I used to take my cars to Oskars but every time I bring a car to him, I'm having to keep taking it back and every time he blames it on something else like a "fuse" which I know it's not. It was something him or his worker screwed up and blames it on something else and charges for diagnosing the work. Brought in my Hummer to have a new head unit put in as well as speakers. I have known Oscar before and have worked with him previously, however, he and his team definitely will not be having any future business with me. I have taken my hummer back two times to have what Oscar tried to do, fixed, however, now Oscar is ignoring all my calls AFTER I paid him over $1000 for his below standard work. When I say below standard, I mean, the stereo doesn't even come on and when it does, it doesn't connect. I gave Oskar AMPLE opportunities to make this right with me, however, he has left me no choice. I have called and texted numerous times with no response. Oskar has showed me that not only does he lack proper business etiquette but his moral standards of standing behind his work and replying to people is so poor, I wouldn't even want Oskar as a friend. I came back to have a bracket installed that I ordered on line, and happily installed it for free. This past weekend I brought it back for some vibration in the rear deck I was getting from the OEM Bang & Olufsen system. Worst customer service I have ever received I went to get a quote on my car and waited a long time just to talk to Oscar, then as soon as a BMW pulled up ditched me and helped that customer right away. Oskar's is the place to get your custom sound on! Had my son's 63 Bel Air fitted with a custom dual 10" subs, 6x9s, and pods up front. Liked it so much, brought in the 65 VW 21 window and had it customized too! I visited a few shops before the work - always the same story," yeah we can do something that will make it sound great for about. $1.5 a $2k." You never hear the details and rarely any follow up. Oskar explains everything and gives suggestions that work. I would have never put pods in up front but, he suggested it and they are awesome! My motor is loud but, the music is louder, not distorted, and not over the top expensive. Call or stop by for a no BS quote. read more

Oskar's has always taken great care of me. A few years ago, they installed a TPMS antenna that was missed in manufacturing so I could read my pressures and use keyless entry, and were able to isolate my head unit and Atari gauges to be sent away for programming, with a very clean reinstall. More recently, I decided my audio system was not performing well with a 3.5" centre speaker overwhelming two 6.5"s up front. Jose recommended we amplify those speakers and also put the rear speakers on the unit as well instead of the garbage amp/woofer under my seat. Oscar, the owner, found that my front speakers had been wired to create an incorrect polarity, as the in and out commands to fire were fighting themselves. They rewired the whole system and my car is now a concert hall of Kicker speakers. Also, I can now roll down my passenger window without hearing it scrape against the bum wire job I had previously. Jose also noticed my headlamp clusters were oxidized and they offered a full resurface and clearcoat which was well worth it. They also couldn't let it go home dirty and performed a full inside and out detail and wax. It was sitting out front beside a C6 Corvette and a Lamborghini Huracan LP-610 when I got back with their complementary 2019 Chevrolet Cruze loaner car. If you want the job done right the first time, save yourself the trouble and head to Oskar's. They'll treat you and your car like you're part of the family. read more

Overpromised and Overcharged I was promised 9 things at a set price and they delivered 5 only after I took the car back in three additional times to try to let them make it right. They didn't even fix the problem of an iPod interface which was why I had taken it there in the first place. There are no refunds either. When I was leaving for the final time, they were trying to up-sale me a new head unit on top of everything. The things they did install were mostly done right except for the engine noise that now comes through in my speakers (you have to pay EXTRA for that to be fixed). "Ripped off" would be a good description of my experience. I wanted to give them the benefit of a doubt but after 3 returns and being told that they just can't make the iPod work without charging me more it felt more like a shake-down not customer service. For full disclosure there were problems with the rear speakers that they weren't able to install due to them being the wrong size, but the price remained the same and that didn't go to offset the price, or install a head unit to run an iPod. They were friendly, but that didn't give me what I paid for. read more

I took my Chevy 2500HD in to have the stepper motors replaced in the instrument cluster. I was told that all 7 motors were replaced and had 4 lights replaced in the dash. Drive back home 33mi each way. The next day I go to the store and the gauges were again acting up, they were all reading incorrectly. So I call Oscar to let him know he has me bring it back in the following Saturday. He works on it for a couple of hours and says it's should be fine now, but if it does it again he thinks it COULD BE the circuit board. My truck was never hooked to to a scanner to be diagnosed the second time I went back in. They are a electronics shop hello don't you think you would investigate it further. He used his personal cell to FaceTime with me so we could problem solve under the dash of my car. He used text and his special search engine to find out specifics about my 10 year old car alarm. Jr offered to drive 45 minutes to look at my car! He was endlessly helpful as we worked together to fix my stranded car. Thankfully, Jr was able to fix it remotely. A total mess........... I've been a customer for many years and at least three cars. This was the last straw. To start with I was miss quoted then the unit I selected took over a month to get in. I should mention I found it on the shelf in two stores in the area. These people are a factory dealership?? I wonder how that happened. The car was a mess when i got it back ,bits of wiring and little tuffs of paper on the floor. The radio didn't work and neither did the steering wheel controls. I was told it wasn't include. Really, wouldn't you expect the new radio to work? I went to another shop that was highly recommended. The antenna was hooked up with the wrong harness from this shop and the wheel controls didn't exist. They took care of these problems and a couple more these folks had nothing to do with. In and out the same day, car cleaned and everything explained. These people I ended up with are not even Pioneer dealers. Pioneer should check into that,they'er missing the boat here.
