ($2 add on) 3.) Mentaiko Mayo Mochi Cheese Pizza 4.) Salmon Shimeji Mushroom Risotto with Noodles Overall i think they did a good job with the balance. The Japanese / Italian flavors were equally balanced and nothing felt overpowering which made the dishes very good and easy for hesitant people who haven't had fusion food before. I don't think there is a dish I did not like and I was very happy with the meal. I think the most fun to eat was the Mochi Cheese Pizza because I did not think Mochi would be a good substitute for the carbs of a pizza but it worked just fine and tasted spectacular. The French Fries with Truffle Oil was also really good but I thought the portion sizes were too small.

What a little gem! The service here and the presentation of all the food is very Japanese, which means polite and beautiful. All the food was absolutely delicious and the fact that they were so visually appealing, made it that much more extra. Looking from the outside I would not have thought this place was so good! If you like any pasta this is pretty darn good. I also got to try a bite of my son's seafood pasta which I thought was also really good. I definitely recommend this restaurant, and I look forward to coming back. The only downside is the space is actually quite small. It would not be good for big groups, and you most likely to wait for a table.

It's been on my to-go list for a long time and I finally got a chance to visit. I love the earthy and homey aesthetic; it made me feel at home. It's spacious and has plenty of seating. My group did have to wait awhile for the food to come out but the service was attentive. Payment comes in a little bucket which I thought was cute. I definitely would come back to try their other menu items~! Food: - Mentaiko Cream: saucy, noodles were well-cooked. gave a generous amount of cod roe with the pasta - Carbonara: the bacon definitely completes the meal, toppings were proportioned well with the pasta.

[Food] - Seafood Pescatore Rosso ($23): Made with shrimp, mussels, scallop, clam, octopus, tomato sauce & parsley. One of my favorite dishes here! - Yuzu Clam Pasta: Made with white wine sauce and comes with yuzu kosho on the side. Loved this dish the most! I hope they keep this on their permanent menu as this was part of the limited time special menu. Unfortunately I forgot price of this but it was around the $20 range. - Lunch Plate Special ($18): Comes with pizza of the day, soup, salad, and your choice of pasta. My bf picked the Mentaiko cream pasta. Definitely a good deal for lunch! - French Fries w/ Truffle Oil Sauce ($9): Fries were nicely fried and seasoned. The sauce was yummy as the truffle wasn't too overwhelming. - Japanese Mushroom Melody Pizza ($29): Made with a white sauce with shimeji, maitake, shiitake mushrooms, & mozzarella. For me the white sauce was a bit too heavy, and having tried the Mentaiko Mayo Mochi Cheese Pizza at their Santa Clara location, I think I enjoyed that much more as it was more balanced. My bf's mom loved this though! - Matcha Tiramisu ($8): I would call this more of a parfait than tiramisu. Wasn't too sweet and nicely balanced with the cream, mochi, and jelly. [Service] - Super polite, friendly, attentive & helpful [Ambiance] - Nicely decorated like a cute Japanese cafe [Overall] - Would definitely come back! Especially for the Mentaiko Mayo Mochi Cheese Pizza, Seafood Pescatore Rosso, the lunch plate special and the Yuzu Clam Pasta!

Wow! It's so great to have this spot in Milpitas. We love Japanese Italian fusion and had been looking for a local spot to get our fix. Very cute decor in the restaurant, almost like a garden or afternoon tea vibe which we really liked. The servers were very nice and were able to point out what items on the menu were vegetarian for my family family. We wound up getting the Pomodoro, the mushroom melody pizza the katsu pasta and the uni, with some bread and fries as appetizers. The bread was very fresh, warm, and fluffy. Very tasty. The fries were interesting, clearly fresh cut single fry fries, so don't expect a super crispy fry, but the potato taste was quite nice. The mushroom pizza was a highlight, we loved the combination of the asian mushrooms, lots of umami with a nice crisp crust, highly recommend this one. My uni pasta was great, perfectly seasoned, salty with a fresh seafood aroma from the uni and the ikura salmon roe, I would get this again in a heartbeat. Desserts were decent, I was hoping to get the Match panacotta but they were out. We got some ice cream and the Casatta instead which was ok, I would probably skip the Casatta in the future and hope to get the panacotta instead. All in all this is a very solid pasta spot with reasonable prices. We will definitely be back!

Good place for lunch at this Italian / Asian fusion restaurant. The kids meal was a hit with the 4 year old. And the adult items were pretty good too. The clam pasta had a good balance of taste and texture. Curry rice had an overwhelming amount of cheese!

Such a cute restaurant with delicious food! They have interesting and unique dishes. We tried several of their pasta and a pizza. Would love to see more pasta options maybe in the future, currently it's fresh spaghetti or udon for a little extra. Price is reasonable and we were served salad and soup as soon as we sat down. Came on a weeknight and was seated immediately. There was only one staff working out front and she was so kind and friendly!

