The chicken was filled with gristle and it was dry and hard. The tortillas were dry and hard and we could not cut them or chew them. There were flies flying all over the restaurant and attempting to land on the food. It was miserably hot inside the restaurant and the TV above my head had the volume on very low which was super uncomfortable to have to try to be in conversation and hear the low volume of a baseball game for absolutely no reason. I'm so sad and disappointed and have never wanted to get out of a place so bad in my life. At least the manager did remove the inedible food from our bill.

The sandwich was cooked to my preference and VERY tasty. The bread was exceptional and the sausage was pretty amazing. Do I think that they were worth what I paid? Meh...probably not. A couple of questions: Why was it a dollar extra to make my coffee iced? Why is there a 4% pre-tax surcharge, why not just increase prices? Although I do think that $13 for my breakfast sandwich and $5 for my iced Americano (with no syrup) was already a little expensive. I do have to give major props to the staff though! Halfway through our meal, my friend's teenage son (who was a home) messaged her and asked if she would bring him home a cinnamon roll. The line was out the door at that point and my friend was dreading getting back in the queue. An employee overheard part of our conversation, grabbed my friend a cinnamon roll, and let her pay at the table. No more waiting in line. And THAT is how you get a return customer. I will definitely come back to try out more of there menu.

I am not a plant-based person, and I would not have even realized that our meal was 100% plant-based. Started with the feta and fig crostini (amazing) and roasted brussel sprouts (perfectly prepared - not greasy at all!). Dinner was the beer cheese and pickled jalapeño burger (with extra beer cheese for the fries) - absolutely fantastic. We were too full for dessert, but from what I understand, they have some pretty good stuff. I'll have to save room the next time I go. Parking was free and easy in the lot next door, lighting and music were soft and cozy, service was attentive (thank you, Lily!), and overall it was a great night. Visited Yonder Coffee inside Daily Beer Bar with a friend this weekend. It was the second Saturday…read morein January - so a pretty random weekend, but surprisingly the place was absolutely popping and so packed. There were 5-6 people waiting for a single table. After fighting for a table, we both ordered hot drinks: my friend got a latte and I ordered the rose chai latte, which I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, after my friend placed her order, the barista mentioned they were "out of espresso" and offered to "top it with milk" instead and she wouldn't taste a difference. That was disappointing and felt a bit unfair that my friend essentially ended up paying for milk rather than a true latte. We also tried the Tepuy donuts, which were tasty (love Tepuy sourdough donuts!), though I wish they had been warmed up. Given how busy it was, service felt a bit rushed and less attentive than expected--understandable, but still noticeable. The space itself is nice, with a variety of table sizes, and I can tell it would be a great spot to sit and chat on a slower day. I would look forward to giving it another try on a less hectic day!
