Then, I tried a few on-line companies that make custom patio cushions. One never called me back after several left messages. My hesitation was not knowing what I was going to get or being stuck with a custom product that didn't work out. I chose Churik's because of its longstanding history of being a local family-owned business and because of their excellent reviews. Everyone was spot on! This is the place to go. Look no further.

Been left wondering why my project (a 4 small vinyl pad reupholster) hadn't been completed for over…read morea month past spoken date, then tells me the price of his quote is going up because of a color choice I had made. So the work still hasn't been started AND the price is going up? Okay man that's fine, I'll give you some slack it's around the new year. Two weeks later I inquire again, and now he needs a deposit of half the cost of the project without any mention of that before. None of this was outlined in any type of invoice, just text messages. That's where I went wrong, I should have asked him for an invoice. I agree to meet him at his business later in the afternoon the same day he asked for this surprise bill, which made me want to take my business somewhere else. I told him I appreciate his time but I'm no longer interested in his work because of the kick-the-can scenario I was falling trap to. I asked if I could have my old pads back (that were sitting in the same place he had left them in two months prior collecting dust) . An angry look came across his face and immediately walks over to the door and locks the deadbolt. He then walks directly at me and says "You're not going anywhere until you pay me for the materials I ordered". Complete unchecked aggression. So now I'm being held inside a business against my will until I pay them for raw materials. This is all after he told me was going to be done weeks ago, and now wouldn't even start until I bring a deposit. At this point I'm thinking to myself, if this guy is crazy enough that his first instinct is to physically detain one of his customers, what else is he willing to do? He proceeded to continue blocking me from exiting the building. Told him I'm calling the cops. Took the phone out and called 911. He started reaching deep in his pockets like he was looking for something to use against me while on the phone. Informed the operator that I was being held inside a commercial building against my will. Filmed the rest of this entire encounter. A bunch of cops came and they got me and my bolster pads out. I anticipated professionalism from a local craftsman, but just got the run around and had to get the police involved to get my property back. It's pathetic how petty this entire encounter was.

The ez2cy flybridge enclosure he installed is ok but he was a rude asshole the whole time trying to demand final payment before finishing the job ($700 owed out of a way overpriced $12,000 job) I believe he has either drug or alcohol problems. Would not deal with him again.

But after several years of sun exposure (we do have all weather covers for it, but UV damage still happens) it was time to get the cushions and canopy re-covered. A friend of mine that restores classic cars was showing off a project that he had re-upholstered, so I asked him for his guy's contact info. I called and spoke to Jose, the owner, who said yes he takes in my type of work. We wanted upgraded foam and slipcovers along with the re-covered cushions and pillows. I brought in a decorative canvas that I had previously purchased. I chose blue for the reupholstering and canopy, and told Jose to choose a good coordinate fabric for the slipcovers-if more yardage was needed. I just got the order back, and it is Bee-Yoo-Tee-Full!! The new extra dense foam is so comfortable (the original was about 3" thick and you could still feel the base of the chaise through it) and the decorative covers are so pretty! They will also protect the cushions from excess UV, and be easily cleaned. The fabric of the canopy is extra dense, and will provide good shade for sitting and reading or using a tablet. I cannot say enough good things about how happy I am with the work provided by Jose, at Pacific Upholstery! Do note that if you go the the shop, parking is tight. You can park in front of the buildings on either side of the access gate but don't park across the street. The tenants there politely let me know it was not appreciated.

Also, I plan to one day pass this dining set down to one of my children and I believe they will never have to reupholster it in their lifetime either because the job was so perfect!!

I purchased a set of power steps for my 2-door Jeep through Pro-Sports and had them installed…read morethere. Joey set it up and took care of the installation when they arrived. He even went so far as to give me a ride home when i dropped my Jeep off for the install. The installation was perfect, but the steps had a defective module. Ultimately, the manufacturer sent me a replacement module and electronic harness for the setup, and I went back to Pro-Sports to have the switch made. Joey and crew knocked out the reinstallation in less than two hours, and so far so good. In any event, Joey suggested I reach out to the manufacturer to see if I could get reimbursed for the cost of the reinstallation, and the company actually sent me a check for the full amount. Pro-Sports, as personified by Joey, was friendly and patient as we worked through the issue with the steps, including trying a number of "fixes" suggested by the manufacturer before we realized it was the module. I appreciate all they did.

Had my hitch installed, took a few hours and great work! Appreciate helping me get on the water…read moreguys!
