We were craving for nigiri and found out that this restaurant had nigiri omakase and decided to try it out. We got the Omakase nigiri, Kaisen don and Takoyaki. The Omakase nigiri was fresh and better than expected at its price. It had 9 pieces of nigiri, a bowl of miso soup and chawanmushi. The kaisen don had an assortment of sashimi including salmon, scallops, and Uni. Takoyaki was freshly made and served hot. I wish there were more pieces though! Overall the restaurant provided pretty high quality sushi at its price point (Omakase nigiri was $50 pretax). It was a convenient place if you are craving for sushi. Ordered takeout so cannot speak to how their service in restaurant is. Ordered three cooked rolls as one of our group had to eat fully cooked sushi. The takoyaki was good and tasted like traditional takoyaki. We ordered the sushi pro roll, the unagi pro roll and BB roll. They aren't very accommodating for change as we asked to substitute unagi for salmon (as the salmon was raw, as mentioned earlier, needed fully cooked) and they delivered the roll without the salmon and nothing as a substitute for the missing salmon. If I knew that I would've just ordered a different roll as the price didn't change. Rolls were okay but overpriced at $18 per roll. And even more so with my missing topping. I'm happy that they didn't put sesame on the rolls as we have an allergy. read more

Hightlight: Kaisen don: stunning and flavorful with salmon, scallops, tuna, uni, and ikura. Fish-to-rice ratio is exactly where it needs to be, and everything just went well together. Chirashi bowl: I do love the thick fish cut (actually preferred it over the kaisen don), but we made the mistake for not getting the deluxe chirashi (added uni and tuna belly I believe). We accidentally ordered the regular one, and the fish-to-rice ratio was a bit off (too much rice). Also, while salmon and tuna were great, the other white fish tasted a bit too fishy for my liking. Came back to try other items :) Service is still great. For such a small place, I have to say they have quite a few waiters and waitresses (at least 3) working there. They all do everything fast - serve the food, clean tables and take orders. Kudos to the team. The Unagi appetizer is nice and the meat is pretty thick. This is a good option if you are carb conscious and can skip the rice. The toro and seared salmon belly with truffle are awesome. They just melt in your mouth, so good! The sushi combo is interesting. The presentation is excellent. I wish they would at least tell us what each piece of nigiri is when they bring this dish to our table. Came here on a Friday night because I was craving nigiri. There was a short wait since seating was full, but there was no line. Once we were seated, we used the QR code to order. There wasn't much interaction with the staff since ordering is done through the app. The place is cozy, clean, and nice. This is my second time coming to Sushi Pro to eat, because I had a great first experience. This time around also did not disappoint. Though we were immediately seated, the restaurant itself was pretty busy, with most tables taken up. I would recommend calling for a reservation for bigger parties. Both service and food was great, with the sushi quality being above average compared to your neighboring sushi restaurants. The omakase pictured below is definitely going to be my go to moving forward. Every bite felt and tasted high quality and delicious. I also feel like items were reasonably priced for what we got. Probably my new favorite sushi joint at the moment. Looks and decor matters, as well as the food taste. I really like how the interior is decorated and how the assortment comes out when you buy their sushi plate. The nice wooden stairs ensemble was a great photo op! The prices are actually pretty decent for this economy and they have nice happy hours too. Although parking is plentiful it fills up way too quickly and if you show up on a weekday lunch rush (usually starts around 12pm lasts until 1-1:30pm) it can be hell on Earth. There are tons of places to eat here in this plaza and not only are there dine-in patrons trying to park but lots of food delivery service as well adding to the chaos. read more