Got to try La Casa Mia again, this time in Milpitas! This location's interior is very cozy. I ordered the Carbonara and Truffle Fries. They oddly came out at the same time, I would have preferred some time apart. But that's okay, still delicious :) The truffle fries are so long and I love the aioli it comes with. Carbonara super creamy and delicious. Poached egg on top and everything was perfect. Pasta was the perfect al dente too.

Ambience : such a CUTE shop! Service : This sweet asian lady helped us and she was so so kind and answered any questions we had about the menu! Food : The pasta was not my favorite, the noodles were a bit hard.

There aren't many businesses in this complex so there's always plenty of parking. I inside of the restaurant was small but had plenty of tables. It was a slow day on that weekday early dinner time. We asked to order our items for take out. We waited not too long as I remember. How was the food? Fried Calamari- for only being a couple minutes away I wonder why the calamari was already almost cold when we ate it. It was pretty disappointing. Maybe they just had it in the box while they waited for the rest of our order. I don't know. Flavor was good. Pizza Primavera - It was good, I was okay with it. The pizza dough wasn't my favorite but it was fine. White Pasta - I honestly don't remember what the name was but it was an item my bf ordered. This was terrible. Like there was too much roux to make the bechamel. It tasted of flour. Not much salt, not much of other flavors. Not enough milk and cheese and butter. He took a bite and put it down. Overall, glad we tried it but we might not be coming back. With the economy now, it's disappointing when the food is terrible for how much we pay for.

We ordered two Pollo Saltimbocca dishes (one with a cream pasta substitution for an additional $8), the Pollo al Limone, and a half bottle of Chardonnay. The food was a bit saltier than our personal preference. The cream pasta substitution, despite the extra charge, wasn't anything particularly memorable compared to similar dishes we've had at other restaurants. However, the highlight of our visit was definitely the warm and welcoming customer service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel appreciated. We also appreciate that the restaurant closes for a few hours in the afternoon before reopening for dinner service. It's nice to see a business that gives its staff a break during the day. Parking can be a bit challenging due to the busy neighborhood. Be aware that street parking is paid, and most spots have a two-hour limit, so you'll need to keep an eye on the time. Overall, we'd come back to try more of the pasta dishes on the menu and hope to discover a new favorite.

This is the kind of place you would go to for Father's Day as it's kind of place to go to for a business lunch or a business dinner. The staff here is very good in terms of level of service and knowledge of the menu and making you comfortable. Really the only reason I am giving three stars rather than something higher is because I don't think they do a good job with their pasta dishes. I had the spaghetti Pomodoro with Italian sausage added (upcharge), and there was almost no Italian sausage in the dish. And the noodles were a sticky mass. I believe you are better advised to order from the grill as my dinner mate's rosemary chicken looked very good and he ate it all. My wife is vegetarian and there is almost nothing hot for her to eat apart from the disappointing spaghetti pomodoro or the grilled zucchini. There are also some pizzas. The beet salad was excellent as was the Caprese salad and the minestrone soup. I had the Volo cocktail which is their version of a Paper Plane. Another dinner mate had the Sorrento King which comes under glass with smoke. My drink was good, but hers was better. It has been probably 15 or 20 years since ate at one of their locations and I don't think I'll be back without a protest. They have their target market, but I realize I am not part of it. They will do fine without me and I will keep looking for an Italian restaurant I like in the Bay Area.

Be warned. Zahir does not have a grasp on people skills and the tone of his voice switches from soft old man to grumpy old man without warning. He sat at a desk during the event with a judging side eye while my family filled in for a crew he did not adequately coordinate with. Made no sense that my family became the workers at their own event, and the venue lacked communication on how this event should flow. I did not finish my food, but it got the job done. Satiated at best. I preferred the appetizers that my family brought. The space is very humble and intimate and has a nice outdoor area that offered a break when my family needed a breather. The place is an older building so ventilation did struggle. However, Zahir locked a side door and told the guests that he would kick them out if they were seen using that exit. Fun fact, that side door was originally the planned enter/exit for this event. Parking lot is small but theres street parking available. A small Indian food truck took a portion of the parking lot and I would rather eat there instead of this place. Save yourself a trip. Book somewhere else.

