Great seasoning and nice crunch not too hard or soft for the chicken. The chicken was not over powered with breading or oil! Okay sushi spot that is "casual" style. I tried ordering online and their system was extremely weird. I paid and placed my order then there like a three minute counter and when it hit the end of the timer, it said they were busy or have technical issues and are unable to accept my order. I was literally next door at the tea shot and I walked in and ordered in the kiosk. There was literally 2 customers inside so clearly their online ordering does not work based on the other reviews from years ago too so don't waste your time. Also, the prices online are significantly lower than what you'll actually pay in store as you can tell by the receipt. I ordered the beef teriyaki bento which my fiance said was super dry and not seasoned so he literally doused two packets of soy sauce on top. The spider man roll was honestly terrible and not edible. There was cream cheese that tasted really bad with the mushy avocado on top. It was... quite disgusting to be frank. The only decent thing was the gyoza but I mean it's literally frozen gyoza so kind of hard to mess up. Overall, I am a bit split on the pricing. I think I'd give another fair try maybe as dine in since I did Togo but def not getting the super man roll as I'm quite traumatized from it. On all the rolls, the rice felt really mushy and on the unagi California roll, the unagi had a rubbery chewy feeling. The rolls just didn't feel as though they were made with fresh ingredients. The beef teriyaki was way too heavily sauced. The booth we sat at (the far booth near the windows) had about 4-5 fruit flies/gnats that we had to constantly shoo away from the food. As of late, V Sushi has been our go to for Philadelphia Rolls and Chicken Kaarage. That won't be the case anymore. Friendly/accommodating service for food allergies. This restaurant was cute and had friendly service. The rice in sushi usually uses rice vinegar, but sometimes restaurants use wheat vinegar, so I asked the server what kind of vinegar they mixed their rice with for sushi. The server honestly didn't know but was urgent to check with the chefs what kind of vinegar they used to mix with their sushi rice, and luckily, it was rice vinegar! Safe for those with wheat allergies. Some of my allergies include soy and wheat, so I was careful to avoid it. For my soy allergies, I wanted to avoid soy sauce and any sauces, so I ordered their sashimi salad and asked for it to be served dry without any of the Japanese dressing. I also asked for clarification if the sashimi salad had any shrimp because I also have a shrimp allergy, and the server was quick to inform me that the mixed fish on the menu listed under the sashimi salad did not include shrimp. I had no allergic reactions during my experience. I really appreciated how fresh the fish was in my sashimi salad. It was a very generous portion. I also had some of my sister's sushi rolls (Tuna + avocado and salmon + avocado), which I preferred over my own because the sashimi salad was a bit bland for me since I had to avoid the dressing due to my dietary restrictions.