I was super interested in trying out this sushi spot after seeing the beautiful displays of the omakase online. They also serve the sashimi in this pretty moon vessel which I thought was cool. Our party of three came in around 7:30 on a Friday and waited 25 minutes for a table. There was a big crowd outside, so you know it's popular. The store itself does not have much space but they make good use of their limited space by packing in a lot of tables. Ordering was easy, as we did it online and there were plenty of photos for reference. We ordered an array of appetizers like chicken cartilage, mixed tempura, some nigiri, and a lion king roll. Everything was delicious. I liked that the tempura had three of each item; I'm not sure if it was on purpose, but each of us was able to get one piece of each item. Then we had two omakases. The display is just as gorgeous in-person as it is online. The server went over all the fish, from leanest to fattiest. It also came with a miso soup and a steamed egg. My favorite piece was the fish with truffle on it. Amazing! They seemed to have a great deal on alcohol during our stay too. It was 50% off all drinks from the afternoon until closing. We washed down our food with 2 bottles of hot sake. Our DD got a delicious oolong soda with lychee. The service was exceptional. I didn't catch his name, but we had a server who watched over us the whole time and even gave us a complimentary bottle of sake on the house. He had a Vietnamese accent. He made us feel so cared for! Came here for the first time after seeing so many post on social media over the past years, but never actually made it out. First off, I got to give credit for the customer service! We called ahead just to see how crowded it was on a Sunday early evening since we had a big party. They told us that it wasn't crowded yet and won't be until 7pm ish. We had a few friends with a tight schedule as they had a flight to catch, and they allowed us to call about five rolls in advance to be made to be ready when we got there (which we were about 5 minutes out or so). Which worked out perfectly because the kids were starving and cranking when we arrived and there were food already on the table for them. Since it was our first time, we ordered the omakase for that photo op, the sashimi platter (20 pieces), chicken cartilage, amaebi sashimi (comes with the head deep fried!), a few nigiris, and five rolls: ufo roll (which is baked scallop), 49er, tuna mango, philly (for the kids), and the sushi pro roll. I really enjoyed the omakase as it came with 9 chef's choice nigiris, miso soup, and chawanmushi for $50. I also love the small detail that the chef noted that we ordered the amaebi sashimi, therefore they gave us a different nigiri on the omakase. We saw other photos and people in the restaurant who got the amaebi nigiri in their omakase but we didn't. It's the small details like that that won us over. Overall, loved everything that we had and will definitely be coming back. There's tons of parking but can be difficult during peak eating hours. read more

Ordering through the QR code was so easy. We hit submit and our two beers showed up in under a minute! The rest of the food came out really fast too. Later we saw everyone getting the omakase special, so we ordered it. it took about 30 minutes (understandable when the place was full), but totally worth it. I'm so happy I finally got to try Sushi Pro! There aren't a lot of tables so the inside feels a bit cramped. The service was ok - another QR code ordering system so we didn't get a lot interaction from staff other than them bringing food out. Opted for the omakase which was honestly really tasty and great value. My favorite pieces were the toro and kanpachi, can't go wrong there. Each bite did seem like it was thoughtfully curated and it was a fun experience trying each piece out with my friend. The fish tasted fresh and imo, they nailed the seasoning on the rice. Unfortunately for us, we got greedy and didn't think the nigiri's would be enough food so we ordered an app and a roll LOL. The jalapeño bombs were really good; they were like little explosions of flavor and the different textures made it really enjoyable. The scallop roll we got was ok. We thought it tasted better without the lemon. The omakase nigiri was the star of the show and I'd come back and get it again. The chawanmushi it came with tho was a bit dry and could have used a broth or just less time in the steamer. This place is small, loud and often bursting at the seams with people and there's often a wait for a free table on the weekends... With first impressions like that, you'd figure it's safe to assume that Sushi Pro is a "Hot Spot" for the area. Stopped in with my mom recently and decided to give this place a try. Here's some things to take note of if you are a first-timer like we were: 1) Each table is equipped with a QR code affixed to it which allows you not only to review the menu, but also to place your order. (After being seated, no one told us this.) We ended up moving tables due to it being a little cold right next to the door, but settled into another spot fairly quickly. However, when I placed my order I noticed it was delivered to another table. Note: EACH TABLE has a UNIQUE QR code... so if you move from one table to another, you must re-scan the QR code at your new table in order to ensure it goes to the right place. 