We were a a party of 4 adults, one of whom is 90yr old and has mobility challenges. I informed our hostess and asked for a round table near the front to accommodate his lack of hearing, vision, his need for a bathroom, and his mobility. We were seated at a round table in the back right of the restaurant. Upon sitting down, I noticed My bread plate had food on it. My mother's fork had food on it. Told the waitress who simply replaced our plate and fork with ones from a neighboring table, leaving the dirty dishes in its place. Two of the napkins at our table were paper trifold, the other two were bar napkins. Cloth napkins were placed at all the tables around us. When we asked our waitress why we didn't have cloth napkins, she told us it's because their order didn't deliver and refused to give us napkins, concluding that they weren't seating anyone at those tables. We questioned if we were supposed to use the bar napkin and she said yes. Once she walked away, I retrieved 3 sets of silverware from a neighboring table. The restaurant was not busy for a Saturday night-- we felt her attitude was absurd. Two orders of Focaccia arrived with 2 glasses of water, 1 Starry and 1 Dr. Pepper. After a few sips, I had to flag down our waitress to ask for ice water, as the Dr Pepper tasted like watered down caramel without carbonation. She acted as though it was an imposition to replace my soda with water. No appetizers ordered, but I ordered a fresh greens salad with my entree. The greens were drenched in vinaigrette. Every piece of lettuce was dripping wet, with a pool of liquid in the bottom of the bowl. Very unappetizing. Entrees ordered: 3 Shrimp Portofino, 1 order Spaghetti with meatballs and bolognese sauce. It took 45min for the food to arrive after ordering. All 3 Shrimp Portofinos lacked seasoning. The capellini didn't taste salted, and each dish was swimming in oil. Each of us remarked that our dish lacked flavor: garlic, salt, pepper, fresh herbs etc. The shrimp was bland. I found and counted 5 pine nuts in my dish, when the menu eluted to a dish filled with them. One person added a ton of table salt and pepper to their dish in order to eat it. My mother and myself ate the shrimp and pushed the capellini aside to see how much oil was in the dish. We ended up not eating it. Our server never came by to ask how are meals tasted or if anything was wrong. After she delivered the bill and asked us to buy dessert, we then began telling her how disappointing this meal was and had she checked on us, we would have told her and perhaps we could have had our order remade or placed a different entree. Our server acted as though it was her last shift and she didn't care. She asked if we wanted a manager and we said No, that we were just being honest with her about our experience. Again, she didn't care. This experience was by far the worst we've had. Next time we're feeling up to eating

A fancy Italian restaurant for small or large parties to celebrate milestones with amiable staff…read more My family and I had the pleasure of having Jacob as our server, who elevated the dining experience through his kindness and jokes. We enjoyed many dishes: the pesto gnocchi, spaghetti carbonara, chicken marsala, grilled octopus, and the clam chowder with halibut as the Chef's Specials of the day. Additionally, two complementary desserts were also given after Jacob guessed we were celebrating two birthdays.

We came here to celebrate my wife's birthday, had a fantastic dining experience, and will definitely be back. To start, the complimentary soft bread was absolutely delicious--perfectly warm and fresh. For our main courses, we ordered the seafood linguine and the pork chop. The seafood linguine was packed with fresh flavor and perfectly cooked pasta, while the pork chop was incredibly tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. What made the night even better was the exceptional service. Our server, Jacob, was informative, attentive, and incredibly friendly. He even recommended a perfect Merlot to pair with the pork chop, which complemented the meal beautifully. We wrapped up the celebration with the tiramisu, which was outstanding--the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I found this charming little Italian spot and thought it'd be the ideal place to celebrate my…read morepartner's birthday. I made a reservation for a Thursday evening, and even though it's right in the heart of downtown, we were lucky and managed to find street parking in front of the restaurant with free EV charging! Right when we stepped in, the interior is decked out in a modern art deco style. Vibrant & fun colors while still maintained a sosphiscated touch. After a few recommendations from our server, we decided to try: Mushroom Arancini (10/10): These are amazing, as soon as they brought it out, we can both instantly smelled the truffle oil. The exterior were crispy & pipping hot, the inside has creamy mushroom. It was certain my favorite of the night! Rigatoni alla Vodka (8/10): A solid pasta! The sauce was great and balanced. There was a good amount of sauce that coated in the pasta. The pasta itself was perfectly al dente! This is a staple dish but I felt like it might lack an interesting flair. Stuffed Branzino (8/10): Another solid dish! The whole were already debone which made it so much easier and fussed free. The skin on top was insanely crispy, the meat were juicy and overall tasted very healthy and fresh! It was a nice paired to the heavy pasta dish! They also gave us 2 cute canolis as a free birthday dessert which were super good! Overall, this is a beautiful spot for a date night and I'm glad I took my partner here! I even got $20 off the bill just by downloading their app and creating an account. Definitely planning to come back!

We started with the garlic bread for appetizers. It was well presented but I think it would've been well paired with some sort of dipping sauce because it was a little dry. My boyfriend ordered the thousand layer lasagna and really enjoyed it. I ordered the rigatoni and thought it was just okay. I didn't realize the dish didn't come with protein so it felt like the dish was missing something. The sauce itself was nice but for some reason, some of the pasta was undercooked and some of it was al dente. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate pudding and tiramisu. The presentation was so beautiful. Both my boyfriend and I loved the pudding most -- I would definitely order this again. The tiramisu wasn't bad but it would've been better if it had a stronger coffee taste and if it was a little more moist. The wait staff was incredibly attentive and definitely made our visit feel special. She paid attention to the small details like helping us label our boxes, which I've never had anyone do before. On a completely unrelated note, I was surprised to find the bathrooms are shared between both genders. While there are separate stalls, the sink area is shared, which I wasn't expecting for a nicer restaurant like this. But I would say overall the food was hit or miss but the service and experience overall was amazing:)
