    Iced peppermint latte
    Bobbie C.

I wanted to love my experience at Omie's because I've heard great things and their seasonal menu sounds amazing! I ordered an iced peppermint latte and it tasted like peppermint milk, you can tell from the color it just wasn't made correctly, kind of like they forget to put the shots in it. I didn't have time to ask for a remake as I was rushing somewhere. Maybe they were off today because I've always heard great things but I ended up having to throw away a seven dollar coffee and it truly hurt my heart. The service was good and the atmosphere is super nice, parking is limited though.

Omie's is a cute coffee spot that features unique seasonal flavors. The espresso stands out and i thoroughly enjoyed the brown butter pumpkin pie latte and the salted maple shortie. The shortie was on the sweeter side of the two, but that may have made it my fav!

Very cute local coffee shop. I ordered the shandy which is cold brew with lemonade and blueberry flavor and it did not disappoint, very crisp and refreshing taste, just perfect for summer! Staff was very friendly and efficient with both taking orders and making drinks. Limited seating inside, however, and no comfortable space for a laptop so I probably wouldn't come here to study or work.

Coffee Shop No. 471 Omie's Coffee Shop and Roastery Durham, NC March 8, 2025 No the friendliest of cafes, but the barista wasn't rude either. I kinda felt like I was interrupting. The shop was quiet and pretty empty when I showed up. Plenty of seating. At least the cortado tasted good. I am not sure if it was worth the detour from the interstate, but I never would have known unless I had tried.

Here's a hidden little gem in North/East Durham. Wasn't sure this place existed until it populated on my Apple Maps. I was glad to see a coffee shop in this part of town. We came here and glad we did, it's really well decorated inside and makes you feel cozy. It's small with not a ton of inside seating but there is some. Seems like more customers were taking their drinks to go. The girl working here was sweet and accommodating. The Fall Menu looked really good, after getting the drinks I'd say the drinks need more pronounced flavor. Got the Brown Butter Pumpkin Pie Latte which has espresso. I couldn't taste any specific flavor, not even the espresso let alone the sugar. That's why I'm giving this place four stars and not five. Would I come back, absolutely. I'll probably try a fresh drip coffee next time.

3.5 rounding up! I didn't have the best luck with my coffee stops on this visit to the triangle. I stopped in at Omie's on my way home, and it was kind of a mixed bag. The service was quite friendly, and I really liked the barista. The interior is interesting, but not a place you would really stop and hang out. I was really impressed with their creative seasonal menu. I immediately wanted to try the cherry cobbler latte. It was supposed to be a single origin espresso, cherry pie syrup, and a cherry on top for the iced variety. The to-go cups were cute and had a rounded bottom I'd never seen before. You could definitely taste the quality of the espresso... but other than that there really wasn't much flavor. I really wanted to taste the cherry flavor (which is also a flavor profile in this espresso) but I really couldn't detect it. It also did not have the cherry on top that it advertised. Not the end of the world, but it really would've been nice for the presentation, and I was kind of disappointed since it did advertise that it would be on there. Their specials menu was really creative and I'd love to try more, I'm hoping this was a fluke!

This coffee saved me on my long road trip from DC to Charlotte! It's in a perfect location right off the highway so I didn't have to add more than a few minutes to my trip. The staff was friendly and the cafe was clean as well as the bathroom! There's several seats to sit at if you wanted to work, study, or get school work done. The lighting was great and I loved all the plants around the cafe. I bought the vanilla iced latte which was tasty. The only negative part is there isn't enough parking spaces.

This hidden gem provides a nice pick-me-up for the mornings and has a cozy, indoor seating if you wanted to get any work or studying done. There are different options for coffee beverages and a handful of options for pastries. It is not extensive as it is a small business but I'm glad they have something for everyone. I came really early in the morning so it was not very busy but my drink, The Mabel, came out promptly, with that extra espresso that I needed. If you're ever in North Durham and need a cozy place for coffee and chilling, come check out Omie's!

The coffee is shocking good I had a 12oz latte. And I was highly impressed with the taste. I would say this was a 9/10 or 10/10 locals are lucky. It has seating but it's all about the coffee here! Thanks!

Off the beaten path in Durham coffee shop. I got their signature coffee which uses burnt honey, lavender, and espresso. A great combination I must say and great for a cold day. They also have some pastries and tea options as well. I tried one of the teas and almost tasted like a liquid jolly rancher. Overall great coffee and tea selection. Inside has 3 different areas. 1 area with seating and where you order, 1 section with just a couple seats, and the last area has a kids area and the Roastery space. The staff was kind and helpful in picking a drink. Prices are also fair. Overall, I definitely liked this place. Parking is very limited and something to think about as to whether you get your drink to go or have it there. Will definitely be back next time in Durham to try some of their seasonal drinks.

Omie's is a quaint coffee spot in Durham. It's cute exterior & seasonal menu drew me in. My drink was a seasonal item & I appreciated that they handcrafted the flavoring. The barista was polite & made my drink immediately after I ordered so I wasn't waiting long either!

They have a small but good pastry selection. Come early though!

I've been here at least 6 times and gotten every different drink they have and it's been consistently amazing every time. It's a small space but has a couple of good little study tables and bench. The service has been fast and polite each time as well. I love coming here and getting a little sweet treat after exams. Parking is limited but just park next door at King's grocery store which is a pretty decent place with prices if you care to check it out. Also please keep in mind it's closed on Monday's!

I ordered a cortado, which was exactly the late-afternoon pick-me-up I needed. I had to take it to go (never the ideal way to enjoy a cortado), but it was still well prepared and nicely balanced. I also tried one of their seasonal drinks, the Bee Stings Latte -- an iced latte with honey, ginger, turmeric, and a little cayenne kick. It was a really unique combination and surprisingly refreshing. The spice and honey gave it a comforting, almost restorative feel -- the kind of drink that would be perfect if you're feeling a little under the weather or dealing with sore joints. I'm a big fan of lighter-roasted, funky, expressive coffees, and Black & White absolutely delivers. Their roasting style leans into vibrant, fruit-forward profiles, and they do it with confidence. The downtown Raleigh location is fantastic too. It's right in the middle of everything, making it a great stop for a date night, meeting up with friends, or just dropping in for a quick but exceptional cup. Their seasonal menu was small but mighty -- just a couple of options -- but the kind where every drink looks so good you wish they'd never rotate them off the menu. I started with the orange cardamom flat white, and it was perfect in every way. Beautifully presented and incredibly balanced. The espresso, milk, orange, and cardamom all complemented each other without any one flavor taking over. It was nuanced, aromatic, and just a joy to drink. For my second drink, I ordered a Rodrigo Sanchez pour-over, a co-fermented Colombian coffee labeled with passion fruit notes. It was everything I want from a pour-over -- bright, juicy, and expressive, with the kind of sweet stone fruit and berry notes that make light-roasted coffee so exciting. Black & White continues to prove why they're one of the most respected specialty roasters around. If you love adventurous coffee with huge flavor and careful execution, this place is an absolute must-visit.