2) Did I mention this place is extremely small? At one point the staff was seemingly playing table tetris by moving around some furniture to accommodate various guest sizes.... and we ended up nearly elbow to elbow with the folks waiting for an open table which made for an extremely uncomfortable dining experience as we had little eyes and adult butts facing our table pretty consistently. 3) I'd consider this place fairly pricey for the amount of food you get. I definitely left still feeling hungry.... Not to mention the flavors--or rather the lack their of are off putting! My mom had salmon teriyaki that resembled fish but definitely didn't taste like it. I also found my sushi rolls to be surprisingly bland. Which I found extremely peculiar as i've never experienced such a thing in a Japanese restaurant before. All in all the experience was less than a favorable one and the staff weren't as welcoming or helpful as I would have anticipated them to be which was a really bummer to boot. Buttery Steamed Clams: fresh steamed clams in buttery soup (4/5). BUTTER and sake broth. The clams were meaty and plump. Chef Special Sampler: six small dishes of chef's choice seasonal appetizers (4/5). I have mixed feelings for this. Great first experience at Sushi Pro this past week. We came here on a whim on a weekday night because the restaurant we were trying to go to was closing earlier than we expected. We were seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant was relatively full for a weeknight - only one or two tables were still available after we sat down. I liked how there was ample room between the tables. I've noticed that a lot of sushi restaurants try to squeeze way too many tables and chairs into a small area and it makes a very cramped and unpleasant dining experience for the customers, but Sushi Pro does not have that issue! We ordered using the QR code on the table. Between 2 people, we got the nigiri omakase and the kaisendon. The kaisendon here was great - I loved how it includes scallops. No complaints about the nigiri omakase. All the fish here is fresh and everything is fairly priced! Giving 4 stars because items we ordered were good but nothing was exceptional. read more

This place really surprised me with how fresh and flavorful everything was! We started with the Takoyaki, and it was easily one of the best I've had--super fresh, perfectly crispy on the outside, and generously stuffed with tender octopus. Highly recommend! We also tried a few rolls: the Red Dragon was excellent--packed with flavor and a great balance of textures. The Warriors Roll was similar, but if you're choosing between the two, go with the Red Dragon. The Lion King was just okay, nothing special, but not bad either. The Hokkaido Scallop was another standout--super fresh, clean-tasting, and delicate. Service was impressively fast, and the fish quality was top-notch across the board. Really great sushi spot nestled in this plaza. Their iPad was a little difficult to read off of as it doesn't stay on the table well, but we ordered the Monster Roll, Sushi Pro roll, UFO roll, hamachi kama and fried squid tentacles. Our first roll came out so quickly it was really surprising, I thought the appetizers would come out first. However everything was tasty and really well presented. I really enjoyed the Sushi Pro roll as the crunch and slight spiciness of the jalapeno mellowed everything out. The fried squid tentacles were good too and the hamachi kama had a wonderful dipping sauce. I had ordered a beer and they gave me the same tin cup they use for water and it tasted a bit off like there was still some soap residue in my cup. It would be nice if they gave a glass beer cup for the bottled beer to pour it all in at once. Overall, really great options for everyone here. Today was my first time visiting this sushi restaurant, and it was love at first sight the moment I walked in. Just observing the dishes around me, everything looked so incredible that I already knew I wouldn't be able to try everything I wanted in one visit. The food, the presentation, and the freshness are only the beginning of what makes this place special. The customer service was truly superb--far above average and genuinely attentive. It honestly felt like a breath of fresh air. Before COVID, there were so many great sushi spots, and many seem to have disappeared--but not this place. However, it is difficult to justify a return visit or higher rating as the price point of Sushi Pro is comparable to other much higher end spots such as Rantei or Leichi, yet the service, quality, and ambiance here felt more suited to a casual weekday lunch with coworkers. (Ex: $51 for 20pc sashimi at Sushi Pro, vs $46 at Rantei, but I would take a first date to Rantei) Lastly, we came in on a Saturday at 1pm, after the main lunch rush. The restaurant was about 40% full. We waited approximately 35 minutes before our first order came out to the table, with the others trickling in the next 15 minutes. read more
