I needed a new top for my S2000 and my drivers seat patched. The S2000 top can be a difficult install because most of the cockpit is taken out etc. Quality had been recommended to me by a friend.I took the car in on a Wednesday morning to Manuel and Thursday morning he texted me all was finished. I sent a text back "your kidding right?", no it was ready. Fabulous job on the top install and couldn't even tell where the seat had been fixed. The owner -- Paul -- is a good ole boy ripoff artist who charges the rednecks in Ventura twice what Quality does and Quality does a better job. read more

The father and son that run the shop are friendly and accommodating, they let me drop my car off a few days before the work was scheduled because I was only able to make the drive to Ventura from Santa Barbara on a Saturday (they only work half day on Saturday). I bought a new top from an online retailer for my Nissan 350z and brought it to Quality Auto Upholstery to install. They offered the best price in the Santa Barbara/Ventura area to replace the top and did a great job. The new top looks fantastic and opens and closes smoothly. I think they also ironed it out before installing, because I had it sitting in a box at my house for about 6 months before I got around to getting it installed. I highly recommend these guys for any upholstery work on your vehicle. read more

Opened the door to my car, one morning, and the hood liner - fabric on the ceiling - of my very fancy car, had drooped. It's not the kind of ride you try to fix yourself. I planned to take it into a dealership. My friend, JD, who's connected to an auto shop, got a quote for the job, from a few places & I chose this one. Called Manuel, took it in as scheduled. He doesn't have a place to wait but, his Dad drove me to a coffee shop to wait. I can't recall his name but he tiene dulce - not sure that's right. It's a small shop, maybe a one man operation. Limited options, the fabric isn't a match to the rest. If a droopy liner wasn't dangerous & annoying I'd have asked him to order matching fabric. It was better than what I drove in with. But, the takeaway is, Manuel didn't try to hustle me when he saw the car, which may be a first. He got it done, within the time he quoted for the price he quoted & it looks factory. The color is so minor I'll probably leave it. No one in a few months has notice; I don't notice - I've got another upholstery related issue and plan to entrust him with it. I was referred to Quality Auto Upholstery by the service department at Kia in Ventura. I read the comments here on Yelp, and I must agree with every positive review. Manuel looked at my driver seat situation, gave me a very reasonable quote, and scheduled an appointment to fix it. I arrived for my appointment, dropped my car, then was called well within the agreed time to do the repair to let me know it was done. The charge was exactly what was quoted, and the work was very well done. I was happy with the result and price and let Manuel know. It turns out I had an issue with another car seat and asked Manuel to take a look at it earlier this week.
