Went to get a setting for a 2ct diamond I already owned, mistake. Ola was rude, plain rude. After being annoyed and short with me she then decided to lie. I asked about a particular setting as my diamond is round and the setting was for an oval. She told me she would have to ask the jeweler if it could be modified, then asked me if I was going to but it right now. I said no, I need to show my significant other. Then she lied and said that she was a jeweler and that it could be done but it would cost $300 and then $200 to set the diamond... She did not even measure my stone. I have some awful opinions about what could have been going on, I can't prove them so I will keep them to myself. What I do know is that she lied and she treated me badly. I suspect because all in was only going to spend 5-7k. She let me take pictures of the tags too bad you can't look the rings up on the website with the numbers she "let me picture" cause she was too lazy to write them down. Business are responsible for the people they employ and Gold and Diamond Source has at least one liar. ETA: Notice how Gold and Diamond Source will not admit that their employee is not a jeweler. Don't worry they told me and they have it posted on their website :). I would rather eat my hat than go in that store again. read more

Had to go back out to this location to drop off a piece of jewelry that my husband purchased for me to be altered. Tyler was his usual pleasant and helpful self. Lol... The business was taking a lot of precautions amid the Covid restrictions. I found that to be pretty awesome. I could tell that the owners truly care about the safety of both their customers and themselves. The gift bags with the gloves, masks and other anti-bacterial products that they were giving away at the door with a great added touch. I definitely wasn't expecting it to be that crowded on that day. We actually had the pleasure of meeting Julie. I guess I wasn't expecting her to be so kind and helpful. It was a very nice surprise. Once you get past security the store is very inviting. The place is filled with numerous glass cases, each containing different jewelry. Watches, rings, necklaces, earrings, gold chains, engagement rings and wedding bands. They have it all and a large selection as well. If they do not have it, you will be hard pressed to find it elsewhere. The business also has a large online presence. There are numerous pictures and posters of the couple that own the store. They do a lot of TV advertisement. I also saw their adult children working behind the counters. The service was friendly and professional. We did not feel rushed or pressured to spend more than our budget allowed. Their prices ranged from reasonable to a down right bargain. I was very impressed to see such a well run family business. This was my first time at this store. I don't usually purchase much jewelry due to having to watch finances (entire family is in law enforcement) so we're not very extravagant. I was excited to purchase the $500 gift card match as I've been wanting a nice ring. Come to find out, I would have had a much better deal without their gift card. The ring I wanted was $3700 with my gift card $3200(out of pocket). My friend went in the next day with me and was told since she didn't have the gift card, her price for the same ring was $2400! I wound up settling for a cheaper ring because of the gift card. Also, I wanted to trade in my diamond earrings. The first time I went in I was offered $400, 2 days later I was offered $150 for the same ring (they said because of gift card). I also had the feeling I was looked down upon since I wasn't spending much money (my friend also stated that she felt the same way). I went to purchase a diamond ring, won't mention the name of the store, the sales person showed me a beautiful diamond that was almost perfect but had a huge flaw, it was very expensive for such a big flaw, then I was shown another diamond without the flow but the price had doubled, I think this is a sales technique used by sales people. A $4K purchase turned into $8K. I did not realize this until I got home and had a chance to collect my thoughts. You won't be disappointed at any step in the process of designing a piece you'll love. My husband and I bought rings a while back from another jeweler as our engagement rings and used them again as our wedding rings. We agreed we'd find better rings later on. He found his ring in the store and I'm a lot more picky. I brought a design I liked to Darrell. He walked us through the process, what would work with the design I found and what wouldn't work for my wants and needs. We worked up an idea in the store, he showed me a wide variety of sapphire colors (I'm pretty sure he got sick of me at this point as I was very specific on the blue I wanted) and we came up with a rough idea. I got the renderings a couple days later and the idea was on track for what I wanted. I made some comments and some idea changes and Darrell delivered beyond what I was even looking for. We came to price and my husband and I agreed we needed to wait til next year (we just build our first house). I emailed Darrell and declined (in May) and promised to be back once we could swing it. Well I come to find out (last night) my husband had already contacted Darrell and told him I'd decline and to continue with making the ring. They'd both gone back and forth behind my back once I'd finalized a ring design that I loved and they both made it happen. My husband completely caught me off guard when he handed me the ring. Straightforward/ Honest review.... I went to many ring stores with my boyfriend to search for the perfect ring and buying experience. I will agree that the entrance of the store feels to have an extreme Fort Knox security type appeal & process to it. However, once you get past that and actually start looking around you will better understand why it is as such.
