We have stayed in over 450 RV Parks while traveling full-time in a 42-foot coach. This was our first visit here staying three nights (site 38). (1) Dust, some parks are so dusty that even after just a couple nights your unit needs a bath, the dust on our coach was above average, this was because the sites are placed amongst beautiful pines trees. The roads are dirt, sand, and loose gravel, which did not help either. (2) Level pads, big coaches need paved or thick gravel pads that are level. We give this park 5-stars for the level pad, but only 3-stars because the pad consisted of loose gravel & dirt. This park has space very generous space between sites with trees and bushes between sites. Sites come equipped with a picnic table. Note: we did observe several sites that were not as level as ours. (3) We live in the age of WIFI technology and there is nothing to stop any RV Park across this country from investing in doing WIFI properly. For some users such as ourselves, WIFI is an important feature. This park receives 0-stars for their WIFI. The park did have wifi, but due to the many trees, you would need to be staying in a site near an antenna to receive a signal. Unfortunately, the site we were in, did not receive wifi. (4) Maneuverability, some parks have very narrow roads which make backing up and turning difficult, we found this park to be limited in the maneuverability department. The roads themselves were plenty wide, but the overhead tree limbs were an issue. We were staying in a pull-thru site but due to the tree limbs, we had to back-out and completely back the coach down the lane to avoid hitting the low limbs. The park staff are aware of the situation so hopefully they trim-up the lower limbs. (5) Satellite, as you know satellite reception is impossible to receive when there are large trees present. Forgot receiving satellite here, so many beautiful trees! (6) Phone Service, we have AT&T which did not work here. (7) Dog play and potty, plenty of space to walk your dog, but no designated poop/walk areas. Bring your own poop bags as none are provided. (8) This park is older, has only 30-amp sites and tall coaches need to beware of the low tree limbs. Despite that, the park is quaint and quiet and situated among beautiful trees. If quiet and solitude are what you are looking for, then this park would be perfect.

The leash law is enforced and dogs are requested to be walked out of the park or in the pet area. There are some full timers but that is no problem. The RV park is conveniently located. Trees has been trimmed in May and the park is really opened up. The tent area in the back of the rv park is spacious. As a full timer I highly recommend this place!

We showed up with money for a lot, not to try to get a camp hosting position. After clearly stating five times that we just wanted to rent a spot, the person at the front office was extremely rude and ultimately told us we couldn't stay there. Don't stay here, it's a waste of time and money. If only the owners cared more.

HOWEVER there are plenty of positives! -There were plenty of spaces and apparently I went on a really busy weekend -Tons of river access and places to swim -A great big open field with a basket ball hop, volley ball court, teacher ball, and huge inflatable balls you can get inside of and roll around in. That was really something. -Very kid friendly aside from how loud it is throughout the night -Well maintained, even a little too much... -On site place to buy wood -Not too far from town! So although there's plenty of positives, the on site guy really upset me and was just a huge jerk and it made it so unpleasant. It's funny that he feels the need to boss me around about something I didn't do (someone who came to camp, not party) but when people are being loud obnoxious drunks all night long suddenly he's blind and deaf. I'd never go back. Too loud, crowded and the guys on a power trip. But he does maintain the place nicely.

My parents met the man who created all of this back in the 70s and always said he was the nicest and most interesting man. I think his family still owns and runs it. It's outside of Gold Beach so we hit it up anytime we're doing the PNW area. It's very affordable and kids find it magical. The parking is ample and the bathrooms are clean. The gift shop is really fun- esp when my son was younger and going through a years-long dinosaur obsession. My grown daughter, the kids dad and I all still think it's amazing. It's a really chill, nice place to stop. The person working is always really nice and they give you a fun map to walk around with.

They are currently remodeling the rooms and the entire space but they were courteous and very welcoming. I met the owner and he cares for his product as he asked me for my opinion. I told him that the rooms were great, the beds was very comfortable, cozy and warm. They have a small kitchen and all so you can get your food and bring it into the hotel. It's got a clear view of the beach which is directly across the street with some really great restaurants overlooking the beautiful beach and oceanfront with a view of Battle Rock also!! The Shoreline Motel has been completely remodeled in the past year or so, and the owners did it all themselves. The owners take a lot of pride in their business and it shows. Little things like local handmade soaps and super comfy beds (all the furnishings are brand new and very clean and comfortable)I'm always on the hunt for boutique hotels and this little "motel" is special enough to be considered a boutique motel I I'll definitely stay here again! Beds and frames from a past era. One architect did this house , The house that came next and the st mary church we could not find. This was wealth from a family of 9 on a 2000 acre dairy farm that supplied meat and cheese and butter for the town and to be shipped from the port. A irish immigration success story. Patrick and Jane. One son was the lighthouse keeper nearby for over 30 years and one son became a ordained catholic priest that had a church on the property next to the local cemetery and a chapel on the second floor of the house for the family. Chapel is still here. If you like antiques and enjoy seeing how they were actually used, come here. House is immaculate. A free tour but donations go directly to upkeep. Be Generous !
